[Music] hi I'm coming and welcome to how to paint watercolors so if you're ready we'll get started I'll paint this one hello and welcome back to how to paint watts cause with me Colleen and I'm just gonna say a big hello to any new subscribers we may have a big thank you to all the subscribers who stuck with me over the years I've chosen a little barn scene here I just made this one up we're just going to kick off with some nickel yellow some Indian yellow some raw sienna some supervision crimson it mixes with Indian yellow just a mustard becomes a love like groans color cobalt blue fairy tale and then cobalt blue and alizarin crimson just streak it across part of the nickel yellow I'm just using it up and it's in a barn I think I'll just throw some Naples yellow in as well burnt umber I said a puff and a mixed up I've got the greens here these are Indian yellow and French ultramarine and there's just varying in shades of green as you can see you'll see me use these throughout the picture went from lights to really dark stroke the really light one in sort of yellow green take the middle one stab some of that in as well get darker on the front never wants to leave all that's dry I'll kill you okay I've got the painting down with some bulldog clips as a papers drain just to make sure it stays stretched and doesn't crinkle and ivory wet the background mountains I don't think you need to see me do that there's nothing highly-skilled in it and with a bluey gray from cobalt blue and burnt sienna and I want this to be relatively pale just follow the outline of your mountains [Music] if we do it thinning off the under wash of yellow will show through to water at the bottom the brush encourages our looking [Music] and also in sit-up I just want to walk a little bit of a Crimson from the sky just that's interest to your mountains couple of shades of green mixed up here which is made from cobalt blue and cadmium a yellow what a deep I just want to see whoever again I'm just wanna stroke some of this up into the hills and I've just put a bit of burnt sienna with it just to give it an earthy I'd like to call a noisy background color and a little stronger one this just has more cobalt blue in it but it has a touch of the burnt umber in it used to or a it off time touching that that's it that's all I wants to do without soften it in so we soften the bottom off soften it around the barn taking some paints out as well okay now wants to leave that to dry I'm just gonna put some background trees in now that this is if dry and I've broke norton my goat hair mop brush and I won't back into the soft gray that were used for the mountains just a quick note if you enjoy these videos please click the like button and subscribe and should you have any comments please feel free to cut them at the bottom of the video think about the shape and form of you tree when you do this I'm gonna take my rigger brush back into the gray again and I'm just going to pull some branches and tree trunks and things a little bit more around here I think [Music] sort of the gray green yellows made from the cobalt blue burnt umber all burnt sienna you could help to it took some of the darker color and I think I'll just add just some light green I'm just reversing the whole of the barn area and I just want to drop some colors into this and I want to drop some more bit heavier with the Naples yellow raw Sienna such as uber numbers grave to sky in company shadow under these just drop some of the sky calls in as well it's always nice to do that just some of the I was in crimson just up there and that's a flavor a different quality always looked nice and I'm just gonna take some Indian yellow I'm just on one side of these bushes that's just nuts or some of the gray green from the background Hills some of the yellow green just spreading it in the pots here just so I don't pick up too much color [Music] and then allowing that to dry just mixing some of the darker green from the Indian yellow and prince ultramarine with burnt umber or if you um got burnt umber just done burnt sienna another court head mop brush picking up some of the things and I just want to bring out the darker areas within these bushes bushes bushes [Music] [Music] just soften on taking some of the really dark green once again and coming up to these evergreens here we'll put these in and I'm taking them into the sky and through the mountains to hook all the painting together just bring in the top cell with my bigger brush moving to my goat hair mop brush cause it's faster she come further down on a tree [Music] [Music] French ultramarine and burnt umber just dropped into it just to forgive some really nice dog coming back to these trees here I'm just checking some of the gray green just make it all like he's passing through these bushes [Music] dropping some yellow green and just for some lovely variation once again some of the green color itself insult marine Indian yellow [Music] [Music] just darkman a little further to get some nice dark fog leads under here especially towards the center of the tree maybe getting some into the bushes as well just something that in and then want to let that dry just mixing some burnt sienna with some raw Sienna making it very pale and I just wants to bring some across the roof just as we start to redefine the barn just checking them in the right area it's just a wash in it just allows the under wash to show through as well dropping a darker mix of thoughts into the top here where the shadow would start to form just allow it to drift slightly stronger version sweet comes to the fronts of the barn [Music] that's what's really going on so in the bottom also gained you but if cobalt blue mix with somebody or the colors just pull the crusty not for a rickety barn door in maybe a window here creating a deeper shadow on the left-hand side is he go further into the barn same on the window just picking up some of the Blues that are left over : we learned that on there some shuttle one of these [Music] and I just want to drop some of the yellow green as well maybe there's a little bit of moss on these planks most round here as well [Music] we wet the whole of the foreground area I've got the border an angle for this for hey I'm going to lie it flat before we start to add the paint okay the board's now been laying flat let's begin with some yellow-green I think some of the really dark green look a bit more of that so I'm just gonna darken that I've just studied some burnt umber and France all Serene's to that mix just to stick it down nice rich greens and I just let her settle a minutes softening off our softening outs stopping any colors into the barn just to attach the barns of the ground just soften the cause up you're gonna lift him a little color out just to allow the green to show through just a bit of French ultramarine and burnt umber just pulling this into the grass I'll I'll stall dropping in some Naples Iran before it dries out let's put some one or two rocks pebbles into the path okay I'm not even anymore that now I'm just going to leave that to draw out I think we can finish this painting off now I'm leaving the foreground relatively simple just because I think there's enough in it with the barn and the bushes without making it too overly full busy but we can put some quiet in for some planks at ward just a little shadow there where the door pause might be I'll leave a link in the description box to some of the videos of May for YouTube should you wish to view them I'll take you straight there to him and now you get round to the really good bits this is where I get to sign mounting frame it I hope you've enjoyed this video if you have please click the like button and
