How to Put on a Horse Blanket

hi I'm Laurie and I'm the manager the bar manager chastain Horse Park and I'm going to do a quick little tutorial on how to put a horse blanket on properly and our model today is our beautiful sweet Dawson and I've got his sheet or blanket here and I will show you how to put it on to tell how which way it goes on the horse a lot of times they will have these little little fuzzy necks sometimes they don't but if you don't have one you can always tell by the by the buckles on the chest which part goes in the front sometimes they are buckles sometimes there are hooks there's different types but there's usually two and you just connect them both not too tight so that when they bend down to graze it's not too snug on their neck okay then the belly straps are always crossed always crisscross so this is the front which will connect to the back I could get it on there there you go and the bat comes up and connects to the front okay that's what it looks like up under the belly and then the leg straps in the back sometimes there will be two leg straps sometimes just a tail strap across the back cuz there are two rings here but in his case he has two leg straps so again this crosses over from front to back and it's hooked back there first cross and hook make sure the hooks do snap closed sometimes they don't they stay open just make sure they so everything's xdesign on the bottom and there's Dawson in his snuggly blanket
