How to make Voice Activated Emissions (VRChat Tutorial)

hey guys and welcome back to another one of my videos so a viewer of Mine by the name of Wonder woodlad suggested that I should do uh how to activate your emission masks whenever you speak uh this is relatively easy to do so today I'm going to be showing you how to do that so first we're going to do is you want to head over to your animator you're going to create a layer and we're going to call it voice submission and make sure that the make sure that you click on the Little Wheel next to it and make sure that the weight is set to 1. go into the parameters and we're going to create a float and then just name it a voice instead of voice submission it just needs to be voiced with capital V go back onto your layers and now on this little window here you want to create empty and you're going to also call it voice emission after that is done click on it and now when you see motion time make sure that the parameter is checked and the little window next to it make sure that it's set to voice go back onto your scene and now create an animation so you want to right click and then just create an animation and we're going to call it voice emission go back into your animator and I'll click on the orange click on The Orange Box and then just basically put the voice emission into the motion head back to your scene and now you want to find the material that you would like to animate in my case I just made a duplicate of my textures that I'm going to just use as a test and what you want to do here is where you see emission strength right click next to it and you want to make sure that you select animated when locked you should see a little a next to it and then you should be ready to go this is basically going to lock the animation so now we're going to create the actual animation so you want to click on your avatar and now in this little window here make sure go ahead and find the voice emission it should be at the bottom select that Place the little record button click on your Bot now when I click on your body and go ahead and find that material that you want to animate scroll down and now here what you want to do is you just want to drag the emission strength to the Max and then back and then make sure and then in your animation tab move the little uh move the little line around five to ten seconds it doesn't really matter and now here you want to drag it to the right uh however much brighter you want it to be so don't go too bright uh usually these can be extremely bright if you go to 20 it can it can be a lot of bright um so just keep it under five I would say and that is pretty much your animation in theory it should work um this can work on your on multiple emissions that you have so you can have more materials like this and they'll work but if you're just like uh if you're using it as a protogen or something then uh your advisor can just move as you talk with your voice hope that this tutorial helped uh let me know what more tutorials you would like to see and I shall see you around bye
