hi everybody everybody I'm back and today today Gina young is going to show you all how to make fried ribs yes I said it I'm making fried ribs tonight in a Young's house and I'm so excited to be able to share this recipe with you all so the first thing that you're going to need is you're gonna need some baby back ribs I honestly I don't suggest using Saint Louis ribs okay this one the baby back is just perfect to use so you all didn't know me you know I like to use lemon if you don't have lemon use line if you don't have lemon or lime use vinegar you can use apple cider or white vinegar to clean your ribs okay and we're going to use a little bit of salt in cold water to wash the ribs so you can see that I've started to cut the ribs but I left this part here so I can show you just how it should be cut so you can see I have a bone here I have a bone there a bone here and one there what you want to do is between you want to cut right along excuse me right along that bone that second bone and just go down until you cut through okay if you want it to make yours bigger absolutely you can you can do every other bone like here's a bone and here's a bone you can just slice right there if you want it to but I want to do every one bone that'll be just fine for me now I've taken the skiffs silver skin off of the back of the baby back ribs if you all don't know what silver skin is check out my video for how to make ribs and I show you how to take it off and I show you exactly what it is but I've already taken that off of this one okay so then I'll keep that one just like that you what we need to do let's go ahead and we want to get I've cleaned my sink out make sure that you clean your sink out impeccably clean before you put any of your meats down into your sink okay so then what we're going to do we're going to give these a nice wash and we're gonna use our lemon we're gonna use apple cider vinegar as well as salt and cold water okay let me show you how to do this right here is very very very simple you hear me absolutely it is okay pour you some vinegar how much do you know just pour you some on there all right you kind of rub that vinegar in just rub it all in there that vinegar gets this meat nice and clean and not to mention it gives it a great flavor and it also tenderizes it absolutely it does okay so just rub that vinegar all throughout your meat just like this and then we're going to give it a rinse and then we're going to go in with your lime or your lemon the salt in the cold water and we'll give it a nice wash just like this this is how you clean your meat at least this is how I clean my meat guys give it a rinse under cold water only you never want to use hot water you never want to use warm water cold water only okay in this manner fried ribs is on the menu tonight and boy am I excited so here's what you're gonna do go ahead you take that lemon or lime and you squeeze it all about the meat you give it a nice rub just like this okay I just feel like the meat is absolutely squeaky clean when I use lemon or lime in vinegar it's awesome try it sometime this is how I like to claim my poultry my turkey my beef my pork absolutely I do okay and you see that I always use two limes or two lemons two is always just enough just like this want to make sure you get every single one get down and those nook and nooks and crannies of the meat just like so beautiful like I said it gives it flavor as well that's a juicy line a juicy lemon oh I tell you one thing my mouth is watering already and I haven't even got started on this mmm-hmm your girl's making something special tonight my family's gonna be so excited yes they are so earlier earlier I did a video for shrimp risotto if you haven't seen that video be sure to check it out because it was an awesome awesome video and an awesome recipe that result Owen so quickly within what I must say within 40 minutes that whole pan of risotto was gone yes it was because it was delectable here we go beautiful just like this guys okay now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take the sea salt come on pour that sea salt all over my meat and I'm gonna kind of rub the meat together is this gonna make it salty no it's not and the reason why is because I'm gonna rinse it so don't worry about that I'm just gonna take each piece in that salt it's kind of makes a and abrasive okay and you just kind of scrub it I'm gonna continue to do this and then I'll give it a nice rinse and we'll be ready to season and start frying these bad boys up okay okay everybody you want to make sure after you're done cleaning your meat off we rinsed it off make sure you wash your sink out there thoroughly okay here's what we're going to do next so what I did was I went ahead and I rinsed my meat thoroughly and then I took paper towels and I dry excuse me and then I dried the meat off very well let's go ahead and season our meat up and what I like to use when I'm making fried ribs I like to use some garlic powder oh let me open it all the way up I still got this is a brand new one I need to take that paper off got the paper off let's use some garlic powder just like so season two meat don't be afraid to season it all right you want some tasty ribs and you want them to have flavor right then you season them bad boys up all right like this let me use my other pepper grinder get you some black pepper on there in the same manner it's late guys I was waiting on my risotto video to upload before I did this video because most of the time sometimes what I'll do is I'll do a video and then I'll put it on hold do my other video like back-to-back and then I'll have two videos that I need to upload in the evening so I told myself I wanted to get that video uploaded for you all and then that took about two hours and so now I'm doing this it's just some black pepper on there in adobo adobo is gonna make this just perfect adobo has that salt in it it has granulated let's see as tumeric it has garlic we just put garlic and it has onion it's absolutely beautiful you hear me put you some on there don't be afraid to season it now what I'm gonna do I want to go in with one hand now want to try to mix everything in and get those ones at the bottom as well okay make sure you have some flour because flours what we're going to use to coat these bad boys oh yeah baby just like so and then we're going to let these sit with the seasoning on them for around about seven to ten minutes okay deep down into this beautiful meat we're going to dredge our meat into the flour mixture now it's really up to your discretion whether you want to season your flour I don't want to season my flour and normally when I fried chicken I don't season my flour as long as I season the meat good oh I'm happy you know so I think I'm gonna put a little bit more just a little tiny bit more adobo beautiful I'm gonna let this sit you know we're gonna be dredging our meat and this will be done in no time you can make this as well and this doesn't take any time to make this and get it on your dinner table it doesn't take hours and hours to cook ribs right now I'm going to show you that tonight okay so what we're gonna do next is meanwhile I have my oil heating up and how you want to check your oil and make sure your oil is hot enough you want to take you a little bit of this flour put it in there and if it sizzles right away just like that did then your oil is hot enough if you do that with your flour and you put it in and that flour silks to the bottom your oils not hot enough okay so now that we have our oil nice and hot let's go ahead and dredge now you can turn around and take each piece and dip it in the flour if you want but I'm just gonna pour the flour yes I am I'm I pull there flour right on there let me get these bad boys mixed around in here just like so and I'm gonna make sure that every crevice of these ribs are coated in this flour this is not self-rising flour this is just regular all-purpose flour that you fry chicken in and you know this is the kind of flour I use when I fry chicken and we're gonna fry this just like we're frying chicken guys this recipe is not hard to do and even you even you can do the same thing that you knew young does in this kitchen you hear me absolutely you can okay and I want you all to know that I'm so serious I was just talking to somebody through a message and she said girl you making me look good out here and I said that's what I'm here for you know that's what I am here for I'm here to show you all recipes and let you know that you can do the same thing I can do you know I'm not I'm not anything special here I'm doing the same thing that you all can do all right all right just like this here and get it nice and cold it make sure everything's coated before you put it in you want to give it a nice shake just a nice shake how come you're shaking it Gina well actually you want to shake it because if you have extra flour on there what will happen is your flour that comes off of it will go down to the bottom and you have a bunch of burnt pieces at the bottom and you don't want that so to prevent it just shake it off a little bit okay and it's that simple all right so then you grab what you're gonna fry up give it a nice shakey shake and we are having fried ribs I'm gonna have all you guys mouths watering tonight I hope you all are having a great day and a great work week absolutely I do look at this guy so simple let's see we'll start off with about that meant much and then I'll see how many more I can get into my oil a little later okay okay everybody in the pool we go and put it in there gently please put it in there gently okay because if you put it in there the wrong way it's gonna splatter up on you and you don't want to splatter it and burn yourself or burn anyone else that's in the kitchen with you okay so very gently okay once you get it down in there like this just let it go okay you'll be just fine don't get crazy and throw it in there oh I'm so excited so on the side I'm just making some macaroni and cheese okay am I making baked macaroni no I'm not but I'm gonna bump some box macaroni and cheese up you hear me and it's gonna be good it's gonna be cheesy it's gonna be good we're gonna have some fun oh yeah okay medium high you don't want to cook this on high because it'll burn you don't want to cook it on low because it'll never get crispy medium high is that perfect keep that you want to have this on to have successful fried ribs once it starts to get nice and golden brown I'll come back and I'll show you what it's looking like now let you know exactly how long these take to cook okay everybody I got my macaroni noodles to the left let's take a peek in at our beautiful fried ribs so you can have an idea what they look like they've been cooking for around about 2 minutes ok let me see if I can pick one up and show you come on let me see here's one look at that beautiful and no it's not ready it'll be ready when it's nice and beautifully and golden-brown it'll be a golden brown color you'll know that color that you look for when you think of fried pork chops or fried chicken it'll be that color okay see this here hold on let's see if I can pick this one up see that can y'all see that well beautiful so it's doing exactly what we want it to do just keep an eye on them every once in a while you can go in and kind of move them around a little bit but not in the beginning in the beginning when you first put them in there you don't want to touch them and the reason why if you go in touching them with a fork or a spatula you'll take all of the flour off okay and then you won't have that nice crunchy batter on the outside so you wait a little while until that crust gets nice and hard and then you can move them around just like so so I want you all to take your favorite whatever your favorite barbecue sauce is and you heat that salsa and you make sure that sauce has came to a nice boil and what I like to do now there's a couple of different things you can do when these come out of the oil you can take them right away and you can dip them in nice hot barbecue sauce and then you can throw them in the oven for around about 10 minutes to kind of bake that sauce in I'm not gonna do that what I like to do is I like to have my fried ribs and just have a side of barbecue sauce on the side of my plate therefore if I wanted if I want to just eat my ribs just like they are I'll do that and if I want to dip them in the sauce I'll do just that so this is the way that I love to do it and now and also sometimes I like to take ranch and mix it with hot sauce and honey and I will dip my my ribs in that as well absolutely if you never tried hot sauce ranch and honey it is crazy you have to try it so we're gonna let this go for a little bit I'm gonna check all my noodles cuz my noodles are done go ahead and mix my macaroni up and then I'll come back okay everybody our ribs are done let's get ready to take these bad boys out you hear me wait look at these things this right here this right here is what you call golden brown you never seen golden brown before well you've seen them right now look at this this right here oh and I have a cooling rack right this is a cooling rack and I just have a baking sheet underneath it okay and what that cooling rack will allow it will allow circulation air to circulate all around this fried rib and it won't allow for the bottom of the rib to get soggy okay so so now what I'm gonna do I'm going to put the other ribs in the oil so that they can cook and I have about four more that need to cook I'll come back we'll plate these ribs up I'll let you all know what my best not to burn the daylights out of my mouth cuz this bad boy is hot right now but I want to eat it so first what we'll do let's start off with the macaroni give that a taste let me know what you look like a pork chop you have to try this without the sauce first give that a try and let me know what you think and then we'll go in with the barbecue sauce and make sure that you use your favorite barbecue sauce let's dig in take a bite oh oh this right here mmm the meat it's so nice and crispy and beautiful on the outside and all of those seasonings you can taste every seasoning that we put on here and the meat the meat is absolutely tender and the reason why that meat is so tender is because we use vinegar and we use that lemon and we squirted that lemon all over we rub that lemon all in this meat and that vinegar it helps to tenderize trust me when I tell you this look at this one more bite I'm going in that is some kind of good you hear me almost forgot about the sauce you hear me here's the thing this is so good you don't need the sauce well you don't need the sauce mmm tastes it like that going in for that part right here [Music] look at that I am getting off here so that I
