How Z Modular is changing the construction industry

[Music] [Applause] [Music] I'm excited to be here today at our Z modular Killeen Texas facility our facility here in Killeen is the most recent to open all of our facilities and the most technologically advanced this is a 200 thousand square foot purpose-built facility for the modular industry this facility built about 1.5 million square feet of finished product a year currently we think we could complete 2 million square feet of finished product out of this factory so at Z modular we're taking a new look at how people build buildings and we're moving from construction to manufacture we call the Z modular ecosystem it all starts at the front end with the way we design our projects those designs lead directly to our automated shop drawings which drive manufacturing on the floor on top of that they automatically produce software that connects with our robots our framing system our CNC machines so that all of that is automated and delivering a consistent precise product I know exactly when something's going to be delivered and I know exactly how much it's going to cost because I've started from the beginning and I model it all the way to the end it really increases predictability and reduces risk for the customer precision in the process is the biggest field but predictability that's what we have precision of nobody's measure to 64th of any traditional construction when you do that and then everything else becomes a sub assembly for us we can build our plumbing off-site in a station we can do our electrical in a station we can build our facades at his station and put everything on like that like a car manufacture goes our buildings are steel buildings they're type 2 type 1 B type 1 construction super precise as you can see the equipment here we know that the design at the start of the design process when it's going to be delivered so it's very predictable very high quality and at the end of the day much much quicker process the labor shortage in North America is a problem that's talk about now at the highest levels of any government the average agent of national attrition is above 40 years old in North America average ages of master plumbers about 50 years old North America that's a unsustainable trajectory we're going on when we can build in a plant we require way less and less resources in the build and we can still keep up with our building needs and go with America one of the really exciting thing about Z modular is how quickly we're scaling this is one of four Z modular facilities that we own all capable of producing over a million square feet some of them as much as 2 million square feet on top of that we have an affiliate program where we open-source this technology we allow other companies to build with our system we enable them by helping them with the design we help them with product procurement we provide some products and services to them they're able to build the same Z modular product for their customers that we provide and we already have several affiliates signed up also capable of producing several more million square feet of finished product the reality is anybody who's struggling to get projects done that are looking for a better way to get buildings built to consider the Z modular affiliate program what's really excited about Z modular is that you've taken a a world class manufacturer like settlement industries and had them enter the construction business and as a result we look at things completely differently we're always thinking about a quicker faster more efficient way to deliver things our company is at the end of the beginning we've gotten the growing pains behind us now we're our next is real simple we don't go solid we're going to challenge you know the the bid rise and high-rise markets put facades on 20-story building that's what's next for us it's we're going to change the way buildings get built America [Applause] [Music]
