hello guys today I'll be showing a real quick how to make some pics loading game or well I will show you how to set up camp in order to make picture because I can't actually make that good big slob myself meaning I can teach your skill Abdullah possess but I can show you how to stop game so let's get started you wanna start off with creating a new image control M I'm just gonna go by 32 by 32 music and create a new layer for the sake of it now you want to start off by pressing M on your keyboard as in Nicholas you can also right click the print a paintbrush up here and press pencil first thing you're gonna do is you're gonna change the brush to be pixel it's gonna be that square that C it's gonna be the first brush that pops ups you wanna change the size to 1 and the hardness to 100 nice then you wanna press shift E and you're gonna get up your eraser now you wanna change this to be pixel as well on the brush and one on the size you wanna go hardness 100 nice again and then at the bottom by the dynamics you're gonna push in hard edge so hard edge needs to be enabled and what this does is everything that's inside the eraser is gonna be erased if you don't have hard edge enable I can show what happens so when i erase without hard edge the eraser is actually going to it's gonna calculate some things and its gonna tone the colors instead of actually removing them whilst if you have hard edge it's just gonna delete everything that you touch with the eraser so you turn off the anti-aliasing like completely and that's what you want anyway once you've done that you can actually get started with the pics lot but it's gonna be really hard when you don't have any guidelines so we're just gonna go into image and we're gonna press configure grid now here you have the line style foreground background color and the horizontal and vertical spacing you can also say offset but in pick slot you don't we need to set an offset now I recommend the dump - because it's foreground color and background color in a lined pattern meaning that no matter what colors you use you're always gonna see your grid which is good on the spacing you can choose whatever you want now for pick slot you do want to do one by one but I have chosen to do to you by two and the reason for that is because if I am using a 32 by 32 grid and I'm gonna place this in a game yeah I often want to have like tinier details too to give some depth to my sprites but you can't really go deeper than one pixel in pick slot do you understand what I mean so I usually do 32 by 32 but I use a pixel grid of 2 by 2 meaning I have a pixel grid bias of 16 by 16 so my pics notice actually often 16 by 16 pixels when a user looks at it but I do have a 32 by 32 real grid pattern meaning I can do these tiny tiny details of one pixel it's also gonna look really crisp and stuff when you upscale it in in games and such because the pixels aren't that tiny a pixel is actually for real pixels but that's just a technical I'm sorry anyway so once you have this grid you're gonna be able to enable it because it's not gonna be enabled after you configure it so you want to go to view and show grid now it's really annoying to go to view and show grid every time did you want to see the pixel art and disable enable it so in order to set a shortcut for that you go to edit you go to keyboard shortcuts and you search for grid you're gonna see here it's gonna be a thing called show grid now you can bind this to whatever you want I've chosen ctrl W and then your save the reason to why I chose ctrl W is because by default ctrl W is gonna close the image that you're currently on it's not a close game it's just gonna close this image and it's a good function but I never use it so why is it even there so I just use ctrl W it's a really good short command because you never use ctrl W in your day-to-day life anyway so that's that's actually that but if if you want to do some pics look like all the time like every time you open you just assume you wanna you want to have the grid for pixel out you're never gonna use the grid for anything else you are going to get annoyed by a change in the grid every time so if you go into edits and you choose preferences and then default grid here you can actually change the grid on every new project that's your opening so if you're gonna make a lot of pics lot you can change the default grid meaning that you will always have the grid to your configurations like to your likings every time that you open it up so that's basically it I'm sorry for rambling I'm going to upload my next video is gonna be about making a spreadsheet in and how to how to set it up correctly to to avoid any errors when you're making games so stay tuned for that and I'm sorry for rambling I'm just gonna actually and the video here bye
