How to play "Cory Wong" Riff - Vulfpeck

[Music] foreign so today what we're going to do is look at the riff from the Wolfpack song Corey Wong [Music] [Music] so it's a really cool little funk guitar riff so it starts off with an F9 chord now it's a slightly weird voicing that we've got here so we're going to first of all put our third finger on string four fret 13 second finger on string three fret 12 First Finger on string T fret 10 and a little finger on string one fret 13. so this starts off the beat so I'm going to play this with an upstroke foreign the next chord voicing by keeping the chord exactly the same by moving my index finger on string two up to fret 11. now this is going to make an F dominant 11th chord so finger three will be on string four fret 13 second thing on string three fret 12. my first finger on string two fret 11 and my little finger on string one fret 13 I'm then going to play it four times yeah so I put together what we've got so far because I've got the cool check the ninth shape that's for the index finger back at fret 10 on string two I move it forward and then play the f11 chord again four more times I then play the F nine chord again with the finger up to play the dominant 11th chord four times so that's going to give me my first three bars which sound like this foreign foreign [Music] move to the last part of the riff now what I'm going to do is bring my index finger on string four fret 12 and I'm going to Bar Cross strings three two one at the 12th fret and put my second finger on the third string fret 13 this is going to make it like an E7 shape I'm going to play with a down stroke move it up so the end part will go so now put it all together and what we have very slow is F9 f11 11 full times [Music] F9 four times L f11 Slide the E7 and move up to F so 7 13. now to speed [Music] foreign [Music]
