hey everyone it's tara with sweet country glam bringing you this week's video we're gonna be talking about all about the joy in this video going through all of the questions that i have been receiving for the last six months so let's get started on our community page a few days ago that i was going to be doing a part two of pretty much unboxing the joy and now what that's pretty much going to be our focus for this video if you haven't already subscribed yet make sure you smash that like button and hit subscribe so we can continue to bring you great content okay so real quick you can see i have these awesome dream catcher dangling earrings go ahead and check us out we have our link on our channel page right now they are right here i have a picture with me wearing them including a couple of others so you'll have to go and check those out those are free shipping all the way through thanksgiving all right friends so now you probably have already unboxed your joy you some of you have been tinkering around with it some of you've been telling me all of the great things that you've been creating you've been posting them on our facebook page thank you so much for that it means a lot to me that i get to see what everybody's making because we're on this cricket journey together i am still learning as well and that's why i think outside the box and i like to do things kind of my own sweet country glam way and then i share with you the end results and what works and what doesn't here's my guy right here as you can see i got my pretty uh hydro dipping that my husband did in a previous video you can go and check up there now this guy was 179. and that seems to be the uh solid going rate for this now there are some bundles but you're not gonna find many especially with all of the craziness in the world now um shipping is uh horrendous friends as we already know so um be patient because i try to make sure that what i have available to you guys is available for at least that week uh during that live video so quite a few things to cover today so bear with me and if you have any additional questions i want you to make sure you comment down below so make sure you smash that like button and i went through all of my joy unboxing from my march video and just sat down and thought okay what were the biggest hitting questions and that's what i want to bring to you today after you get it set up was how do i get it connected so we're just going to kind of go in order and which makes sense to getting this joy and working order first off i have a mac computer i call it a dinosaur because i think i got it in 2009 i think this was like their first big push for this type of laptop when i did my unboxing back in march the computer did not pair with the joy with the code that was sent with it now i had a theory because a lot of pairing codes are one one one one went back and i tried it again and by golly the one one one one pairing code work don't ask me why but i think that's just a universal pairing code with bluetooth i could be wrong and you feel free to correct me in the comments below but it worked for me if it doesn't work then there may be a software update that you may need but honestly i don't think that there is going to be any any compatibility issues with older model computers i did get a question about a chromebook i am not sure if it does work but i can tell you this right now when i uh was in the classroom with my students they were able to link their bluetooth headphones so as long as the chromebook has bluetooth capabilities i don't think you're gonna have a problem connecting any of your devices okay so moving on the other question that was super big stickers now you can print sticker you can print stickers and what i mean by print is you can use the cricut pens that are for the joy the pins are not the same as what you would get with the traditional maker or explorer air they are different pins this really ticked me off with cricket i will tell you that right now this was not fair for them to change up the diameter of the clamp i thought that could have been easily adjusted on the joy and not taken away that it was a smaller compact unit so unfortunately you got to invest in more pins they're not too terribly expensive i think you can get three colors for like 6.99 definitely see a couple of links that i have down below for a lot of the qriket supplies that you need as i was saying with stickers you can have them drawn out in the different colors they also have infusible ink colors and this is really fun because then you can go ahead and have the design drawn in like um like a black or a gray and then you can go in and color it and then turn it into an infusible ink decal on a shirt on a bag on a robe uh maybe you're preparing for a winter wedding so it doesn't have a print option you can only draw or cut but there are creative ways around it so this is where i encourage you to think outside the box on this there's a couple of different ways that you can go about it you can cut them with vinyl you can draw them with your pens do the infusible ink totally doable unfortunately it doesn't have a print option but let me tell you this you can turn around go into another platform that allows you to go ahead and transfer jpegs or svgs and then you can go ahead and save them as a pdf file or a jpeg file and print them to your printer and cut them out yourself now i know that's a little tedious but you can still make stickers using a printer and a different type of platform to cut from off the top of my head is avery.com is a great place to go for stickers you can create your own designs you can create a free account i've done it with my business cards it actually works out really great friends so check out avery.com as a backup to your sticker making needs for the print option don't forget smash that like button so now we have the blades now there's only one blade on the joy and he's super super duper tiny compared to the other blades you see you see him right there when you push the button in you can go ahead and pop your blade out see how easy that was it's just a whole magnetic thing where you push it back in feed the blade in let it drop in okay and he's in there now that's how you replace your blades i want to throw out there you can get blade replacements pretty much any craft store you can go ahead and check our links down below um they're making universal blades now so you don't need to be spending a larger amount for one blade when you could probably get like a pack of 10 pack of 20. i replaced my blade i want to say it was last month so i had my joy i got it in march the first week it came out let's say i changed it at the six month mark so every six months and boy i'll tell you what i've been using this guy probably almost every single day we've talked about software we talked about stickers and we talked about how it's a no print option but we talked about other options for you um something i do want to talk to you about regarding the blade and what it cuts are materials now this is a really big thing the joy can cut a pretty good range of materials it can cut iron on vinyl it can cut regular permanent vinyl that you just adhere like stickers or decals stuff you put on your tumbler mugs before you epoxy them that kind of thing but it can also do faux leather and thinner sheets of faux leather but you have to make sure that you tape it down some merchant 41 faux leather that i have from i want to say it's from hobby lobby you can see my tape and how i would tape it down on the mat because you want to secure this because this is a really flimsy piece it's like almost as thin as a sheet like a flannel sheet you would put on your bed that is probably the most comparable thing i could give an example to and it's it's really thin material it's the cricut pebbles faux leather as you can see in a lot of my earring tutorials i absolutely love the cricut pebbled faux leather this is the copper this is just by far the best product for the earrings that i have found so far i honestly love this stuff different types of options for you for like a thinner faux leather to more of a sturdier it's still light they probably weigh pretty close to the same amount but i love this stuff and it really holds its own kind of suede and this is this is like a cloth this is like a tablecloth material if you would love this color this i will tell you right now didn't do well in the joy and let me show you when i put it on there and i had it on there pretty good this had a hard time uh because just the way the joy is working how the pressure is this material didn't fare well so the thinner you go the more likely you're gonna get that movement in that snagging so i will tell you right now the joy can snag on you that is a con it's not a perfect machine none of the machines are and some days it's going to work flawlessly for you and some days you're going to be like what am i doing wrong or i want to throw this machine through the window it happens i've been there a few times so you just have to walk away and you got to come back and be like okay how can i do this better what did i miss did i miss a step go back and fix it htv heat transfer vinyl okay because people are asking what is the difference and that is a great question i had no idea the difference in these types of vinyls and it was absolutely overwhelming for me to try and figure it out iron on transfer vinyl of course it'll be labeled on the front of the container that when you buy it it'll have like a little iron sign a lot of paper studio a lot of cricut a lot of sizer will tell you with that little symbol on the front here's a paper studio one you're gonna notice because it has kind of like this really light shimmery side on the back this is your glue okay this is a really pretty iron on transfer foil that i've used on plenty of my earrings especially my fall one and then one of my shirts and the thing is is that it has a clear film over the top of it now what that clear film does is that's your protective layer when you go over with your mini press or your easy press machine so you do not melt the image that you're putting on okay so then another one is i love this this is my confetti um heat transfer vinyl from sizer and it's from vinyl packs this stuff is absolutely amazing i love vinyl packs i love their sizer glitter vinyl absolutely beautiful guys this is an a lot of my tutorials for my double sided earrings matte side is your glue okay this is your adhe this is going to get sticky once it's heated and then you can see how it has that shiny film and let me go ahead i have already cut stuff on these these were my heart earrings for valentine's day so you can see how it has that film there now i reuse this film i'll take the piece off and then i will and this is not usually traditionally how you do it but this is how i do it um i like to have a bigger piece so i'll probably cut out a whole rectangle of this so that it covers the entire piece and the earring to protect the earring because friends you can melt your faux leather again you're gonna have a matte finish on back and a really shiny glossy side on front for heat transfer vinyl okay now another thing to remember when you're working with heat transfer vinyl you have to mirror your image especially if an image is looking a certain way and you want it to appear that way when you iron it on you have to make it look backwards before you send it in okay and i'm just gonna show you a qriket one it just says premium vinyl and this stuff is where you're gonna peel it off the backing the backing here okay this is the stuff that you peel off and you have to weed on top of many other things and we also have infusible ink sheets as well i had a previous tutorial where i used the joy and i cut out infusible ink and i kind of did an ombre coaster super pretty so many things you guys can do with this so a lot of fun definitely a money maker for you uh the joy would be great to um go out to craft fairs when they start opening back up i definitely miss my craft fairs because this is definitely something that you can make a little side business on also have your permanent joy smart vinyl this is stuff that you're not going to need a map for because it already has those little grid lines and it's a very sturdy piece of material um i love that i can just hurry and load this in the machine i hate weeding this stuff though this stuff's a pain in the butt i'm not gonna lie i love my heat transfer vinyl more than i like regular vinyl because this stuff is a pain in the took us to not only weed but to transfer on to transfer paper and that brings me into my next thing there is a different type of transfer paper for a different type of project and i've had to learn that the hard way let me tell you why i've used the strong uh grippy cricut transfer tape now you can like stick it on your shirt to get rid of some of the crazy stickiness on this because for one reason if you do epoxy mugs like i do and there's glitter on them you are gonna rip up so much glitter using this tape to put a decal on you're not you're gonna cry you have to use your sizer and this stuff is not nearly as sticky but once you get the decal on there it's holding it long enough to transfer it to your mug or whatever project that it is that you're having to transfer to and this stuff is probably your number one go-to if you want to get your cricut joy vinyl off the paper because for some reason this stuff doesn't want to come off that's why it's called permanent i guess i don't know how else to explain it other than that so i hope that makes it a little bit more transparent on what sticky paper transfer tape to use i would say sizer is for more of you know delicate transferring of items on top on top of other items and you want your really sticky grippy tape for a lot of um your other items that are just going to be really hard to get off the paper okay so i have my strong grip transfer tape and then i have my sizer tape which is more for working with things such as like i have my mug right here and it has a glitter layer that i had epoxied and i'm getting ready to epoxy over the top so that i can seal in the vinyl that i just put on this is what i would use for a job like that because i don't want the tape to peel off any of the glitter and leave any imperfections on my cup now if i was working with say i was making a tumbler or something with a solid clean surface that there's nothing that the tape could pull i would use my grippy tape for that otherwise you're gonna take the chance of causing some major damage to any artwork that you've done if it's just been recently painted or had glitter on it and if it's not already sealed with some type of epoxy this stuff is going to cause some major issues with your design you just make the best decision based on the project that you're working on now when you get your cricut joy you have your card mat and this is where you put the back of the card in and you have the front of your card now you notice that there's three different sizes okay friends so i have my joy card mat set up and as you can see i have it right up to this seam you want it as snug as possible up there i also have my scotch tape up against the side to keep it nice and snug because i've always had my little side corners get messed up in the joy because it gets bunched up or the card shifted just a tad and caused it to mess up now if there's nothing that is being cut or trimmed right here you can go ahead and get a piece of tape and secure that down you don't always have to use the cricut joy cards you can go all the way to these other grid lines and i'm going to show you that when you go to make a joy card it gives you an option next to mirror there's a drop down box on what card you're going to be using on your mat and that was eye opening for me i did not see that in the very beginning and then once i started looking at it i was like oh aha moment now another thing that i wish that they did and i did write to cricut and i wanted them to get rid of those little card insert slashes because there's times that i don't want the card insert slashes because they get messed up like seven times out of ten they would get messed up on me and it was driving me insane and i even had someone else ask me they're like oh can they get rid of those little slashes you know those little cuts for when you put the little insert behind it and gives it that little holographic underneath and i tried fiddling with it and there was just there was no way to get rid of it it doesn't even allow you to customize the card because then i was going to go to contour and change it so they do need to open up that option so that you can contour and at least remove the cuts and any other cuts that maybe you don't want so that we can make them a little bit more our own style so maybe right cricut and ask them to do the same and update the joy cards then you also have your regular green mat and i just want to show you how faux leather can get on a mat i wanted to give you an example of how i get that off by using my little scraper and you can just go through and use your scraper get all of the extra excess off okay works out pretty good and then you can go ahead and wash it with some warm soapy water and then just let it dry and it will start regaining its stickiness back um i stopped buying name brand because they just weren't shipping fast enough i found these ones off of amazon i will go ahead and leave the link below works just the same then there's longer mats now when you're doing banners or birthday banners i wasn't gonna buy another map because i had to hurry and do something one day and it didn't want to take this mat with the long piece vinyl i had because it said it wasn't long enough so i needed something at least 10 inches in length and i thought i'm gonna cut one of my old green mats up so i took this guy and i got a permanent marker and i drew a straight line and you have to have a steady hand and you get some good sharp scissors i love my fiskars they're super sharp love them love them love them i'll leave a link for you and just cut straight down and by golly it worked i was so excited saved me shipping and time now i have my own mat and i can send it through now i just need to go and cut one of my long 24 inch mats for some of my longer banner projects that i have coming up just a little quick tidbit there for you you can make your own long mat and you don't have to worry about going to the store i now want to walk you through a couple of things on design space talking about how you can go ahead and upload fonts and svgs and a couple of different platforms that i would love to introduce you to creative fabrica and design bundles because these places have been absolutely amazing and i love working with both of these companies i will go ahead and have a link down below so that you can get 30 off a subscription to creative fabrica and they have just a huge assortment of fonts and svgs including embroidery patterns and sewing patterns for all of my sewing and embroidery friends out there let's jump over to design space and just walk you through a couple of things that you have asked me in the past now right here if you look you can see where it has your machine options and once you get them activated they'll be available to you so i have all three so you just click on the appropriate one in which you're wanting to make a design with okay now what i would like you to do is over here there's your three lines this is where you can view your profile where you can go to the home where you can go back to your canvas now if you scroll down you can see machine setup this is where you're going to initially go so if you are waiting for your machine to come you want to come here i'm going to go ahead and click on that i'm going to make sure i save anything i did do a couple of things on here so you can see right now it's asking me what machine i would like to set up and then you would just go ahead and click on the appropriate machine and then you would just click on the one that you want to go ahead and set up you would click on the joy it gives you information to walk you through how you set it up and then once it links it will go ahead and hit continue now see i unplugged mine so i could show you what it looks like so i'm going to go ahead and go back same thing goes for the easy press you would go ahead and get it plugged in and you go ahead and make sure that the power is off and then you'll go ahead and get it plugged in with your usb port and it'll go and let you know when the device has been found so just a couple of quick ways that you can go ahead and set up different machines all right so you're gonna go ahead and hit the back button go ahead and hit the x i'm going to exit machine setup click on canvas so it'll bring me back so now the next thing that we need to talk about is being able to pull fonts and svgs from the two platforms that i mentioned to you earlier creative fabrica and design bundles now cricut design space has a bunch of images and whatnot if you have premium access that you spent over a hundred dollars for i in the last couple of months have realized that i am not going to renew mine and let me tell you why because you still have to pay for stuff and i don't like that and honestly i very rarely use images off a design space i get them elsewhere because i upload all of mine from other files from creative fabrica and design bundles so let me go ahead and let me show you exactly all of the amazing things that you can be getting from creative fabrica look at the unlimited fonts that you have resources graphics and downloaded sources there are so many things here that you are able to get it's just absolutely amazing they have embroidery patterns they have sewing patterns so many great things my friends and what's super great is that they have some amazing deals where you can get 30 percent off using sweet country glam 30 off of their premium access where you're gonna get access to everything at thirty percent off every month so making it roughly i think twenty twenty one dollars in some tax every month as long as you want it cancel any time super great they have so many wonderful things here you can find so many fonts and then you don't have to worry about paying 4.99 a font on cricut design space so let me go ahead and show you memberships also for design bundles so design bundles is also attached to font bundles and you can see their gold membership here 18.99 you can even try it for seven days for free you also have the opportunity to store credit on your account through paypal and then that way you're not billed on your card you already have a little bit of savings stored in there for you and they're constantly adding new products every week just like creative fabrica these are great places to check out again there is a great membership here if you want a corporate license because you're going to be selling these items in bulk you can go ahead and check out the corporate license or just the premium access you have design bundles and you have creative fabrica to go ahead and choose from again i do get 30 off at creative fabrica please see the link in the description and use my coupon code sweetcountryglam30 so let's say you really love all of these unique fonts and look at how beautiful these are they show you you click on a bundle you go through you get to see everything that's included so you see all i mean i'm loving all of these right now these look super fun oh my goodness corgi puppy how cute is that i think this is definitely a winner i'm gonna download this i'm gonna show you exactly how this works so let's say you go ahead you purchase it i already had an account i already have my balance in there i downloaded it as you can see at the bottom it's downloading it in a zip file friends this is one reason it's not going to work on your cell phone the cell phones are not able to unzip these types of files because a lot of them are just too big and it's not compatible so once you get the unzip file you're going to go ahead and click so that it opens up and it's going to populate you can see your zip file and then now it has unzipped it and so now look at all of these amazing fonts you have super beautiful so click on one i always download the otf you can look at both of them they're exactly the same uh but for whatever reason the otf file works really well on my mac and i don't really have any issues this is super cute i like this aloha march okay so what you're going to do you double click on it however your computer works and then it's going to open up your font book or whatever it's called on your device on mac it's called a font book and then you're going to click on it to install it it's going to validate it and it's going to populate it in and now you can see all of the beautiful symbols that you have now uppercase lowercase the really cool little different types of curly cues and all the little accents and what's really great is if you want the specific one you would just copy and paste it into the text box on design space i'm going to command c and copy this n and i'm going to go ahead and minimize my font book because i want to be able to come back and use it again and i'm going to minimize my screen here so that i can go back to my canvas and i'm going to populate a text box and i'm going to do command b and populate that n n and voila so having your font book open and accessible you can go ahead and put in whatever letter you want and what's really nice is it put it in the font that i am currently on on bohemia spirit which i got from design bundles by the way so i'll go ahead and have a link down below and i'm using sweet letter from creative fabrica on the top here and purple okay so i'm gonna go ahead and delete that now i'm going to come back to upload so now you downloaded the font it's in your font book and it's aloha march so i go ahead and just have a little pad of paper next to me and write down some of the ones that i want to use right away and this is super pretty autumn in november i love this one this is one of my favorites that i love using as well these are all my fonts that i have downloaded and some that were already on here um just basic fonts when i bought the computer but these are the ones that i've added absolutely love all my fonts super fun i just write down a lot of the ones that i like and then i go ahead and make sure that i remember them so now this is already loaded in now one thing you have to remember you may need to restart design space for them to populate onto design spaces icloud so let's go ahead and i'm going to back out of this canvas i'm just going to go to my projects and then i'm going to go back in and i'm going to hit customize so go back into click on fonts go to systems and see if it populated today i'm going to go ahead and cancel out a cricut and then i'm going to jump right back in so now i'm going to click on here i'm going to go and type in and now we have aloha match available and i'm just going to go and put poppy so you can see it super cute so now that you have uploaded a font that is those are the steps so once again you're going to pick the bundle that you want download it click on the zip file the zip file will then take you to your font your font book you will see it here it'll be available you'll have to shut down qriket design space and then reopen it if you haven't opened design space prior to downloading all your fonts and svgs then you don't need to worry about restarting it and then they should populate in by just going to a canvas and just clicking on text so once again once you're in there you'll just go ahead and click on a text button and type in the name of it and it should populate for you and you can even go over to systems and it'll show you as well okay cricut these are just all cricut fonts okay and as you can see you can go through here even after paying almost over a hundred dollars i still have to buy certain ones and i think i found so many other great funds on these other platforms so definitely check them out definitely worth every penny i will tell you that much i use them all the time okay so now that you have a font downloaded you're going to do the same thing with an svg now what i mean by that is you're going to unzip the file just like you've done before i downloaded on this tennessee whiskey one for a mug that i made for my husband you can see right here i picked the svg or the png and you go ahead and you're gonna just drag and drop it now let me show you how i drag and drop go to upload go to upload an image and then you're going to go ahead and bring up see how i have them overlapped and i just drag and drop and make sure everything looks beautiful name it and tag it accordingly if you like and then hit save and that is how you upload an image to go to your uploads you can see everything you've uploaded here and if you want to click on it and add it in you just go ahead and it'll populate right here if you didn't want it you just hit the x but if you did you go ahead and insert the image into your canvas i'm gonna hide the pumpkins for now is how you can put text together now you can see that the sweet letter from creative fabrica was pretty much well done already it's nice and concise everything looks great now if you look here on my bohemia spirit things are a little bit out of place because it's not all one unit so what i'm going to do here is i'm actually going to go to ungroup and then now this allows me to separate my letters any way i like and make them bigger or smaller so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to make them all one unit now try not to make any of the curly attachments go into the center where there's the curly cues in the e's and the a's otherwise when you weld it it's all going to be blacked out so you want to be careful i always like to make some of my letters a little bit bigger just so i feel like they flow a little bit more nicely together this does take time and patience so be patient with yourself once you've created it it's awesome and it's your own unique style and look and that's what i really love about it so you can make your a super big then you can go ahead and select it with your selection box and go ahead and go to group then i want you to come down here to the bottom right hand corner and hit weld okay now i want to be able to show you this also on the ipad because design space looks really different on the ipad and the cell phone so don't worry we're going to do exactly just what we did on those two devices all right friends so now we are on design space on your cell phone now i am using my iphone 11 so i'm going to click on categories and i want to go to the cloud because that's going to bring me to my joy part 2. i'm going to go ahead and hit customize because i want to go over a very similar thing that i just did with you by changing and augmenting the already displayed text okay so we already talked about how this was sweet letter from creative fabrica and how i was using bohemia spirit from design bundles and i got the pumpkins off of a bundle off of design bundles as well so i'll go ahead and leave that link in the description for you because i want to create a really cute shirt so i'm going to go ahead and pull this guy out bigger so i want you to look towards the bottom of your screen you're going to see my finger is dragging this around okay and i want you to go to your actions now once you go to your actions you're going to ungroup okay now this gives them freedom like i said when we did it on the big desktop options to move around and make it smaller now i would suggest getting one of those uh like stylus pins because i feel like my fingers they're not like super fat and big but um i just think it's a little bit easier to see how you're maneuvering with this and then you can guide it so it's definitely going to take some finessing um i would again suggest having a little stylus for your phone for this kind of job otherwise you may want to stick to doing it on a tablet so then this way you can go ahead and move them around make the screen bigger or smaller by zooming in by pinching it so then now you zoom back out grab your next letter zoom back in this way you can line everything up make it bigger or smaller but again do not bring that curly cue through that little loop that you see in that space of the s otherwise when you go to weld it it's not going to look right and then zoom back out and bring my end over zoom back in so i can place him and there we go and then i'm going to zoom back out by pinching my fingers pinching the screen and come over here make sure my a looks good and then i'm going to drag my selection box and go back down and hit group okay then i want to be able to weld it so let's make sure that i welded it correctly none of my things got deleted or nothing got blacked out it looks beautiful now the reason for the weld friends is so then that way when you go to cut this as a sticker or to cut it in general for anything it's not going to leave those little pieces where you connected them as as a cut it's going to want to cut the whole s's curly q out instead of stopping and then starting the o and then the o's curly q starting into the end it's going to cut its whole piece out so when you weld it together it's only going to cut out the unit that it sees in front of you okay so after you upload an image and you save it and you go ahead and type what you want and you go ahead and regroup it and size it to your liking now you can make it as big or as small as you like and now you're ready to cut or draw it on whatever it is that you like and then you have your sizing your line type is right here you want to go ahead if you would like to change the color this is where you can change the color hit apply it changes it and now you have your width and your height you can hit the padlock to unlock it and lock it if needed okay so these are just a couple of quick tips on how you can navigate you can always undo if you didn't like the color change you can hit undo if you need to add more text you just go to text if you want to add an image you just go to images and you can type in what it is that you would like to search for if you want to go to upload and you want to go you want to open up your uploaded images this is where you go and so if you uploaded something on your desktop you can find it here all right then you go ahead and close that guy if you needed to get a shape in there a diamond a heart whatever they are right here under shapes and again edit is where you're going to find your sizing and your line type your actions is going to be probably one of your biggest ones you're going to go to for your grouping you're attaching your slice your weld your flatten and your contour so if i click on contour you can go ahead and click on it you can pinch and zoom it shows all the contours click off of it to hide it and then when you're ready to make it it's in the bottom right hand corner now if you go to the top you're going to see uh there's these three lines and when you click on one it shows you canvas that's what we're in and then home it just takes you to the home and then you have your save button on the left hand side including where your name is in your profile picture with all of your information and information to go to cricut i'm going to go over and show you how i do the same thing with season but on the ipad okay now you can see i am on my ipad and you can see the screen is definitely a lot larger of course i have one of the bigger ipads now again you still have your name and profile in the upper left hand corner it shows you what machine you were selected and connected to and then you have your home your canvas and then your make it button so what i'm going to do is i'm going to go back to categories again and i'm going to go to the cloud and i'm going to pick on my joy part 2 and i'm going to hit customize all right so once again we're working with seasons and this was the one that i showed you go to actions actions is going to be the one where you're going to see and use a lot of your different tools to change and rearrange your images or your fonts as needed you can see it's definitely spaced out in comparison to the cell phone you're going to go ahead and ungroup them and now they are free to do their own movement they are not one solid piece anymore and like i did before on the cell phone just because my fingers i can't see as i hover over the s and its little curly line this makes it a lot easier if i zoom in and then i can see how i connect my letters a little bit easier i had to zoom out and then zoom back in to bring the end in there we go adjust them as you see fit go ahead and select them come back down to group and then you want to weld them now you can see this was part of the reason why i wanted to show you do you notice how that curly cue part of the o is gone don't panic just hit undo okay what we did is we undid the weld all right so go back and click back on him and you need to go to ungroup again i just got to bring him over just a tad so i'll move this over maybe move him down just a little bit and this is where you just have to be patient and just work with your letters because everything works a little bit differently so i'm gonna go ahead and group them and then go ahead and hit weld again and now you can see you created um an even connection between the s and the o and that curly part of the s is not crossing over into that space and now it looks beautiful and this is an ipad preview now i just want to go through and wrap this up for you i've taken enough of your time today i want you to go and have fun this is a great investment let me tell you why start out small get excited about what you want to create create your own little small business with this because the possibilities are endless there are so many things that you can create and make you can do personalized face masks you can do baby onesies you can do clothing i did my halloween mug and i actually used printable vinyl sticker that i uh printed and then had it cut out and had that epoxy over my mug using hippie crafter epoxy this stuff is absolutely amazing um i have a i have a theory i went when i was at home depot looking for our tile and pink colors for our house we're flipping you can see my husband's channel down below um i wanted to see if the ceramic tile would take the infusible ink so i'm going to try that out i just took these out of the container because i love this turquoise color if you haven't noticed i love turquoise and this is what it looks like it looks nothing like the box don't forget smash that like button it's much appreciated there's so many things that you can do yes you are limited on how wide you can make an image ways around that and you can definitely work some creative magic i know you can it's definitely worth starting out small because then you can get comfortable with design space and really think outside the box now when you're ready to upgrade i suggest go ahead and do your own research but you can't really go wrong with either getting the maker or the explorer air too let me tell you i have both of them now the reason why i would say go to the maker first and the only reason is because you are going to get a wide variety of tools to use you are going to be able to cut thicker fabrics different fabrics you're going to be able to cut different types of chipboard foil make dog tags all kinds of things are going to be more readily available to you using the maker because of these different blades and attachments yes the blades are a little bit more pricier but there are switch housing blades where you can buy one blade housing and then just buy the blade attachments and you can just swap them out so it's equips a quick swap housing that are really simple and what's really great is that when you put the material in before you hit go or cut on your machine the maker will tell you what blade or tool you're going to need to use so you don't need to do any of the guessing on that it already knows what to do for you so just to let you know i really think a maker would be a great investment once you're ready to take that next step remember friends life is sweet set some goals and have a blessed day [Music] you
