How to Make an ARMATURE for POLYMER CLAY FIGURES

Hello guys! In this video I'm going to show you how to make an armature which you can use on any figure with a little modification. In this case I'm working on a custom order so I'll show it on this reference picture. Cut the wire approximately three times longer than your figure. Bend the wire in half and twirl it as you see. Use a pliers to make it stable if it's wobbly. Then cut the excess on top and attach it to the twirled part. Be generous on the wire you can cut the excess if it's long but it's really hard to expand it if it's short. Not impossible though. Then cover the armature with aluminum foil this makes the sculpture stronger and frevents clay wastage. Make sure the foil is stable. you can use strong glue on the wobbly parts. The more stable your armature is the easier working on it. Our armature is ready cover it with clay and you're good to go. Thanks for watching.
