How to Reduce the Size of a PDF in Apple Mac Preview

this is Darius from the rabbit.com and in this video I'm going to show you how you can reduce the size of a PDF in apple preview here I took some pictures and turned it into a PDF like I showed you in the last video and now I have this file here that has a file size of 16 megabytes let's suppose I want to make this smaller because the website or whatever I'm submitting this to requires a smaller size this is how you do that open the file then click file then click export then when you click export you want to come down here to where it says format and quartz filter and you want to click on quartz filter then select reduce file size after you've done that click save and I'm just going to write over my existing file and now let's see how big this file is now so this file has gone from 16 megabytes to 4.7 megabytes and this is how you reduce the file size of a PDF on a Mac if you found this video helpful please click that like button and subscribe to this channel to view more helpful videos in the future also please be sure to visit my website at the rabbit Abit pad.com
