If you are a beginner and do not know how to start, or where to go from your current starting point, this is a good video to watch. An overview of the amount of work and dedication it takes, it also points out the amount of work you put into each skill will affect how good you are at that particular skill, so is it up to you to decide whether you focus on head drawing, figure drawing, landscapes, etc.

His channel also has some awesome workshops you can watch. His Atelier is pricier than I can afford, but just poking around related youtube helped me found some good resources.

This is a fantastic video on realistic expectations and "Incubation" timescale to be a professional artist. Worthwhile to listen to the whole thing.

I just watched the figure painting and Gouache master study previews on his channel today. Man his paintings are awesome. Makes me want to try traditional painting even though I know I would struggle a lot right now.
