So today we're going to be leaving Singapore and making our way to Malaysia but we're gonna get there by bus and we are going to be heading to a town called Johor Bahru in Malaysia our goal for the rest of the year is to make it all the way up to Vietnam by Crossing land borders only so this means no more Flats but this is where we've been staying in Singapore and we've been spending about a thousand six hundred Singapore dollars per night and this place is like a shoebox it's absolutely tiny it has everything we need but this is the cheapest we could find just to give you an idea this is basically our door and this is the walkway that we have our babies here we have a small cupboard space this is 11 square meters we have a kitchen on this side but it does have like a kettle and a toaster and as well as a microwave so they do have everything and this is our bathroom small and doable but for a thousand six hundred Singapore dollar it is the cheapest that we could find so we're gonna go now to Johor Bahru and hopefully it's a lot cheaper on their side Goodbye by the place that we stayed at is a place called Heritage collection pretty cool place to stay to be honest our bus stop is not too far away so we're going to try and use our train cards that we got in order to use the Metro System here in order to get onto the bus to head to Malaysia I think we're gonna have to cross immigration by the river so let's see how this whole process goes damn that's cool hey so we haven't had breakfast yet so we're heading down the road to go and grab something to eat we've been coming to this place every single day to get something to eat because they have delicious food but as you can see we're staying right in the heart of kampung Glam which is the Muslim quarter here in Singapore hey this is where we got our Donna kebabs so the space we've been getting breakfast the whole time is super cheap and it's closed I think today is a holiday oh my gosh and we don't have breakfast oh well that would have been amazing but that place does sell like a potato samusa but like a huge one for two dollars super cheap and affordable compared to other things here in Singapore we have a roasted chicken kebab for breakfast hello [Music] thank you so much where can we warm this up over there okay thank you that's nice that they have a microwave yeah and then he said number three all right so that's just 30 seconds oh that's hot before we head to the bus terminal I think we're gonna sit here and just eat our breakfast here before we head to the bus terminal it's literally just down there super close to this area oh it's hot why not goodbye Singapore it's been short but sweet so the terminal that we're actually going to is called the Queen Street bus terminal and according to the internet they have a bus there that goes to the Border where we will have to cross in Immigration this is kind of the first time Leanne and I are ever Crossing Borders generally we always take flights so this is the first time we're actually going to do a border crossing I'm pretty interested to see what immigration is going to be like hopefully it's not so hectic I hope so too one thing I can say so I see some buses down there already an accommodation is like right there we can see it this is our closest terminal is to kapong glam which is amazing so you don't have to take any trains or have a massive mission to actually just get to the station I'm just really hoping we're able to use our train cards because when we arrived in Singapore we just uploaded these cards with some money and then we are able to use them on the public transport so I think we should be able to use a chair and I hope we have enough money on these cards because I'm not sure if we have enough money we'll see how much it costs once we're there yeah Singapore to jahor Hi how are you I'm good and you can use a card how much is it per person for 4.80 yeah for two people yeah oh it worked we had enough money awesome good you're good take it he has your ticket thank you thank you so much which color is the bus yay the red color red color bus what do you know one zero eight okay thank you so much uh about 45 minutes ah okay I've been here more than one hour I don't know ah no problem thank you so much thank you I guess we'll figure this all out hey uh he has a red Bus 108 oh he has the bus already this is amazing apparently there's quite a few buses that come but I didn't think it was going to be like this quick it's the easiest travel day so far let's hope I'm not drinking it hello man how are you do you need this it's good hey thank you oh no relax we're all doing the same man I guess you can just sit anyway oh okay things in here yeah I was gonna put this this side so this is kind of what the bus looks like pretty comfortable seats people hold on the rails it's aircon as well but it's pretty empty I think because it goes daily or hourly this one's not packed yeah no not at all but it's pretty comfy maybe we're gonna stop at a few places to pick up other people because this might just be a bus stop but I mean it's very very clean and comfortable very clean no luggage space so you kind of hope that the bus is a little bit empty just so you can leave your bags in a seat our bags have their own seats but a big window as well bye-bye Singapore snack guess you're eating the same shirts today yeah you got ironed on if you're looking for shirts like this as well you can head to our shop we'll leave the link here on top and it's right in the description below because I'm sure you want some buddy Moon merch so that you can join the buddyman we have more than just shirts there so be sure to check it out and there we are officially leaving Singapore I'm starting to leave it seems like there's a few like bus stops there you can even take taxis to Malaysia so you don't only have to do a bus you can take a taxi I think this bus is actually going to stop at the Singapore border and then I think we're gonna have to climb off and then maybe walk towards the other side and then from there onwards you might be able to catch another bus towards our accommodation not entirely sure but I guess we're going to find that out today I think on our no on our Visa we only get visa on arrival for Malaysia so at least you didn't have to deal with all of that before we're hoping that you would be able to get it at the border but see that there is a bus I'm sure you can [Music] great thing about a bus ride is you kind of get a tour of the city as well and you get to see things that you wouldn't normally see in a plane there goes our bags that should be fun gonna break our bags even more than they are they are our bags are manhandled on the Flat's over so they're not doing well even though we've had them for such a shorter yeah for some reason it's always every single time we fly through India and use an Indian airline that our bags get completely busted but I think they'll break more on the bus like that and we've just gotten onto the highway oh Subaru WRX cool car this guy's going to work on a normal day sometimes it feels really weird being a traveler because you're kind of like on a holiday exploring a country and other people are just simply going home going to work doing normal things it's weird like this yo this is our work day and people have other work days you just think of that sometimes it's kind of like weird like imagine being in your own country and you going to work and coming back home and somebody else is like wow wow this place is amazing and you just like dude it's Monday what's wrong with you this is a different weird feeling sometimes is she approaching the checkpoint where we're going to do immigration yeah there it says yeah some cars yeah Woodlands checkpoints sure this is like an entire airport this is a huge border crossing my word like everyone's getting out I think we're gonna have to go stand in the queue and take all our bags with us do we take our beds yeah you got to take everything okay guys let's go there's more people climbing off over here and I think we actually got to go stand in a queue this is when you act like a sheep and you just follow I'm not sure if we actually clown back on that bus or if we have to catch a different bus but I guess we'll see what the process is like hopefully we'll be able to form as much as we can but it's also security so I don't know everyone is carrying their bags just like us so I think we might have to catch another bus on the other side because this is a massive border crossing I'm assuming there will be buses on that side too so we should be fine no photography or recording we'll try to show you as much as we can there is a lot of people crossing check at that inside the immigration so it's a fancy land border crossing there 12 seconds later did you make it I made it too difficult no I wasn't looking at the yellow sticker because I had to do it to us so I think we've just passed Singapore immigration now now we've got to go through to Malaysia we basically just have to scan our passports and that was it pretty similar to an airplane that was the easiest immigration I've ever done in my life so now we're just following we all like just she's just following I think there's a standard process yeah well he has a bus I think we get back onto our bus baby I don't know what's our bus number yeah I think it was 108. sheesh I don't know a bus number go go go okay so we get back onto the same bus okay oh hello wow wow go go go process no wonder everyone was running yeah so we just scanned it in we haven't been asked for a Visa or anything like that so I don't know where these buses are gonna go to but I guess it's maybe going to take us to another stop yeah I think we just exited Singapore now and then this is kind of No Man's Land probably and then we cross over the bridge maybe and then enter Malaysia that side into the immigration we'll figure it out and we'll figure it out and here we go oh we've officially left Singapore goodbye beautiful Singapore and we're in no man's land and gonna cross the bridge over the ocean and Malaysia is just over there it's basically like the same country right well it was once the same country so here we are crossing over the bridge there's lots of people answering Singapore on this side as well seems a lot busier entering Singapore than exiting it here we go it's yes crossing the bridge and this is how big I don't know what do you call this I'd rather because there's still sea Waters I don't know if it's classified as a river and then there's Malaysia so far a really simple process to be honest wow that queue is Long hey we are going to be staying in that building right over the the uh vague so hopefully from our room we might be able to still see Singapore yeah hopefully and at least once we've passed immigration on that side it will be a quick and simple process to get to our room yeah I think this bus might actually go towards a different bus stop but I don't think we're going to need to take it so we could have possibly found a cheaper bus ride because we don't need to go so far but it doesn't matter no it wasn't 4.80 pretty good pretty good sure I feel I feel this just because it's the first time like that even though that process was so simple my heart is racing it was also because it was so rushed but it's exciting to cross the land order and here we now kind of going through I think Malaysia's immigration he has all the cars so that seems like a long process where we're in a different section and in a different Lane because we're a bigger vehicle Visa oh there we go yours is a rashay oh the bus driver said to me okay bye so that kind of makes me think we don't climb on the bus again it looks like down there is we're actually the buses were parking so I think this might be the turnaround point for Singapore and then on the other side there's a turnaround point for the Malaysians or anybody coming from Malaysia and here it looks like an airport terminal basically here on the Malaysian side at Johor Bahru so basically just got to go through and probably get a Visa passport Malaysia foreign passport oh Australia looks like an airport it does look like an airport I am so impressed so far with this entire system I really didn't think it would be as smooth as this and welcome to Malaysia yeah there was plain and simple just basic normal immigration and because we are South African we can enter Malaysia visa-free so that was simple just basically a stamp from the passport and now all we've got to do is just walk to our hotel as simple as that yeah it's actually a very very nice system it's not like other border crossings that we've been to before we even started a YouTube channel like they in South Africa to Mozambique where there's basically nothing this is so nice it's like you're walking through two different airports but just on land and there was also not really any useful bags through scanners there's just someone who made you open the bag they just looked through it and that was that that was it so now we're just going to head to a mall in order to get a SIM card because our Singapore SIM cards do not work here and then from there onwards you're gonna go and check our room because it's a lot cheaper on this side compared to Singapore all right so we got a SIM card it cost us 50 Ringgit for 50 gigabytes and now we are gonna go and make our way towards our accommodation so we've made it to our apartment building picked up our keys and we're looking for unit six that's eight seven so I think there's just who's there are you sure that's correct it is the right one right this is a complicated system it's the hardest Airbnb I've ever I had to check into YouTube Passing immigration was a lot some place that's two numbers and then we've got to type in a code okay boom boom so every time we want to enter that's what we got to do maybe here we are here we are this is our Airbnb it's got a lovely kitchen a very spacious kitchen so we could possibly cook ourselves our own stuff we have like our own little Lounge area our bedroom I even got like a kitty's table if you had kids and a map on the wall and ask big TV some plants to bring this place to La this is like someone's entire report yeah this is actually really nice and this is a huge bathroom oh wow plus walking cupboards something I don't even have at my own house but this is really really nice how much are we paying we are paying about 600 Rand which is 40 Singapore dollar because that's what I've ordered for so we're getting this for 40 Singapore dollar where our other accommodation was 120 Singapore Singapore dollar and we have triple the space yeah so you actually kind of want to stay this side and then just Transit straight through to the Singapore you know area and go and explore Singapore and then come back and stay this side because it'll be cheaper I mean if you have to look out the window I wonder if it actually opens there we go there we go okay those building's in the way but like literally down there a kilometer away that is where Singapore is that's incredible huh but we are going to be exploring the whole of Malaysia from here so from Johor Bahru we're gonna go up North and head to Malacca and to Kuala Lumpur and all those places so I guess we'll see you in the next video yeah we're going to explore a little bit of the city tomorrow and then we'll head up further north yep so stay tuned and if you like this video give it a like and don't forget to subscribe and I'll see you guys in the next video [Music] foreign
