hi guys and welcome back to my channel today I make sure we think eyes have to make me a noodle in case you guys not like I will make this delicious recipe just stay tuned and I'll show you how I guess so let's get started with our ingredients so for this recipe we're going to need 5 pounds of honeycomb 110 ounces of hominy 1/2 a cup of apple cider vinegar 20 new mexico red chili pots for chili pasta 5 chile de árbol 2 bay leaves 2 tablespoons of oregano 1 lime 7 garlic cloves and 1 white onion so these are ingredients now let's get started are you guys afraid we're going to start by cutting our honeycomb so we're going to cut them into small cubes about one-inch you don't want to come too small because they do shrink once they cook so that's fine like that a knight by - Akane don't like the feet so I don't put it in my manual you know so when we can wash our honeycomb we're going to start prepping name so we can cook it I'm going to get a big pot in this one it's a 12 quart and I'm going to add my honeycomb and I'm going to fill out my pot halfway with water okay so once we have that we're going to add our onion 5 garlic cloves our two bay leaves our oregano salt and salt is gonna be to your liking you're gonna be able to you know test it or try it as we go and I'm going to add our lime the lime is going to help also with the smell and now we're just going to put in a medium high heat and let that cook for about an hour and a half after the hour and a half I'll be back and I'll show you guys what to do next all right so it's been an hour and a half so now we're going to rinse our hominy [Music] so once we have rinsed our hominy we're going to take out one cup and we're going to reserve it for our chili so now we can add our hominy with our meat all right so this is what our honeycomb looks like so now we're just going to remove our onion in the garlic's click our lip clothes there's one along with the lime so your garlic should be floating like you don't have top of our looks I already dropped them again so I'm missing one garlic and then take out the bay leaves as well or you could leave them in there but if somebody bites into the garlic they're not gonna be happy campers let me tell you there's the Bailey's in the beliefs like they kind of stuck they get stuck on the edge of our pot so that's how we got we already got everything out so now we can add or honey and I've you're into the Manuel Blanco you can you know leave it up to you just cook it for another 30 minutes and there you go this is basically your menudo Blanco you know you just serve it with lime and onion and all that good stuff but let's continue with our red chili alright so for a Chili's we're going to dip pop them and then we're going to rinse them and bring them to a boil [Music] [Applause] so now we're just going to rinse them we're going to fill up our pod with the water all right so now we're just going to bring them to a boil and let them boil for about eight to ten minutes or until a Chili's have become stopped all right so after ten minutes our Chili's already done so now let's get into the blending all right so I'm going to add my chili my sous garlic cloves and my one cup of honey and two and a half cups of water into our blender we're just going to blend it for about five minutes or until we have a very smooth sauce alright so once our sauce is done we're going to strain it into our pot so we're just going to throw it in our pot and I'm going to add one cup of water into my blender so we can get all of our we definitely don't want this okay alright so once we have remove most of the stuff out of our strainer we should be good now we're going to mix it and try out for salt perfect so now I'm just going to add my chili de arbol sorry ty this is option if you don't want your minnow to be spicy you can you know if you just own a Tom the chile de árbol but this one adds a little bit more of that kick so I like to add it now we're just going to let it simmer for about 20 minutes and then after that this is basically it for our menudo all right so our menudo is finally done and it is ready to be served alright so this is what the Manila looks like and I have it some cilantro and onion and I'm just going to add some lemon juice I love lemon juice with minimal got a couple seeking me all righty guys and now for the best part these are nice happy ready yeah got my brand here I like to eat my menudo with um butter and bread ready the best oh and this is super delicious you guys it's perfect you know for the colder
