How to Setup Quantower to Trade Futures [Topstep]

you have limited aversion for now but they're going to unlock a lot of things you know when you do pay for that monthly price so if you click here you can just see all the features basically various Brokers the assets uh the connections at the same time a lot of stuff but once we download it once we head to it I want to show you how to get kind of what I have here so as you can see I have one chart one minute time frame one chart five minute time and sales Dom and then indicators account info I have my orders over here and I got it to the way I like it um just from a couple small changes but it took me a while to figure out so I want to save you from that wasted couple hours I took today if you click the top left over here this is everything you can add to your Quant Tower setup to make it customizable you have a lot of things you can put on screeners TPO charts watch lists statistics curves analytics all that stuff I have a pretty simple layout but I'm going to show you how to make one of your own and one that would make sense for you but first things first to get live data it is quite a struggle so if you are on top step if you are trying to get funded they will push that data for you all you need to do is sign in so on the top right of your screen I don't have it here but it's gonna say DX feed and it's going to say TOP Step or rhythmic there's going to say a couple things up there so I'm going to go ahead and log out and if you click you know your DX feed at the top right you'll see every integration possible coinbase crypto.com FX Pro you just want to find the trading platform you're on TD Ameritrade is actually on here um trade Pro but I have TOP Step so all you do is type in your username and your password and that's going to push that data for you so I'll log in it does take a little bit here connects to your account finds the broker and then boom you should be on so now let's go into how to set your layout the way you want it because everything here is together so I have this being minimizable maximizable it's all connected but every piece of this screen I've put on put in a separate Place based on my preference so The Binding is the most important part with this to bind you right click here unbind bind is with that so I'm clicking unbind and now you see I can drag this one box wherever I want I can also add a chart if I want clicking this and then this chart I can connect it anywhere so let's say I want to put in a tiny chart right here like that and then I can lower or make this one even smaller like that so now I have that chart in the spot let's make it X let's make it on Cube Futures again just for ease of use we'll make it um some type of Futures chart and where is it once I have that on it should show the candles should show everything you're going to go back up here and just click create bind and then you're gonna just drag your cursor over everything you want to be one panel and you create the bind down here I do want to delete this because I don't want it so um create bind boom now I have my bind again and then that one is separate because like I showed you I unfin bind it I took it off last second but this thing will stay together so you can have multiple screens you can drag and drop put in the right put on the left and just track the things you most care about so time and sales the dlm's over here the one thing I want to point out is the settings for the Dom seems like most people are interested in this you want to right click here left click click settings and then this is where you customize everything with it so the bid the price the asks the profiles here I kind of like those too you want to make those visible the ones you care about um I have the volume on this one here is going to be buy and sell volume this one's trades so the profiles they're kind of nice to have you can have profit and loss on um most of this stuff I don't have on because I don't really need it but you can also right click this section of all the columns here and you can turn on the ones you want turn on the ones you don't want like imbalance percentage so every single buyer and seller here you can see it's at 60 50 50. it's going fast but this is going to show you the percentage of buys and sales at that current price we're at and you take that off if you want so now let's dive into the actual chart because you can add plenty of cool stuff to the charts including kind of like trading view drawings levels time frames but first things first you do want to connect to that data source the platform you're on for me was top stuff so the NQ U 3 and I'm gonna go for the right there I think no I'm not right here and boom so that would give me my NQ and if you want to add your indicators you just right click the screen overlay you can add an overlay that's going to be another ticker so you're going to click add indicator here's the list of them you can do bar data channels Bollinger Bands so if I click this this is the problem it will tell me I need to buy the license so you can only have you know two indicators on at once but now there's the Bollinger Bands so added that to the screen settings are right here you can change the settings pretty easily I'm going to go back and just add my volume again so right click add indicator go back to portfolio and put that on the bottom and that's kind of what I like RSI and volume pretty simple so indicators right click it's right there drawing tools they're going to be right there as well Fibonacci Gans patterns and then volume this is kind of the more fun section so people are looking for that volume profile so you could do a left profile a right profile time histogram but the right profile will show you your volume Peaks and your your volume profile but if you want to customize it again just right click and settings and you're going to go down here to write profile so you can add the time the amount of time that profile is going to take into account so 30 minutes of price you can add like an hour of price and the color is going to show you the hour the 30 minute the 15 minute of price so what percentage of that makes up the most recent time you can also add like today and yesterday the current week and you'll have a lot more levels so this is very popular a lot of people play off of volume profiles I'm a big fan of them and it's very easy to add it so you can add a lot of other features here just by timing sales time and statistics all that stuff if you want to add any type of drawings you had here and your drawings are all going to be on these buttons so here's going to be a line is going to be uh trend line I believe or an arrow and then here's like a box so you can put supply and demand on your screen and way way more so you can put your favorites on if you want there's a channel and this is going to help you put that put those drawings on that you would normally do with the trading View so most important part is how to trade with this so this is going to be the last part the most valuable part because this is where you'll save more time use the hotkeys correctly and they have a lot of options just on the screen if you click this so this is going to bring up basically your order panel and if you want to trade off the mouse which is what I do you have to click this button you can keep it on all time with the settings but it you don't want to be clicking and adding trades left and right but basically if I click the mouse right click is going to be buy limit left click is going to be sell Stop So based off the click it's going to put in that order it's right there put in the buy order I just got filled so twenty dollars profit zero and then we're gonna put in our sell order boom just like that so sell limit buy limit we have both those options and just with the mouse you can use that and I I like playing off the mouse a lot more than a keyboard but you have to turn on keyboard trading with this button or also won't use the hotkeys and to set your hotkeys you just hit that settings tab in the top right here and you're going to see all your other options for the look of the screen The Sounds it makes the confirmations time zones just your general settings but if you go down to hotkeys down here now this is going to help you trade off the keyboard so I don't like doing that but I like the the mouse a lot better so right here you can see 20 bucks 40 bucks we're looking to hit this cell order up there limit order I can drag this I can right click it modify it I can change it to a market order get out instantly I can add if I want if I did not add this order in let's say I needed to put a profit order in I take this I drag this up there's my profit order I drag this down there's my stop loss so this is going to be my Oco order for that one contract I'm in right now and so at this point either one's going to get hit and then I'll be out of the trade um the you could do all this basically from the right panel um for me it's just preference I do like just going off of the mouse but if I was to go off the right panel you could buy at the ask buy it the bit buy at the market and then you can use all these quicker buttons to reverse flatten break even all that stuff so you can actually change like let's see break even so we're out of the trade now all done you can change your quantity here time and force comments you can do a lot of stuff brackets so brackets are going to be those Oco orders take profit stop loss at the same time you can make your brackets right here stop loss take Profit just have to put in where you want your ticks and everything so if I do 10 ticks up first stop loss and let's do let's do ten and five for a good trade there we'll save that and then we'll buy so here's the trade stop loss five ticks down profit order 10 ticks up so probably gonna get hit boom so we're out of that trade now and let's just close it again you can use all that functionality to get in quicker put on your brackets and they can save you a lot of time you can also do that over here on the right on the Dom Trader by clicking that order panel so that order panel could pop up pretty much anywhere on this and that would be the basics of this and that would be as much as I discovered today and the other things I've done are just changed colors so you just take the right right click go to settings and then you just can go off your where is it your data style change that candle you can change your type of candle quiet Tower data lines all that stuff there's settings for each panel can be changed so you know here's your RSI you can change your RSI by hitting the settings here and change the colors as well that is yeah that's the
