hey guys welcome back to cooking with tammy live i'm tammy and today i'm going to show you how to make my delicious quick and easy what i like to call weeknight dinner chicken alfredo guys nothing more comforting and soothing than a nice creamy alfredo sauce smothered in chicken anyway guys without further ado let's introduce these ingredients and get started right here i have a chicken breast that i sliced in half it's washed clean pat dry and ready to go i also have some olive oil as well as all-purpose flour chicken broth in the back as well as heavy cream parmesan cheese minced garlic butter or should i say double butter as well as garlic powder black ground black pepper and some salt what i like to do is i like to start by cutting my chicken into nice chunky bite-sized pieces so what i'm going to do is i'm going to put my gloves on for this task by the way how is everyone doing i hope everyone is in great spirits everyone is doing good yes absolutely good to go alrighty guys i am gonna slice this chicken like i said into nice bite-sized chunks nice chunky pieces in my opinion guys when you're looking for something nice and comforting especially during the winter months chicken alfredo is definitely one of my go-to's honestly i love me some chicken alfredo alrighty not only is it quick in about 20 minutes i would honestly say it takes about 30 to 20 minutes to prepare doesn't take any time whatsoever alrighty alrighty then [Laughter] all right to this chicken i am going to add as a matter of fact i'm going to put it in my bowl i've got a bowl right here on reserve i'm going to add it to the bowl we're going to place switcher roof and to this bowl we're going to add a pinch of salt not too much we don't want to over salt as well as a little ground black pepper and i love to add garlic powder for that extra flavor add that garlic powder and we're also going to add a little olive oil and we are going to combine the seasoning with the chicken because we want what guys flavorful because we want what guys flavorful food i can't get my flavorful out what's that about mix it in really really good get every piece of chicken seasoned perfectly you're gonna pop the top on this all-purpose flour and we are going to add some flour just a small amount because we're just coating the chicken not too much [Music] we're not making fried chicken guys we're just coating it enough because what we're going to do is we're going to brown this chicken just before we add it to our alfredo sauce all right that's good enough to this pan guys what i'm going to do is i am going to add some oil into this oil guys what i'm also going to do is i'm going to add some butter the reason why i like to add butter to the oil or the reason why i'm adding oil to the butter is because butter tends to burn really quickly so if you add it to the oil it will definitely prevent it from burning not only is adding the butter to the oil gonna give the chicken a nice brown uh color but it's also gonna flavor it's all like i said flavor today is just not working but it's also going to add a delicious flavor to the chicken as well i'm like what's up with the word flavor flavorful flavor flavor flavor all right hopefully if i got to say it again we shouldn't have any problems right guys i got that out the way all right so this hot oil we are going to add our chicken pieces hey just add it in there we got enough space in our pan so we don't have to worry about overcrowding whenever you're frying something guys try not to overcrowd the pan so that way everything um is able to be distributed evenly and it will cook evenly without a problem and also without dropping the temperature too low which would which would prevent it from frying i gotta be honest i love me some alfredo whether it be chicken alfredo or creamy chicken and bacon alfredo or should i say creamy chicken and bacon and alfredo sauce or shrimp alfredo any type of alfredo as a matter of fact last night i made uh some creamy garlic lobster alfredo oh goodness gracious absolutely phenomenally out of this world absolutely delicious guys so tonight we are going to be making chicken alfredo can't go wrong with chicken alfredo right absolutely not not to mention um it's also a good recipe for those who may be allergic to seafood but still want to enjoy a nice creamy delightful dish well here you go definitely chicken alfredo is the way to go alrighty guys so we are back and our chicken is fried to perfection i'm gonna take it out and just sit it on a plate and we're just gonna set it aside all righty that's it look at how beautiful absolutely gorgeous right all righty to this pan what we're gonna do is we're also going to add the remaining what should i say butter number two we're gonna add it and we are also going to add our minced garlic combine both ingredients give it a quick stir allow the garlic to release all of its wonderful flavors into the butter give it a nice stir um already starting to smell fragrant yep gonna allow it to do its thing for about 30 minutes i like 30 minutes really i just caught what i said i'm like what i'm gonna allow it to do its thing for about 30 seconds because i want all of the flavors from the garlic to release into the butter i usually do that whenever i'm adding garlic to whether it be olive oil or um butter just let it sit in there let it do its thing come to a slow simmer get that little bubble action taking place before i add anything because i want all of those flavorful flavors from the garlic to come through alrighty i'm going to add some heavy cream add it in there and as i mentioned in my lobster video i love to use heavy cream over half and half reason being in my opinion the heavy cream it thickens quicker it's much easier and it gives a more creamier taste i love the fact that it's so much more creamier than half and half don't get me wrong i love my half and half and my coffee but i love heavy cream when i'm cooking especially when i'm making like alfredo sauces all right we're gonna give everything a good mix allow everything to heat up once again and once we get that bubble action taking place we're going to add our other ingredients get that garlic all incorporated with the hat with the about to say half and half with the heavy cream absolutely beautiful and the smell guys the aroma smells so good so delicious by the way let me bother you guys for a little bit what do you guys plan on eating tonight for dinner are you gonna do chicken alfredo make this recipe or are you gonna eat something else what are you gonna be eating tonight because i know this chicken alfredo is about to go down to be honest with you i might not even get to like really indulge the way i want to because sometimes i'm so busy putting together other stuff that i don't even really have time to you know eat the way i want all righty as you see i added the um chicken pieces to the pan and we are going to cover and submerge these chicken pieces into the sauce and we're also going to add our parmesan cheese give it a good stir good mix incorporate it really well and we're also going to add extra flavor our chicken broth guys add it all in there and we are going to continue to stir combine and allow everything to thicken up and do its thing this is perfect guys absolutely perfect this is like such a nice quick and easy dinner especially during the weeknight and for those of us who may not be able to eat seafood or we prefer something other than seafood this is definitely the way to go not only is it quick and easy to put together um the recipe is like you know it's very like i said it's very easy it's nothing complicated because i know there's a lot of people out there that you know they don't really care for cooking or cooking could be a little bit complicated but i mean come on honestly this is about like what a 15 10 to 15 minute meal so quick and easy guys and the taste is absolutely delicious this is it guys we are absolutely done absolutely gorgeous right and of course i have my pasta on deck ready to go and what i am gonna do is guys i am gonna spoon this delicious chicken alfredo on to our pasta feel free to pair this chicken alfredo with linguine fettuccine angel here pasta vermicelli doesn't matter or even uh angel here doesn't matter guys whatever you prefer rigatoni whatever you prefer mm-hmm yes guys just add the rest add the remaining amount get all of that sauce cover that pasta and the sauce and everything is nice and saucy and we are in business guys absolutely hit it off with a little garnish and this is absolutely gorgeous and dinner is served guys yes it's none other than taste test time and i'm gonna go straight for the gusto i can't wait to dig in guys honestly chicken alfredo is one of my favorite pastas guys let's see let's see absolutely delicious guys absolutely delicious wow wow so nice and creamy it's nothing better than a nice decadent sauce honestly on top of pasta wow anyway guys absolutely delicious as always cooking with sammy dot recipes for the full principal version of this recipe and you can't go wrong this chicken
