How to Install Sun Guardian Chain Shades Inside Frame Mount

so this is your standard Sun Guardian install hardware bag this is your clutch your brackets with screws provided stop balls your P clip and your D rings with install hardware and what you want to do is just grab yourself a knife open in one end of it what you'd go ahead and do is just pull it out the actual packaging itself so here you have your bottom rail you have your fabric which is hung on by your tube double check everything make sure that you have your idler side which is opposite of your clutch and if you come down to your other side an opposite of your idler is your open is your open in and basically it's just a weight in your clutch and we do not recommend using any blades to take off this saran wrap anything majority the times it will just pull off for you and to install you will need your clutch you're for bracket screws and of course your brackets and on this this is going to be your clutch side you can obviously make the identification that that will slide into that and this will be what holds your idler side so because this shade is right-handed you will need to take this guy and mount it on your right hand side for your clutch so you'll take two your screws and your bracket and if you come over here we can install this as an inside mount and if you have when you're working with your inside mount the proper distance from either side would be however far and you wanted to go so one-inch or your two-inch and mark it and then do the same on your opposite side to ensure that your brackets are level with one another with this under mount I've already pre-drilled my holes for my bracket so I'm going to tack one up like so grab my last screw you want to double-check it with your level making sure that you're dead even which we are on this so you know that brackets good so you pre-drill your holes grab your hardware with your drill making sure that we're nice and even which we are on that so now we can go ahead and install our shade what you want to do after you get your brackets installed is insert your clutch so you'll notice on your clutch you'll have a valley side here and your pop side here and what you want to go ahead and do is meet those two up give it a little wiggle slide it in until it stops so with the tab provided off your bracket you'll go ahead and slide on your clutch until it sits flush up against that bracket like so and then your idler side so what you'll do is go ahead just bring your shade up set that in there and go ahead and just lock it with your arm give it your up-and-down motion you know it's locked in place and your shade will not be going anywhere and this part of your son Guardian installation your son guardian shade installation is going to be your P clip which we carry so no one can wrap themselves around this potentially injuring somebody so this is your P clip and there's a connecting rod in between these two that you can cut off with a pair of dikes or even an exacto knife and what you'll do is you'll just clip it off so you're able to get your chain through there and what you're going to want to do is grab your chain slide it in between there and let it hang down and what what you want to make sure is that you don't have too much tension on this to where it's going to be difficult to run so once you find that's too much bring it up about a quarter-inch so you have about that much play and that'll be perfect and then with with your designated hardware go ahead and attach it like so alright and next step is installing your stop bolts and these are designed to make it so the shade doesn't go past where you want it so bring it down a little bit and bring it up and say you like your shade right there and what you'll do is you'll grab your two fingers here you'll grab your first ball that's under there pull it down come two balls up for that from that one and attach it there you know here's a little clip and what you'll notice is that as you bring it up that ball is going to stop within that clutch so it cannot go up any further than that and you're going to lower your shade down to your lower limit of where you'd like it to stop at couple inches off the ground is good and you'll repeat the step the same step with your top stop ball that you did the same with your bottom so if you like it right there go ahead and grab the nearest ball pull it up go to up snap it in place double checking that it's going to stop your shade which it does every time and that's how you set your limits on your shade when you bring it up you notice that your top stop ball will stop it exactly where you had it before
