hello humans i hope you've been enjoying triangle strategy as much as i have you can tell i've been enjoying it because i never published episode one of the let's play like i promised and that's because i've been playing non-stop and actually finished my first route in less than 48 hours after the game released i figured that since i've spent a bunch of time playing this game i'd let you in on one of the secrets i've learned along the way and that's how to level up a unit and catch them up to your team really fast if you do this correctly you can gain like six level ups on a unit in about 20 seconds and no i'm not kidding i can actually show this to you live before i do the actual demonstration though it's worth discussing a bit of the theory of how exp gain works in this game as they say give a man a fire and he'll be warm until it goes out but if you light him on fire then he'll be warm until the end of his life if you want to skip this and just see it in practice go ahead and go to the time stamp on the screen or in the description but it doesn't hurt for you to learn it so that maybe you can even improve on my strategy and let me know in the comments anyways the way leveling up works in this game is that there's a certain experience curve that decides how much exp you get from certain interactions now this is the real bread and butter of the video if you have three levels or under of an enemy or the recommended level of the map you can get 100 exp per interaction that's right i'm not talking about just attacks or kills i'm talking about per interaction and speaking of interactions not all interactions are made equal and while i unfortunately don't have the exact values or multipliers on these i'm going to give you a list of things that give exp and where i think they rank in terms of how much they give kills give the most exp and i think that just makes sense right out the gate then they're followed by actually attacking or doing damage now doing damage can happen from follow-ups as well so your primary attacker gets most of the exp out of the interaction and then your secondary attacker gets a reduced amount from what i can tell it's like proportionate to how the secondary attacker does less damage again i could be totally wrong on this because i haven't extensively tested it but i have seen both the attacker and the follow-up attacker get 100 exp if they're low enough in terms of levels after attacking comes skill use damage skills like magic or attacking skills seem on par with normal attacks in terms of exp gain and then there's buffs traps debuffs and support skills in general that seem to be a little bit lower tier in terms of exp game than attacks and damage one thing i'm not entirely sure of but i have a hunch about and i'd like to test it out is the amount of tp required for these actions and whether or not the exp gained scales with that i don't think it does the same way that hitting multiple units with an aoe skill doesn't increase the exp you have but it's a possibility i'd like to explore and maybe rule out so i'm just letting you know here so that i'm not misinforming you anyways after that i think is item use i think item use is the lowest exp multiplier out of all of them but it's still nice that it gives exp in general you can gain 100 exp per action using items as well and i'll be more than happy to demonstrate all this in a video soon enough but yeah i think that's everything that can actually give you exp in the game if i missed anything let me know and like i said in all the little disclaimers i don't know how various actions alter the exp curves or gains exactly but maybe i'll investigate it and do a follow-up video to this but for now i'd like to go through the basic things that you'll need for my strategy for the fastest exp game that i think is available in the game in order to gain exp on a single unit really quickly what you'll need is for this unit to move multiple times very quickly the first and most important unit you'll need is benedict at level 7 benedict learns the skill now this skill requires 3 tp to start with and lets you immediately let a unit move right after him if you promote benedict at level 10 he'll start with 3tp anyway so that shouldn't be a huge problem but you know just to let you know right out the gate that it does need 3 tp this means that in order to maximize the potential of this strat you'll need your unit to have more speed than benedict so that they can move before him then get hit by now if you really want to optimize the strategy you can give your unit something like the vanguard scarf that makes them go first no matter what and then roid up benedict on speed stuff so that he tries to go second but i think it's fine if they're just one speed higher than him since most of the time enemies won't really hit you on turn one does this make sense so far i hope so anyways the second thing you'll need is more instances of now and the nice thing is that the game gives us one of those very early and it's the quietest called in tandem in tandem is basically now but anyone can use it the plan would be to have someone with just one speed under benedict or the same as him so you can use this right after or right before the last thing you'll need is the character you're using which should be self-explanatory my strat won't really matter if they're mage range or melee as long as you're within the range required to just hit something or even use an item and i say something because things like barricades give you exp when you attack them so the setup is very basic if your unit has more speed than benedict they will move first attack use an item and gain a level then you use now and they'll repeat the same action after that use in tandem and they can do it again a third time that's an instant three levels you can get and if you're doing this in a mock battle you can just then retreat and re-enter again and repeat it all over now i know i said six level ups and no i wasn't kidding there are some units who have the nice ability to do two actions at once for example anna has the passive skill act twice and this lets her attack twice in one go so yes anna will gain experience a whopping six times and it's possible for her to level up each one of those instances i think you could probably also do this with medina's item twice skill and of course anyone that has any kind of move twice or double action kind of deal they don't all get these skills at the start but even without it just these tips should be handy enough to get you some really fast level ups and catch your units up to your main team in general if you need to do that anyways as much as i would love to show you this on my anna she's already too high level so i'm going to demonstrate this with archibald an archer that you get that is conviction based that also has a similar kind of skill all right so you can see we have our setup over here i've got benedict and i gave him actually a speed bangle to get him up to you know number four and i actually gave archibald the vanguard scarf this is basically how i've optimized it so he always goes first and then benedict is in slot four which is my next unit right after him and you can see number five is hassabara it doesn't really matter who's after benedict as long as someone goes after him just to make sure that these things don't go too slowly so anyways let's go ahead and start the battle so here you can see archibald is immediately ready to go first so i'm just going to move him here in a range where he can attack someone that is the sticky arrow and what sticky arrow does is it lowers evasion and it gives him another action so we can go twice so you saw he got 100 exp from the first attack he just got 100 exp from the second one that's two level ups now we unfortunately have to wait for enemies to move really quickly in an ideal world we would just go you know back to back right away but here we go now benedict gets to use now and this will let archibald move again right away i guess benedict leveled up too that's fine [Music] and then we will do the same thing we just sticky arrow that's three levels and then you can attack again four levels getting started and then hassabara can go ahead and use the in tandem quietus and this targets the entire map which is very nice and you can just use it on archibald one more time and oh i almost made a mistake there sticky arrow again because it gives us the action that's five level ups and we attack with the bow for that sixth level up so there's six actions on archibald that's basically how it goes most units will get five and that's how it goes before we end this i want to show you a couple other things which is attacking barricades and stuff like that with item usage so i'll just wait for the enemy to finish their turn here and then once one of my units is allowed to move again we will do this come on okay so here we go with narv i can attack this barricade here and that gives him 100 exp and with medina we will use an item doesn't matter on who there's 100 exp there and then here's a support interaction with jens i think his name is where he can build ladders and that will give us another 100 for a level up and last but not least we will use healing with gila and that's another 100 so you see these are all the different types of interactions that can give us exp and then what you can do to work is if i can remember how to do this can we just retreat yeah so we can just retreat and like it says on the screen you will retain your exp and kudos but you will lose everything else so that was what two minutes maybe a little bit longer because i'm actually explaining things and going through the motions but it should be much faster for you guys so yeah that's about it look forward to some new videos like and subscribe if this video was helpful and i'll see you guys in another video very soon peace
