[Music] here's how to make the wire armature for your figure sculpture you'll need two pieces of wire one 24 inches one 14 inches you'll need masking tape and take a look at this diagram we're going to start with the longer piece the 24 inch piece line up the ends so they meet pull it so it's tight that bend is now going to be the head cross it and pinch below and above where it crosses for the neck and twist twice now for the shoulders go out and down out and down make sure they are even fix them if they're not for the waist cross the wires pinch below it pinch above it and twist like we did for the neck and for the hips go out and down just like the shoulders make sure they're about the same width as the shoulders and now if your twists are loose grab some masking tape and just wrap those twists with the masking tape over and around and under [Music] until it's tight now you need to know where your joints are bend at the ankles and then the knees are going to be halfway from the hips to the ankles so bend there so you have your joints now we're going to make the arms you'll need your 14 inch piece again me match the ends up pull it tight that loop is going to go around the neck hold it in place with one hand and with the other hand sew the arm through the torso and out along the collarbone until it comes out the shoulder do it on the other side sew it through until your arms come out at the shoulders bend them down and if you find that your hands are too long fold them up to make mitten hands and aim for your hands to be about halfway from the hips to the knees bend at the elbows and there you go there's your wire armature [Music]
