hi guys welcome back to my channel so let's jump right in today we're going to be using this image a blank sublimation tumbler some heat safe tape all of which will be linked down below and this is the shrink wrap we'll be using today it was sent to me by subnation usa that's where i got the tumblers from this is their etsy store so if you want to go buy the exact same shrink wrap there it is you guys know that i like to start with rolling my tumbler into my image if you're not familiar with this process please watch my first video where i go in detail on how to accomplish this process and as you can see there are no holes along the seam line which is exactly what we want so right now i'm just going to tape the top and the bottom like so and now i'm going to trim away the excess image i like to do this because i feel that when you fold the image over the lip and the bottom of the tumbler it can cause the paper to crinkle which can increase the chances of you getting those white casts at the edges of your tumbler so i like to trim away as much as possible and get as close as possible but be very careful don't trim away too much and like in the last video i'm going to tape the top and bottom not using nearly as much tape as before and of course you guys know i like to wrap right over left if you're holding the tumbler straight up and looking at it so i wrap my tape right to left but when you turn the tumbler upside down you have to wrap left to right again if you have not seen my first video i'll put it in the cards and in the description bar below be sure to check that out i like to put the tumbler upside down when putting on the shrink wrap because the bottom side is the skinniest side and i slide the wrap over the tumbler i did two off camera i wanted to try it just to see if it even worked i don't want to waste anybody's time so i've kind of come up with a little bit of a system make sure you leave space on the top as well as the bottom and when you start to use your heat gun i got this one from lowe's make sure you start from the side walls or the body of the tumbler and then work your way to the ends it may look a little messy at first but the good shrink wrap the wrinkles will eventually disappear i've tried cheap shrink wraps so i know that this one is better than the other plastic clear ones that i've tried before and this is how it should look when you're complete we're going to pop it in the oven for 6 minutes at 400 degrees if you guys would like to see the oven that i use please let me know so this is one of the ones i made off camera i made it for my dad he's a big don julio fan and there is the seam on this one not absolutely perfect but you know what not bad for my first try and this is the one i made for my stepmom i was very happy with this one because i try to use images where the seam is exactly the same but you can see that there's different patterns and colors on each side of this seam but it lined up perfectly you guys know i like to give you a good old two for one special so i'm gonna work on another one while the first one is sublimating again i put my tumblers in the oven for six minutes at 400 degrees and i rotate them halfway through about a 180 degree rotation and the first tumbler is complete but i want to get the other one popped in so that it can sublimate while i'm doing the takedown on the first one now of course i got excited and i started rushing when i was shrinking this tumbler i got a little too close with the heat gun i got a little overzealous and i paid for it so make sure you're taking your time and don't put the gun too closely to the tumbler or you will end up doing what i just did right there so of course i knew my seam was going to suffer i didn't have a lot of shrink wrap so i decided to keep going with this one in the hopes that it wouldn't come out too badly but i i paid for it so here we are for the takedown it's always so exciting when you can see the ink through the paper that's how you know it's a good sign when you're cutting that tape be careful you don't want to chip away at that poly coating on your tumbler look at this color payoff guys isn't that amazing no white spots no light spots where there's less ink sublimated than the other side i was very happy with how this one turned out and of course like with anything the more you try it the better you will get at it look at this color payoff the seam is not bad again this is my third time trying the shrink wrap and look at the edges look at the color payoff the shine these tumblers are really good and there is a close-up of the seam i know you guys always want to see that it's not perfect but you know what i think it's good enough and here's the reveal on the second tumblr that we did together are you guys ready look at the color payoff it's so exciting to look at look at that and there's the seam of course there wasn't as much pressure on there because i popped the shrink wrap but you know i really can't complain my son absolutely loves this this color payoff is amazing i was very happy with how this came out so i guess the short and skinny of it all is i definitely recommend the shrink wrap you use a lot less tape and i think that you get a lot better even sublimation for the all over sublimation so that's it for this video guys thank you so much for watching i really appreciate the love and support on the last video that i did i will keep these videos coming don't forget to dream big love hard make mistakes and have no regrets and i'll catch you guys in the next video bye
