How To Uninstall Java On MAC M2| M1| Or Any Other Version

hey everyone this is Mukesh here twenty once again from learn hyphenovation.com today in this video we'll talk about how to uninstall Java from Mac operating system and for the reference I'm using MacBook Air M2 but we're using M1 or any other version the concept will remain same I know it sounds very easy because uninstalling is not a big thing but with Java we have to remove certain files because the moment you install new files these files which is existing files might create issue so uninstalling Java is a three-step process and just you need to execute three commands and we are good to go so I will explain each and every command and which file and which directory how to remove in order to uninstall Java completely so in the last video we already discussed how to install Java so if you remember Java by default goes to library and if you search for one folder called Java there's the Java folder which I have and if you go to Java virtual machine right now while recording this lecture I have jdk 11 but let's say if you have jdk 11 13 15 or 17 any other version you will get a different jdk versions so depends which version you want to delete you have to specify since I have already one I will continue with jtk 11 but let's say you have 11 17 and 21 you want to delete 17 or 21 or maybe you want to remove all just follow the same process and again before we uninstall let me check which version I have so if I say Java space hyphen hyphen version I'm using jdk 11. 0.90. so first of all I'm going to use one sudo command because right now we have to remove these files so I'm going to use RM and I will be using one option called hyphen RF so RM basically if you want to remove any files or directory and if it is directory then definitely the directory will have multiple files inside so I'm using hyphen r r means recursively suppose if some directory and the director certain files it will remove all of them and we are doing F which is forcefully basically it will not ask you any confirmation it will delete all the files in directory in one go I'm also using sudo for root access and now let me show you how you can delete so basically as I mentioned we need to delete this particular directory so I will just click on get info I will get this information so to copy this path and paste here so it is still Java virtual machine I need to remove this particular folder also right so I will copy this which is jdk11.jdk that is the First Command that you have to execute it is asking for the password let me enter the Mac password and that particular directory is no longer available yeah you can see that jdk 11 directory is completely gone not only this you also have to remove some other files as well so again go back and go to the library section in the library section you will get one folder called internet so internet plugins in case if you have any Java applet plugin dot plugin you have to remove that file as well since we don't have now so no need to remove in case if you have then again use sudo RM hyphen RF and you can give this path so in case if you get this this is required since in our case the moment I removed that Java applet plugin dot plugin is not available so no need to remove but in case if you find use this third file that you have to check is the support so again click here go back to the library and search for something called application so you can see this application support and in the application support you will get Oracle let me check do we have Oracle no in case if we get one Oracle folder here then you have to remove that particular folder as well and we're good to go so inside Oracle you will get one Java folder you have to remove that as well but in case if you don't have it's completely fine still if you get I will write down the [Music] commands you will be navigating to this particular location which is Library internet plugins javaflet plugins dot plugin in my case I don't have so no need to remove and the last step would be Oracle Java so in that case you will go to library application support and Oracle shower since we don't have we are not going to remove it so in our case only one command is more than enough but if you check with M1 we have to delete these three files and packages now again if I go back and check Java space hyphen version and now since we have uninstalled Java it says the operation couldn't be completed unable to locate a Java runtime yeah so very quick video but very informative in case if you want to uninstall Java space fit version or completely you can follow this I will write down all these steps in the description of this video so you can copy and paste and continue make sure you just change the version that you want to remove that's all for
