today I'm going to show you how to travel Dubai [Music] in this video I'm going to be giving you a five day itinerary to Dubai to make sure that you get all of its flavors and all of its sites now everybody knows Dubai is a place of luxury Lamborghinis skyscrapers five-star underwater dining but what if I told you there's a lot more to it than just the glitz and the glamor well this video will show you how to travel Dubai and get the most out of it whether you're on a budget or whether you're here to ball out from Dune bashing in a 4x4 on a budget or swimming in an aquarium full of sharks my only goal today is to make sure you have everything you need to know before getting here but before we get into that I want to give you the lay of the land so that you understand where is the best place for you to stay first of all there's downtown Dubai famous for the Burj Khalifa the Dubai Mall the incredible fountainscapes and it's little brother right next door Business Bay no matter what you're gonna spend some time in this area and the food scene could keep you busy for months this is pretty much the core of the city but be warned that it definitely comes with a price tag now the second most popular area gets you direct access to the ocean all of this that you see right here is jbr and right next to it Dubai Marina and honestly if I was working with a flexible budget this would probably be my number one choice for a short-term stay this Coastal area is full of skyscrapers restaurants and even Beach Clubs but just like downtown just be prepared that it will come with a price tag jbr in the marina are about a 30 minute drive or even Metro ride away from downtown now this area is on the coastline but right next to it is a man-made Coastline and this is known as Palm Jumeirah which is literally a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree you can actually see it right there now Palm Jumeirah is pretty much where you go to ball out it's where a lot of the expensive high-rises are and there's even some hotels and while it's definitely a cool area that's worth a visit it's a little bit remote and takes surprisingly long to get on and off of the Palm trust me it's a lot bigger than you'd think now to get around Dubai forget walking oh my God I see beads of sweat everything is so far apart so you're either going to be taking a taxi or driving the Metro System only has a few connection points even though it is really good usually I like to explore and I like the flexibility so I tend to drive not to mention most places have free parking and that's why I really love the area I'm currently in for the last five years I've been visiting I've been pretty much living here and very exciting I now even have this home here in Dubai it's one of the new upscale neighborhoods by the name of Dubai Hills and the best thing about it is that while each of the other places we've talked about are on Extreme ends Dubai Hills is SmackDown in the center between the airport downtown and the jvr marina area and the awesome thing is just to 300 meters away is a beautiful park with a two kilometer long running track tennis court and basketball court for me Dubai Hills is probably tied for first place for a short-term stay but for medium to long term it's a no-brainer this is where I'd want to be and that's exactly why I bought and built this apartment specialized for digital Nomads which by the way I'd love to have you stay over so if you want to see more about it just just check the link in the description now that we're in a better place and we understand how Dubai Works a little bit I'm gonna give you the start of our five-day itinerary you're going to be landing at dxb and from there you can either take the metro system which goes very conveniently into downtown Dubai for like two dollars but just be warned that again once you're there you're pretty much going to need either taxis Ubers or a rental car usually I rent a car at dxb and from there you're gonna go ahead and use this first day Zero to check into your selected region this bad boy cost me about 25 a day which is pretty standard in the non-high season for a budget vehicle but just know the taxis also aren't that expensive day one of our itinerary is going to be a city day now to start off your day downtown you definitely need to come here to the Fountain not only does this give you one of the best views of the most incredible buildings of our planet but it's also right next to the Dubai Mall which although you might be like me and not be a big fan of shopping there's a lot more that this mall has to offer than your average Mall there's a full-size ice rink with a Snowman there's a massive aquarium what kind of fish is that one there's a massive dinosaur and there's pretty much every designer brand you could imagine they have one of the most luxurious movie theaters I've ever seen you can order food to your lounger seat while watching the minions now I know the most common fears we have are public speaking and Heights but today we're going to confront that because you need to experience what it's like to be all the way at the 124th floor The Observatory known as at the top isn't cheap it's about 60 per person from what I'm seeing online but if you've never been in a tall skyscraper let me tell you it is something truly humbling and incredible to see it's a brief moment of feeling like a god up in the clouds I have to say it's kind of worth the money now I do have a travel hack generally you can actually go to atmosphere and with a booking you can actually spend around 60 to 100 instead of just going to the top for the observatory you can use that as spend credit and get to an equal height although it's not an observatory you pretty much get some of the same views it's definitely something to consider and the high tea although very expensive is definitely a memorable experience I will add I even saw they have coffee in the morning for 25 that might literally mean it's cheaper to go get a coffee than it is to go to the observatory now you're gonna head over to the Museum of the future I experienced it about six months ago and look I'm not that big on museums but there's something very special about this one it's more of a visual trip and experience to see all of the different exhibitions so you might just want to see it for yourself and if you happen to keep busy with this whole area there's actually a fountain show that starts at 6 p.m and it goes every 30 minutes till about 11 pm it's not necessarily worth traveling out of your way for but if you're already in the mall then hey check it out but for those of you that can't see yourself spending all day inside a shopping center no stress what you need to do when you come to Dubai is have a true desert experience a lot of people don't realize this but Dubai is surrounded by incredible Landscapes and right now we're getting all geared up I'll show you where we're going oh what there's no Bluetooth welcome to the desert oh so this is by far one of the best things that you can do in Dubai the best way to experience it is with Platinum Heritage from here we're taking these desert tracks to a Bedouin camp and it's just the best way to get that Arabic experience so this right here is rose water which is the traditional way to clean your hands it smells so good and this right here is where we're having dinner tonight so cool foreign [Music] the food is no joke outstanding and it all comes with a shisha they really make you feel at home and I would say that if there was one area to splurge on this is probably it now Platinum Heritage is the premium way to do it but it's not in everyone's budgets so one of the really unique ways to get around Dubai at a budget is to check out websites like Groupon where you can actually find experiences in the desert for 25 to 50 dollars but like all things in life you generally get what you pay for and just like that day one has given you some City and ended it off with a fiery Arabic Sunset now I hope for your sake you arrive in the right season because if you do the best experience is the hot air balloon they actually fly over these scenes right here on some occasions you'll see giraffes they're not native to Dubai but you know this is the only place in the world where Falcons and balloons are flying together this makes us a very unique experience this right here is a moment of absolute Serenity and peace as you fly over the Shake's private land where they have incredible giraffes and gazelles and beautiful manicure Gardens and lagoons you feel like you're in a different planet even the patterns of the deserts are mesmerizing and this experience is Second To None So guys this is owned by the royal family and you can see it says Dubai right there so are we able to request a different pilot if we're not comfortable with you not really because they have to be clever and handsome and I'm the only one who feeds the feeds the description now with balloon Adventures when you land is actually not when the trip ends from there you head over to an amazing breakfast and then you're done now the next thing I want you to do is to head over to the Dubai gold souk which happens to be right next to the Spy souk you might not be down for large shopping malls but what you'll see from this shopping area is that it's much more traditional and if you're not from the Middle East you'll be pretty blown away by this Market because it has a lot of colors smells and tastes that you've never had before probably seen the colors but now all this is pretty much free but the cool thing is now you have to cross the river and for just 30 cents you get to take this which is known as the Abra and the Abra is the way that of course people like you and me the well-traveled people cross but it's also the way that the locals get from place to place and once you cross the river it's going to bring you to the Dubai old city which is right next to alsif Old Town basically this is like Dubai's time machine where you get to see what the original Dubai looked like from the creamy tones to the old school wind tunnels it's a very cool place to get some photos explore and do a little bit more shopping of Local Foods and garment now if you came here towards the end of the day then this is also an amazing place to catch a beautiful sunset right on the river day three this is going to be a jbr day in other words we're going to be right on the water depending on your budget you can go for a swim on the public beaches or you can start your day off at a beach club I've visited two or three but the two that stood out the most to me so far have been drift as well as the reeksos jbr beach club I think it's a pretty cool spot to get a drink ashisha and hangout now you can easily spend the whole day relaxing but there are some really cool ways to experience the beachfront as well as the massive man-made Palm right in front of it you can take out a motorized paddle board you can take out a yacht a jet ski or as we did just the other day we have our own private little tiny boat here and this is called a hero Odyssey so we've got like a two hour tour we're going to be passing by the seven star hotel the Burj al-arab which is quite literally one of the most famous luxury hotels now this is all a really cool way to experience the Palm but for me the best way is this [Music] driving Dubai is honestly one of the most dramatic places you'll ever have it for six hundred dollars it's not cheap but it's definitely one of those memories I keep with me alive oh I feel so good if you're down to do it it's probably about four hours out of your day but it definitely Blends in well to day three and lastly to end the day off I definitely recommend making your way over to the palm and checking out one of the many beach clubs just be warned that if you go in for a big meal it's gonna cost you hundreds of dollars it's really pricey in some of these places day four now I know this video is called how to travel Dubai but hear me out some of the best things to do in Dubai are to leave it and one of those things is to go down south to Abu Dhabi where you can get an incredible sunrise at the Grand Mosque simply put I think it's the most beautiful building on this planet the architecture will blow your mind and speaking of man-made wonders you need to go see the Louvre Abu Dhabi that too is a much more modern approach but it is just draw dropping jaw dropping it is jaw dropping now about one hour to an hour and a half in the opposite direction will take you to Sharjah and for me this is probably what I would choose over udabi and the reason is because I love the outdoors and to get the best desert experiences this is one of the spots you need to go first of all a sunrise at the buried Village in Sharjah is incredible it's basically like an Arabic Ghost Town these old school buildings have been filled up with sand dunes as a photographer it's like a beautiful film set getting there without a 4x4 vehicle might be a little risky but if you can find a way to make it work you should now 30 minutes away is the thing I'm most proud of in this guide I know I've been able to help you in many ways but if there's one thing I feel I discovered that nobody else knows about in fact my friend that came to Dubai literally thanked me for sharing this with him it was the highlight of his trip it's maleja maleja is a region in Sharjah and it is a Wonder from this massive Cliff jutting out of a desert with tall sand dunes that you just don't find in Dubai so the fact that you can have a stargazing experience for like 25 dollars you can have a guide take you for the ride of your life through the dunes for only fifty dollars for like hour and honestly I'm not a big Museum guy but the museum here at Malaya was actually pretty interesting apparently mankind may have started here I love this trip so far it's combining the action-packed with the history I'm shocked that this is just outside of Dubai now this video is not sponsored these are my own recommendations from years of coming but before we go on to day five I do want to mention that this two-bedroom apartment has your name on it and if you're coming to Dubai you'd like to stay Shane Moi I've taken a very different approach than your average rental property this is not an Airbnb this is a home and it comes equipped with everything from fiber internet dedicated workspaces to take a zoom call or film a video an amazing coffee machine sparkling water a pillow top mattress to maximize sleep a couch setup actually worthy of a movie marathon basically this is my home if you want to get lost here in Dubai experience it like a local with your own home base and if you want to check it out the links down below now for day number five this is an amazing time to fill in all the activities that Dubai has to offer that you haven't quite fit in yet there is a long list of things that I could recommend from beating your best time at the motorway speed track taking a cliche Lambo photo in Instagram's favorite spot or having a big night out in one of Dubai's many clubs and after just one video you are now 10 times more prepared for this trip to Dubai and if I helped you in the slightest please hit that like button and let's get lost again in the next one
