so you just picked up your first flash and you're not really sure where to start well it's really quite simple first we're going to want to go ahead and mount the flash on the camera and then lock your flash into place next since you are likely a first time flash user watching this video i recommend throwing your camera to aperture priority mode this will make everything automatic besides being able to adjust the aperture once your camera's in aperture priority mode go to your iso settings select auto iso and select your min max values and for your maximum iso value i recommend playing around with your camera to see when the iso starts introducing too much noise for your liking now that's all the setup we have to do for the camera next we're gonna go ahead and turn the flash on on this godox v1 the top left corner button will switch you between manual and ttl ttl means through the lens and basically this is an automatic setting for your flash and it will detect what settings to use by literally looking through the lens and then that's it you're ready to take flash photography and the flash will automatically adjust based on your focal length and aperture thank you for watching and please subscribe for more tips
