you are now watching a Lucky Penny shop product feature hey it's a Lucky Penny shop excited to make some glow-in-the-dark Orbeez well I hope they glow in the dark I have never done it before I'm sure it has been done before but I'm going to do it my own way using tonic water and then I have six colors of Orbeez for a special set which I'm going to do in the near future once these are made actually so I want to kind of document this and then keep checking in as they grow so I have orange red yellow purple like a teal and a green so let me just get them in that's that's fun to watch as it is just kind of getting them in there to keep them from bouncing all over all right there is the orange and then I don't have any scientific method here I just kind of fill it up I know when I make my regular bees I do put a little bit of pinch of salt they recommend to kind of preserve them keep them from having issues if there's any depending on the water you're using so I'll probably just pour it I'll get a veteran cup and I'll do the same and each one so I can be as accurate as possible I'll just keep checking in maybe with my backlight to see exactly how they change and grow and lo hopefully hopefully all these colors will glow for us if not then uh maybe I'll put some light on different lights now I'm not going to do time lapse here because it could take overnight but I will check back often very often set the tray right here that's why I'm doing it on this nice tray I just got this big tray see that's a big tray and then I can just set the tray there and make a video maybe happy hour to come back and just we'll see them grow all the time like that okay last one all right let me get my measuring cup all right so let's just say well let's see how they how it fits in with one cup it's okay I have paper towel handy I just got a little bit on my table top all to the next one in front of you so you can watch it as it explodes all right here we go okay so that's about a cup I'll start way down here and see if this bowl holds a cup nicely yes that should be good plenty hopefully I can get three cups out of each bottle and one in the background a little bit bigger shape differently it's cool how they float around I've got dancing Orbeez look at that keep going here the purple one is really neat see just by doing that I figured out something cool okay I will have to open up the other one for one cup so look at that alright you want to see it explode on me here I will show you there's no easy way let me see hold on a second I didn't want to move my tray but here you go okay that's how you make a mess I will light that all up of course okay last one let me bring this back in here it's always you know takes a little time to get the camera where you wanted it here we go last one I have my little sister I have a pair of scissors here that I use to open I want to kind of mix them all around the purple one is dancing like crazy alright now I'm gonna set the camera just on the purple so you can watch that one I'll let that go for about 10 seconds so you can watch when we mix them up again it's the fizz that's bringing them up and down see that alright don't mind me if you hear noises just because I'm wiping up and then I'm going to show you all of them again top down so you can kind of see the whole batch isn't it cool to watch now I could turn my black lights on I have them handy here but let me just set this here you can kind of watch that for about 10 seconds here we go bring these in bring this down and then I will get this just right O'Kelly that gopher just a little bit I think it's interesting to watch don't mind me all right so I'm hoping the or B start soaking up the tonic water so I'll check in light and in the black lights over the course of the next 24 hours and we'll see how they change if they change and we'll see how it goes so I'll be back alright I am checking in I just want to let you know that I did switch to time-lapse so that's why it is set up like this in the black lights and I'll reach in but it might be part of the time-lapse so you might see my hand just to kind of show you how these are turning out so not not ready yet but they are getting bigger it's been about probably two hours since I first put them in the bowls so I will check back with this camera and then I will also keep the time-lapse can we're going at the same time all right I am back so you got to see one check-in that was about two maybe three hours after I first started them you got to see a time lapse for probably six hours and then I had to make an adjustment and I couldn't set it back up so here we are now about 24 hours less than 24 hours from when I first started them I'm going to say without a doubt they are glowing let me lift up a bowl here so I need to get them out of the water so I'm gonna do that next tonic water that is so let's try to do this with some kind of system here now of course need a backlight to actually get them to glow here are the green ones okay so there's just the Orbeez now so now you can see they're like glowing crystals alright let's get this one out of the way here is there's a couple strays and then here are the blue ones do they glow I would say yes they are global looks like you get some variation in the glow but for the most part you're getting a good glow okay I believe these are the orange ones now here's where it gets a little some glow and some don't and I wouldn't stray blue one again let's see see the difference there now okay and now here's the yellow ones now these should glow good but it looks like there's some variation there as well look at that I'm gonna play with these in just a second now remember I need these for another video so it's kind of prepping for that video and thought this would be a good time to do this experiment so I'll keep some of these you'll see them again these came out the worst the purple look at that they're still nice but there's such a variance between some that are really colorful and some that are not in regards to glowing okay last one this is that teal is green okay you're all probably saying well how do we know compared to regular Orbeez well I'm going to show you let me set these all back here liquids out of the way you'll get an idea now what's blowing the best okay no particular order by the way you could see now the difference the yellow ones came out really nice this is the green I believe the blue this is that orange and then back here is also the purple and this is the teal ish one alright let me get some Orbeez that have not been put in tonic water I'll have to get those and come back and I'll compare maybe the yellow ones alright here we go so here are the three day old regular Orbeez in water and then here is the tonic water one so I would say you get a nice clog notice my fingers look really funny in this but we'll have to just ignore that and then here is a teal counterpart so here is a glowing Orbeez here's the regular ones they're the same color just one in water and one in tonic water pretty cool now I do want to do a little bit of play with these now here's my situation these I'm getting ready for a video and these I'm getting ready for a video so I can't just dump them all in and have some playtime but I can't do some so I was going to bring in a dark plate and then just throw some Orbeez around and see how they look is they interacted as they glow so let me do that next all right here we go unfortunately I cannot use them all so I will take just a little bit of each so I can kind of get an idea what's gonna happen let me put some of these blue ones in and some of my orange ones and some of the yellows and then I'll move those bowls out of the way cuz they're soaked it up a lot of light then we'll just focus on this all right there some of each of the colors let me move them out of the way so you'll be seeing two new Orbeez videos real soon because my Orbeez are already now now the reason I did the glow-in-the-dark is I wanted to experiment with a set with glow-in-the-dark and see how that worked so this is the test of my glowing Orbeez and I would say that is a success now that is pretty cool let me come back just a little and just move them around my hands so you get a nice glow on these now I'll be careful holding this up as I get closer look to that glowing light let's see if I can zoom real close now you know I've got a really cool black bowl too I can use that it'll kind of keep them and I can swirl them around more you know as these videos progress I think of things and and then I get a lot of wonderful ideas in the comments after so I might revisit these glowing Orbeez we'll see and just make a whole bunch now let me get that other bowl I'll be back all right here is the transfer from plate to big bowl that was cool see that's the kind of look I'm going for so I'm gonna do this I am going to grab one more thing I know it's crazy I keep stopping but look at how it looks on the edge to the edge of the bowl I want to pour from one to another I think that's the cool look I'm going for so let me go grab something else and then we'll continue to play okay I promise you I will try not to keep stopping but I want to be able to get them into something else like this the issue is that these just bounced everywhere I lost one stay with me my friend I will find you I saved you and they're just a squishy is regular or B so here's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna go regular B's with water that is alright let's look at it this way so you can get a nice cool look here to my camera there you go alright watch that's cool now I want to do it so we're just looking at the camera straight inside this might take a little bit of setup here so let's go up and straight down like this all right let's see camera might have a hard yes cameras having a hard time hold on here we go whoa stay in focus there no needs war you back up just a little okay here we go doesn't it kind of remind you of like little bouncing I don't know like they show those little bacteria flying around or something flying around attacking cells so I've lost a few so hopefully I can salvage those here we go they'll be easy to find because they're glowing ah that's what I was looking for that one worked good they're definitely fun to play with all right I think that's it I think my experiment is done I've done what I needed to do and I will show these Orbeez in another video on an or B set here's the last time and I'll say thanks for watching I know it's kind of goes in different directions but still cool home again so I have more links in the description there of other Orbeez videos that always you can go to Lucky Penny shop comm and check them out there I completely forgot as I was cleaning up to show you what they look like in regular light without having the blacklight on so I would say they're pretty close now it looks greener in here or darker here I think it's just because they are smaller they haven't fully grown yet so when you do this you kind of get that color that inner color when you push them closer together so overall I would say then regular light it's hard to tell or you can't tell tell it all which has the tonic water in it besides these being bigger of course because this is about three days this is about one day so that's all just wanted to add that to the video and thanks again for watching later if you're looking for the item you just saw in the video click here watch more videos by clicking
