accidentally deleted media from google photos don't you worry we know how to fix it let's go [Music] hey everybody nice to meet you my name is michael from the recovery team and we are back with more practical data solutions and google photos this is a platform and cloud-based service that so many of us are using and it's inevitable and sometimes happens by mistake we might delete some of our photos or videos so in this episode we're going to learn how to actually recover these files back and we're going to explore the different ways on how to do that on our different devices in the meanwhile if you're new to the channel consider subscribing because very often we make such kind of tutorials over here and you might find them handy many people are asking whether they can get files back in case they delete them from google photos and in short the answer is yes of course in fact if you delete something in google photos it automatically goes into the trash folder and the content there is being kept for a time period of 60 days meaning that during these 60 days you can go inside the trash folder you can select the files that you need back and you can recover them and this is the first and easiest procedure that we're going to explore today and i truly hope you're not going to need anything more than that let's check it out we'll cover first the procedure for android so go to your smartphone and open google photos tap the library option at the bottom of the screen now tap the bin in order to open the recycle bin screen subsequently scroll through the different pictures and select the ones that you need to be recovered finally click the restore button in order to restore the selected images to your default google photos folder this is the procedure for android it works both on smartphones and tablets now let's take a look at the similar procedure but execute it on ios devices if you have an iphone or ipad you most likely have already the google photos app if not go and get it from app store launch the app sign into your google account credentials go to the library and select the bin once you're inside the bin folder press it all the images that you want to recover and click restore that's it all the selected images are gonna be restored in your google photos app however what if you don't have your smartphone or iphone or ipad around well there's a third way to do that it's called your personal computer we start by opening a browser and navigating to photos.google.com if you're not already logged in sign in with your credentials now on the left panel choose trash then click the picture that you want to recover tap restore really simple and easy to execute wasn't it remember you have 60 days that's your trial period for as long as you can bring your data back but what if we deleted these files and realized that after 70 80 100 days well there's a way back actually we can we can show you a few procedures uh none of them would guarantee hundred percent efficiency but i think with the first one you have pretty good chances well there are certain prerequisites first of all the files need to be deleted from your computer and secondly you're gonna need recovery let me show you download any selfie software on your computer or macbook launch the software choose the location from where the pictures were deleted in case the images were deleted from the sd card of your smartphone you can take it out and connect it to the computer as external device click the start button to initiate the scanning process recovery is going to automatically scan the selected location and display all the deleted files on your screen once the scanning process completes simply choose the files that you want to restore click the recover button and you can also tap the preview button to take a look at what you're about to restore i sincerely hope that the midi so far has been helpful and after execution you have your photos back well there is one very desperate last chance of you getting your photos or videos back but let me say that it's a gamble so we cannot guarantee it's gonna work and this is you to pray that google still keep a backup of your old data in order to get to this last method you're gonna have to go through google support so let me show you how to do it go to the official google drive help page and select missing or deleted files on the next screen you can either choose request chat or email support in order to contact the customer support simply talk about your situation and if google finds it's genuine enough and if they figure out that they have the necessary backups they might be able to recover some or all of your images and videos quite easily so now you know that's how we can recover deleted media from google photos and well luckily for us we have plenty of different choices and in case one of them doesn't work we still have a good chance to get the files back if you find this video useful then don't forget to give us a like for any questions comments or ideas feel free to share all of that in the comments below please subscribe to the channel for more practical data solutions
