Hello guys, welcome to the channel, and today,
we will do part 2 of how to make beautiful terrain with Unity. So in this episode, I will show you how to
paint texture and add trees and grass to your terrain. Let’s get started. Now, I will show you how to add textures to
your terrain. Firstly, you need to go to cc0texture dot
com, click on the texture that you think fits your game the most. So for example, I want my game to have a mountain
so I will find a rock texture with a snow texture for the top of the mountain. Here I find
the 2 textures that I needed and downloaded and what you gonna do is to extract the zip
file and then for the simplicity of this video,
I will choose this png file so let’s drag it into Unity. Here I have my terrain so what you gonna do
is to select the terrain, go to the brush tools, and change from Raise or Lower Terrain
to Paint Textures. After that, you will get a section called
Terrain Layers. Next, click Edit Layer and select Create Layer
and now you need to find your textures and after you select, that textures will be your
first layer so you will see that it fill your entire terrain. Now, I will quickly make a mountain right
here. I want
a bit of snow on the top of the mountain so I will create another layer, select my snow
textures and then select it, and finally, if you left-click on the terrain, It will
apply that texture onto the terrain. Secondly, I will show you guys how to add
flowers and grass to our terrains. Now, you need to go to the assets store and
search for the free package called Grass Flowers Pack and import it into Unity and after that,
you will see that there’s a folder called Grass Flowers. Next, you select your terrain, go to the Paint
details section and click edit Details and select create Grass Textures, then you simply
go to the folder that contains the textures and drag it in the Detail texture part and
hit “Add” and now if you drag your brush
you will see that there’s a grass texture. This pack also has flowers texture and you
