welcome to woggle guides in this guide i'll show you how to quickly sign out of gmail on an android phone let's get straight into it i'm in the gmail android app on my phone the gmail app uses your google account id that is stored on your phone it's the same id used to log into all of the google apps on your device the only way to log out of your gmail account on your phone is to remove the google account let's look at how to do that now to remove an account from the gmail app we need to tab into the google account settings on the top right of the inbox this opens a new panel and you'll see there's an option to manage accounts on this device let's choose that now this opens the account page i'll tap on the google accounts option to remove the google account i need to tap on the three dots icon in the top right to open some additional settings you'll see the option to remove accounts in some phones you may see this remove account option at the bottom of the account settings screen if i choose that option google displays a prompt that asks you to confirm you want to continue with the account removal tap on the remove account link to proceed and you'll see the google account has been removed if i reopen the gmail app you'll see that the logged in local guide email account is now removed and you can now add a new gmail account i hope you find the swaggle guide useful and learn something new if you have please like or subscribe so other users can find it too thanks for watching
