How To Stake Luna With Terra Station | Terra Luna Staking Guide!

staking your cryptocurrency is a passive method to earn more units of account you will be rewarded for staking in more of that particular asset that you do put up as a stake so in this video i'll be showing you how to stake your terra luna tokens to earn a very decent return of over 11 percent on your luna as well as to earn air drops of new projects that will be launching in the terra ecosystem [Applause] so at this moment in time luna is trading for six dollars per token now the first step to actually going ahead and staking your luna tokens is to get some of the asset you need luna tokens to stake obviously so we can take a look at the available exchanges you can buy luna on and is available on most major exchanges i will show you right now if you do want to buy some how to buy it on cue coin now of course this video isn't financial advice you should do your own research and due diligence before you purchase any asset especially in cryptocurrency however for educational purposes i'll be showing you how to buy it directly from an exchange right now strictly for educational purposes so we can head on over to q coin and if you've never made a q coin account it's very simple you literally just need an email address and you can make your own account so after you do make your account put some money in put some crypto in whether it's bitcoin usdt tether usdc whatever you do like and after you have funded your account what you're gonna do is from the home screen of q coin all you would do is go to trade and then spot trading so now that the exchange interface has loaded we're now going to go to the luna pair for whatever asset you have in this example i will be using the luna usdt tether pair so we would type luna usdt after we click on the bitcoin logo up here it'll bring up the search bar so we click on luna usdt and it's going to take us to the chart and i'm not sure why the chart isn't actually loading for us right now yeah not sure why the chart that the candlestick bars aren't actually loading but regardless all you would actually do if you wanted to buy luna is you would hit go to market over here and you would get luna at the current market price which as you can see is six dollars and one point three cents however much money you do want to buy so you want to buy a hundred dollars worth you would put 100 usdt here you would press buy luna and then you would have the luna in your account now from here what you're going to need to do is send your luna to your own terra station wallet and now keep in mind you will need to use the computer application download version you cannot use the browser extension of tariff station to stake your luna tokens so in order to get this wallet what you're going to need to do is go on to terra.money this is the official website of the terra blockchain and right here on the main page it says download station wallet and for whatever operating system you are using you will have the ability to go ahead and download the terra station wallet whether you're on mac chrome whatever go ahead and download that for your operating system so once you do go ahead and actually download it it's going to be just like every other application on your computer you go ahead and open it up and now from here you will have the prompt to either create a new wallet or to use your ledger hardware wallet now i highly recommend to use your ledger if you're going to be staking large amounts right i wouldn't personally stake large amounts just using my computer you always want to have additional layers of security but for example sake in this video i'm just going to be doing it directly from my computer with this particular wallet that i have open right now so once you do go ahead and have the tara station while it downloaded basically up here in the top is your wallet address so all you would go ahead and do is copy that and then on cue coin you just paste it into the bar over here you select the terra network you hit the amount you want to export or withdraw and you hit confirm and the funds would be sent directly to your tariff station wallet and you're now ready to stake so as we can see over here on the staking rewards website luna is actually one of the best assets out there to be staking and right now after inflation the reward is 11.65 percent and like i did mention you do get rewarded in air drops for new uh terror projects some of the best ones in the past were the anchor token and the mirror protocol tokens that ended up doing very well and these are probably two of the most popular decentralized applications in the terra ecosystem so if you do want to receive air drops in the future for new projects protocols that will be launching in the terra ecosystem then you need to be staked so without further ado let's show you how to go ahead and stake your tokens so in order to stake like i said you cannot do it through the um through the web page unless you do use the ledger you're going to need to use your downloaded terra station application so go ahead and pull that application up and then over here it's very simple literally all you do is go over here to the staking section of the wallet and all you would go ahead and do now is select your um node that you do want to delegate to so as you can see these are a bunch of new ones and then we do have the gold silver and bronze if you're new and you don't want to get confused i would just go ahead and stick with these so we're going to pick solid stake they're paying out there's zero validator commission for this one so we'll hit solid stake right here now we're going to choose the amount of luna we do want to delegate so we hit delegate and we put in the amount of luna we want to put in i'm just going to put 10 luna in right now be sure to leave some luna in your wallet to pay for transaction fees even though fees on the terra network are very inexpensive from here all you're going to do is hit next as you can see it says make sure you leave a small amount like i just said the fee will be paying 0.002863 luna that is a few cents from here we would put in our password for our wallet and hit delegate and now we let it do its magic it'll go ahead and confirm this transaction bam successful we have now delegated 10 luna tokens to the solid stake validator so that is all there
