all right in this video we'll explore three secure ways to transfer Google photos to a new device so let's get into it the first method is the quickest if you have a few hundred photos if you have thousands of photos I suggest you use the third solution I have two devices with different accounts select the media you want to transfer by holding the first one and then tapping the others you can select a whole day by tapping this select button now this process may become tedious if you have many photos you can use Google photos on the desktop computer to select photos click the top left corner of a photo scroll down and when you reach the end hold the shift button and click the last photo please note that this only works if you have a few hundred photos if you scroll down hundreds of photos and try to select the app will just select that photo you'll need to scroll through a few hundred photos select them and then scroll through a few hundred more and keep going this is why I prefer the third way if you have thousands of photos anyway when you're ready click this share button here you'll see all the users who have shared media with you swipe left to see this more icon you'll see your contacts here put in the name phone or email of the person you want to share tap that contact you can select multiple accounts if you like tap the next button and this send button to share those photos you'll get a notification on your other account open Google photos and tap this sharing button next to your profile icon here you'll see this notification tap it to see the photos here we go just tap the save button to save those photos and videos to your Google photos account the second method is similar to the first one but it only works on desktop I have two accounts open let's select the media to share with the other account then click the share button from the top click the first icon to copy the share link open this link in a browser logged in with a different account you'll see the shared media click this Cloud icon to save those photos to your account open Google photos to find this media the third method is great if you have thousands of photos like I do open Google photos and tap this sharing button next to your profile icon here you'll find this share with partner option tap it Google photos lets us add one partner account at a time here choose the sharing date I'll leave this to all time as I'll share all the media also you can choose specific people in this option but I'll select all photos click the blow button to continue you'll see your contacts you can search for them from the top I'll choose my other account lastly click the confirm button the other account will get a notification open Google photos and tap the sharing icon you'll see the invitation on the top tap on it to accept it click the accept button next Google photos will ask whether you want to share this account with the other account as well if you want to you can go ahead but if you don't tap this close button and then this exit button this will ensure that only photos from this device are being shared now to see photos of this account open Google photos and tap the sharing button you'll see partner sharing with the email open it to see the photos here we go if something is deleted from here it'll be deleted from there as well to save those photos to your account open your profile by clicking the icon tap photos settings then tap this sharing button click the first partner sharing button here click save to your account and select all photos tap done on the top you'll see your account populating with media I'll turn it off as I don't have enough storage on this account lastly you can remove this partner from both accounts go to partner sharing and tap those three dots click settings down the bottom you'll find remove partner so this was how to transfer Google photos to a new account thanks for watching and take care
