no I haven't changed the format of the show I am going to work with some unusual material today though and that's sort of needed all these things today we're going to be playing with high density polyethylene you know milk jugs HPD what is it it's basically a type of plastic and you can tell that it's HPD II by this number two inside the recycle sign what I'm going to try to do today is process some of these into a blank first things first I need to cut it into strips and see I've already cut up a milk bottle into strips and thicken this so I stole the blender from inside the house is this a good idea probably not and try it anyway well certainly seems a lot simpler the blender does a great job of really pulverizing this which is great because the next step is actually to melt it the smaller the pieces the easier looks alright so here's the contraption I've got for melting it is just a presto grill with a piece of parchment paper turned it up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit we'll see how this works I think the problem is is that it's getting hot on one side but not on the top so maybe maybe the griddle is not the best solution if you were worried about my tables on the last bill you should be freaking out right about now all right not a house it is definitely not these you see it's already starting to cool where's my lid wait for that to cool and honestly I don't think it'll take very long couple minutes ten minutes maybe we'll come back that's pretty cool all right so here it is all completed I cut it in half on the bandsaw reheated it back up and stacked it on top of each other and it melted back into a solid block a pretty decent-sized turnin block I'm not quite sure what I'm going to make with it yet but I'll come up with something that's your first time with me I want to thank you for stopping by I really do appreciate it I also have a second channel that is a sort of a vlog if you're interested in those sort of videos thank you very much for watching please subscribe you
