welcome to the second part of this uh lolium flooring installation right so and the uh first part I went over some of the important Concepts that we need to understand when you want to do this thing like preparing the soft floor preparing the areas that you're going to work with and understand how you want to cut and how you want to do this thing the right way I suggest you to go ahead and take a look at the video it's going to be in a little segment over here but uh let's continue with the second state our project right now we are relaxed because we finally clean up all the new edges we have all the cuts nice and straight we know that it's going to be as nice and flat because it was kind of stretching through different days we have little areas here and there to maybe add a little section especially in the closets and stuff like that but overall everything is ready now some of these floors do not require any type of glue any type of adhesives they claim to be use something that kind of stick on the floor and that can be true but sometimes in some occasions where you have little ones so you moving things around I learned that you may be able to drag a little bit of linolium right and you don't want to do that stuff so for that just to prevent I'm going to go ahead and use this type of glue obviously where you have seams you need to in those seams you have to uh put some glue but in this case I'm going to use this multi-purpose uh floor adhesive to go ahead and put around the perimeter um what the perimeter around these areas over here before I put the shoe molding right what I'm going to use is this 8 of an inch triangular trout over here right it's really practical it has some sort of like angle over here so it will allow you to work really well and what we're going to do is we're going to just lift the lolium up a little bit spread it and then put it back down that's pretty much what we're going to do and obviously I'm going to show you in a moment how we're going to do this part it's practical it's easy keep some things to clean up with if you want to have like a little piece of uh maybe like a um plastic bag where you can sit this down you know you you don't want to uh mess around with your flooring right so that's what we're going to do now now in this stage now you have to worry about something else I'm going to leave it for the other video but here you have a nice SC obviously we're not following this line over here because it was shifted we are right at 12 ft so we we want to make sure that we Preserve as much floring as possible so in this case we just moved a little bit but you shouldn't be worried about the stuff we're going to have a door over here that's what we finished once you close the door you're not going to see the difference and beside that we're going to put a little trim over here a little threshold right it's nice and flat in this case the one that we got is um aluminum maybe you can paint it maybe you can find something that is close to the color that you have right anyway we're going to go ahead and put glue on both sides we want to make sure that it's nice and stuck together and after that um we want to go ahead and put our C round right this is the C round that we're using I'm going to show you in the other video how to cut it make sure that you protect your eyes and everything when you're doing the stuff and that's it so I'm going to show you how we're going to apply this material on the surface now at this point in this uh second part of the project on this second video uh we understand you know how we need to measure our lolium how we need to place it on the surface that we want to cover and we want to make sure that um the loline itself is not touching the baseboard uh too much you know in fact you want to leave about an eighth of an inch from the wall so it will it will um kind of lay down completely flat that's one important thing to remember now the other thing that you don't want to tear usually know leing apart by um kind of pulling it too hard especially around the frames where you have all the small little cuts that kind of follow the Contour of your moldings that's because when it's there is fairly easy to tear it if you um you pull it too hard right so we want to go ahead and apply with this eighth of an inch or 16 of an inch drout some of the glue on the perimeter so again like we said before we um we cover all those areas well and it will help us to maintain the lolon on Place uh I've seen sometimes that you know lolon just moves and and is annoying so with this you don't have to go crazy and apply glue to entire thing and but also is going to give you um a nice uh Support over there and it will keep the the lenol in place now um obviously in between those seams because you're putting glue um a little excess of uh glue is going to come out so some people may may use um a um you know something just to kind of tap that down um to kind of pull as much glue as possible in in my case I like to just kind of use my hand and just go over it and both sides and just kind of pull out whatever excess glue I have and clean it with uh a warm uh water warm soy water right so you can use your sponges or you can use a rag and that rag or a sponge can be used throughout the entire project the good thing about is that once you rinse it inside your container you can keep on going and cleaning cleaning you don't want to have that you don't want to let the the glue dry there cuz it's going to get hard to remove and you have to do it mechanically meaning that you need to use some sort of chemical to be able to remove it or you know now you will enter into another issue there that you don't want to touch so it's good to move around like that now uh the other part in this video is to show you this different because the important thing is to show different situation in this one we want to follow the the lines inside the bedroom so it doesn't look kind of weird but uh our uh roll is is is um in another Direction so we want to go ahead and open it up and um kind of unroll this thing and make sure that we roll it in a weight that is easy for us to kind of lay it down so that's what we're doing we we're going to go ahead and pull it and we're going to stretch it and fold it in a different way so um you have access to to the the line itself you're able to maneuver your roll really well and you can place it in the area properly so so now uh obviously remembering that we need to make sure that we leave a little excess so it can overlap right right at the middle of the of the frame in this case you know where the door stops so you want to make sure that it kind of goes over and you can make that proper cut and allow the seam to look really really nice the transition look as as clean as possible so um you you also have a a a transition that is about 2 in wide so it's very forgiven but in this case you know the more practical you are the more precise the better because you don't you're going to have chance to to uh show some of the uh areas without any type of um lenol right so now we are following the uh in a practical way we're following the kind of wood plank uh lines to be able to to make the cut that we need here and obviously leaving an access again to overlap towards that the dining room area so by using um the help of somebody you want to make sure that you cut that section and um you proceed by you know um tucking the the lolium well against the baseboard and making sure that you cut the proper part so this is I don't want to make it so long I'm going to leave it for the third video but I think Um this can shows you another pattern that you need to follow um and you know let's continue with the third video I'm excited we we're almost done and I invite you to see the next one if you made it all the way to the end of this video now you're seeing this clip it's because I deserve this little handle like
