HOW TO SPRAY DRYWALL knockdown texture DO IT YOURSELF

hey what's happening guys I'm gonna show you in this video how to do drywall knockdown texture how to prep your mud the tools you'll need to do it so that whether you're an amateur or professional you'll get a good job every time check it out things they come with 3 different sized tips small medium and large you can spray you knock down real fine texture or a real heavy texture I would I usually use the big tip but I don't spray too fine I think it looked that look too good and the heavier you spray I don't think looks too good so I think if you keep it in the middle a nice medium texture works great with a air control airflow control valve so that you can turn your pressure up and down with knock down I probably take it down to about 40 it's really not gonna do it right now but to get you a good you don't want it to spray too fast it's gonna spray to fine so you want to bring the pressure down some so that you get a heavier bigger knockdown texture okay so once you spray your texture on you're gonna need a knife to knock it down I recommend the plastic flexible knives so that you don't put too much pressure and flatten it down too much these work really well all right so first what we need to do is super jump down you can use regular or light down we want to soup it up pretty soupy consistency I've already got this one souped up very easily all right a fresh bucket obviously it's going to take a lot more water to soup it up to that alright so now that we got ready to go Mahatma horsemen pretty to make sure you plastic off any trim doorways windows that you don't want to get overspray on so that you ain't got us pretty much time cleaning up stuff you do is I'm going to do a test patch on some plastic so I could see the consistency that I'm getting let's bring a little faster than I wanted to so I'm the slow answer [Music] alright now that I got my presser my airflow just right you just want to keep it consistent [Music] [Music] [Music] now once you spray it you usually want to let it sit for a few minutes start tacking up and then you can knock it down okay like I said before when you got to knock it down it's good to have these classic flimsy knockdown knives because it doesn't put too much pressure on it now you want to go up or down you don't want to go up and down and then go sideways because it's going to change the direction of the knockdown and it's not going to look it's good you just go up when you bleed off leave late that is your drywall knock down now you can spray it heavier or you can spray it finer and it changes it but I think the heavier you go looks in the finer you got the unbeliever looks
