I feel nervous making my first curtain Riario [Music] so if you guys follow me on Instagram you know that I love love love and I've sort of taken matters into my own hands especially during quarantine to make my only flaw because the flaw in my neighborhood is kind of lack I've been practicing a little bit recipes here and there and I finally I feel like I'm in a place where I can share this recipe a lot of friends have been requesting this video so I just put it out because I feel like the standards are fairly high today I'm going to show you guys how to make my thirty to forty minute clo'es with me this is the cheap version that no one's got time to make a tube a broth I mean come these are astounding recycle mean I hear the spices this is star nice you have some cloves and cinnamon sticks we've got fish sauce lime onion pepper bean sprouts follow noodles green onion cilantro and basil you're also going to need some ginger as well as meat thinly sliced me I'm actually using revive but people generally use brisket to really use whatever you want if you can't find any sliced meat I would just freeze it a little bit not all the way so that it's just hard enough for you gonna slice easily and then I have some beef balls leftover beef balls from each mark you can find these at the shabu section they always have like a fish ball section at each marks the first thing that you want to prep this line it cinnamon stick I was going to carry on to give you an up close fitting and then like seven cloves yeah seven cloves [Music] no just a little more the clothes are actually really strong in flavor so you don't want to overdo it and then the star and these people say anise by Sandy's I'm going to do two whole stars and we're just going to toast all this forgot sixties at these spices are nice and toasted and chillin on the pan back there but now we're going to prep the rest of the broth for the broth we're going to use about 6 cups of water so I'm actually going to measure it out for you guys this is gonna be enough for about two servings so adjust your proportions according and to the broth we want to add about this much sooner you can leave the skin on it's fine because we're going to end up draining it and just slice it [Music] pieces and then the onion use about half an onion and just quarter this and this is going to go right across with the other half of the I mean you just want to slice it paper-thin so that it kind of just melts right into the broth when you add it on the top later [Music] all right this is the key to giving it that flavor and I know it's 'seeing but that's how you get five and thirty minutes versus two days this is beef bullion then you got to use this one I've tried meat stock these cubes and it's just not the same you're gonna take about a tablespoon this way then we're gonna add now three tablespoons of fish sauce [Music] I've here some salt just take generous pinch and we can always add more later if we need it I'm just gonna have all the spaces that we toasted earlier into directly into the pot I also have some in the brown sugar here so I'm just going to take that in because we have a lot of salty flavors in here we want to balance it out a little bit I'm just going to bring that to this medium low so we're gonna have the broth sit for about 30 minutes what time's it plugs up what time is it it's not on the 6:00 a.m. okay so I the resolution from timer to check back on our broth but in the meantime we're gonna prepare all of our toppings so I've already washed these this is a jalapeno just dude however much you need if you don't they feel so bad for people who hate some water because it's like the best thing in the world and just rough chop this now basil basil is also a must-have I'm just gonna take one right here [Music] you really only need a couple of leaves so I'm just gonna forget our bean sprouts I always love adding bean sprouts to my book it's kind of like [Music] ex-prince [Music] that's what I'm gonna meet here already prep so I'll just play this on end and we've got some beef balls that I'm going to add to the broth so I could cook it a little bit last but not least we have her in line I'm just going to cut off a ledge at the end avoid the core if you couldn't this way it's much easier to squeeze then here's the play of toppings I'm just checking up on my broth now seeing that it needs a bit more sugar or salt etc [Music] I'm actually gonna remove a few cloves because I feel like the spices are getting a little bit dense so I don't make it too dense so far so good it's 935 now so we're gonna wait until about ten o'clock to do our final check up on the broth and I think like then it'll be perfect and good to go so well we were prepping all that I'm tied up my rights to go sit in a pot of water because you want to remove the excess starchiness from the noodles because otherwise it'll make it rough a little bit foggy and Hobbie and you don't want that but I'm going to drink this they're really soft now and I'm going to bring this water turmoil so that we can cook our noodles so our water is finally boiling I'm gonna go ahead and add our noodles this is only gonna take like a minute to cook not even [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so our broth is pretty much ready it is 9:53 so or orally but it's okay cuz I think the broth is looking so good now nice and clean so everything is ready to go I brought this will be good at it so we are gonna go ahead and plate everything [Music] this looks super freakin amazing [Music] ready for the news or journalist mice irrational poison sauce but I always mix it so that I make sure I got a whole every bite start off with some news you always got to taste your broth first [Music] [Music] [Music]
