How to repair corrupted GoPro video file. Very easy!

hi folks I'm doing this video in hopes that will help some people that had the same issue I did with the GoPro corrupted file I caught a muskie came home and tried to play the video I uploaded it to my computer it would not play uh properties said 575 MB so I knew something was there but it would not play would not open with VLC when I tried to open with Windows Media Player got this message so I'm just gonna show you what I did after watching a lot of YouTube videos that didn't help me I finally found a solution so here's what now if you deleted the video thinking you'd never be able to play it you can go to recovered online and use that program to recover your file and the next step you want to take if you didn't do that and you have the file still upload it to your computer and then take your GoPro and just record for at least 10 seconds a video so what I've done is created a one minute video on my GoPro reinserted the SD card back into my computer now you see that is titled gopr3731 and the corrupt file is gopr2503 so what we're going to do we're going to delete this new MP4 video file leaving the other two files we're gonna delete so we've deleted that video file but left the two files that were associated with it now we're going to go back if I can see my Pointer while recording and we're going to drag this file the corrupted one that would not play into this folder the other two files that were just created when we did the video now once that's in there we're going to rename it to match these two files and then we're gonna put it back in the GoPro and it should repair the video so let's see what happens I'll rename this GOP r 3731 from 2503 and then reinsert the card and then I'll show you what it says on the GoPro when you reinsert the card in it so I've renamed that file gopr 3731 now insert it into the GoPro and show you what happens okay so I've reinserted the SD card with the corrupted video with the new name we're going to start the GoPro and I hope you can read that says file repaired in case you couldn't read it so now we're gonna remove the SD card put it back in the computer and it will play just okay I've reinserted the SD card from the GoPro uh there's the GoPro folder there's our old corrupted file that would not play there's our new file renamed 3731 or a corrupted one renamed so let's see if it works and there we go working fine I hope this helped some of you folks with the same issue if so please like And subscribe see ya
