[Music] I'm gonna show you how to properly tune a carbureted engine using an o2 sensor tool here we've got the Honda ruckus with the 150 cc engine installed in it and the carburetor there we're just gonna figure out where we're at first alright so this is our tool this is kind of the gauge that we'll plug in but first step is we need to install this ode to sensor setup in to our exhaust to do that we have to drill a hole and once we drill a hole we install this cert thread circuit we're gonna drill the hole right here it needs to be 6 inches from where the exhaust plugs into the motor so we're gonna drill it right here kind of a downward angle here with this guy that way we can install our o2 sensor into the exhaust and then when we're done with it we're able to plug it off with this screw so what's gonna happen is this is gonna get pinched down and it will make a nice seal there yeah so this is right where we're gonna do it I've kind of want to do it between these two crimps where the biggest area is here so I'm gonna just do a little punch here so that it makes it group where I'm gonna drill right there then I'm gonna just take a step drill bit and kind of get rid of this rough air edge here this is the assert that we're in stop Lawrence aren't starting the exhaust so I'm just gonna screw this onto this tool here okay now I'm just gonna push this in there flush hold this nut back here with this crescent wrench and then just start tightening but I want to make sure I'm applying pressure that way the SIRT gets pushed down in there nice and good and as I tighten it its crimping down on the backside and then you can reverse it okay so now I've got this guy in there when I'm not using it I've got this little plug with a copper washer just like that now this is my tuning port most scooters will have this here's one here on ac3 almost all scooters will have that let's see if this one happened this is a Vespa and it has it there it looks like it's broken on but there's two of them there's one here too so it's very common now I can install my Oh to sensor adapter notice that it's cut out here right here that's gonna be the spot where breeze sniffs the exhaust and it's also not right here so you can see what about without guessing I'm just gonna screw this in here all right and I want to make sure that the the open net end is facing the exhaust that way it sniffs it and I'm just gonna lock the lock washer down as you can see you got it installed and now we have to install the little gauge and it's got a suction just like that now I'll run this cord plug the ends in here just like that now I've got this adapter cord for a trickle charger so I'm just gonna plug that in here other end of this cord will get plugged into his existing trickle charger port which is here like that okay so now we've got our gauge hooked up here we'll start it make sure everything's working [Applause] [Applause] at the high speed we're at 13.1 basically his we're at and that's that's pretty dang good the best torque is at thirteen point three so I'll probably leave that but the mid-range just goes all the way down to like twelve sorry we're having problems with our range [Music] down all right since my mid-range was a little rich I'm gonna bring it down I move this needle down a clip so that they'll lean it up this is our our diaphragm here so do that see what happens all right so now I've got everything perfect it basically cruises anywhere between an idle is at about thirteen point five but it'll go up kind of change from 12 five to thirteen five basically and you basically give you some numbers here you can look at but yeah cruise speed thirteen point five that's pretty much where I'm at yeah so everything's looking good and it runs really good so if you're trying to dial in you're a fuel-injected bike or your car great insight get yourself one of these it's a safer tool you can tune your scooter or motorcycle perfectly [Music]
