How to remove black water stains from a wooden worktop

[Music] hi everyone we went away recently and whilst we were away our Kettle leaked onto the wooden worktop and our metal canisters created these dark water rings on the surface in this video I am sharing how I managed to completely remove the dark water rings on the wooden worktop these are the things that you need some oxalic acid gloves to protect your hands an old toothbrush a tablespoon to measure the ingredients an old bowl and some goggles I put 2 tablespoons of oxalic acid in the bowl and then I added 6 tbspoon of warm water and gave it a stir I used the toothbrush to apply the solution I really try to put a lot of the o alic acid on making sure that there was lots of it on the darker areas I left it for about an hour to work on the areas and then I came back and added more oxalic acid and continued to work it into the darker rings with my toothbrush I left it on again for about another half an hour and it really dried in but I could see that it had done a good job I cleaned off a lot of the oxalic acid with warm water but I also just gently worked into the wide area so that it would blend in I cleaned it off with a cloth and this was how it looked finally I used some tongue oil on the surface to seal it this gives a really nice matte appearance um but it just also made sure that everything Blended in well this is the final result I'm really happy you can't see those dark rings at all I hope this video is helpful and that you can restore any watermarks on your own wooden surfaces thanks for watching give me a thumbs up if it helped and see you in my next video bye
