How to Install MMod for Half-Life 2

all right so real quick I'm going to show you how to install and mod for Half-Life 2. all right so the first thing you're going to do is you're going to make sure you have Half-Life 2 installed so you just go to your library see it's installed online right here if you want to use anything else with mlod like episode one episode two Lost Coast go ahead and just install those the next thing we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and just open up our browser we're going to go to this link right here at moddb go ahead and go here we're going to go ahead just click on the newest version which for me is 1.3 this is version 1.3 so go ahead and click on this and here I'm just going to click on this big red download button right here and it should automatically download if it doesn't you can actually go up here and just click on that and you can just manually download it once that's done we can just go ahead and open up that zip file and here we're just going to go ahead and double click on that I'm going to double click again we're going to go ahead and click on that streaming folder and in here is all of our mlod stuff now in here you can either pick and choose what you want to use or you can just take it all I'm just going to go ahead and just copy all of this so the next thing I'll do is we want to navigate to our steam apps directory which for me is on the D drive and here in Steam apps we're gonna go into source mods if you don't have the source mods directory you can go and just create one you can just go right click new new folder right here and then just name it sort I'm going to go ahead and just go into my source mods folder and I'm just going to go ahead and select all of this stuff all these folders right here and I'm just going to copy them right over here to my source Mouse folder okay so once all this stuff's copied over here we go ahead and just close this and we're gonna go restart our steam real quick now in Steam if we go to our library and you can see here is all of the mods I installed and we can click on the one I want to play which is over here you want to launch it through this exe here that says the half of 2m mod and not through the original Half-Life so it's going to click on this and you just go ahead and hit play and that should be everything you need to play a mod [Music] foreign [Music] [Music]
