How to install Gephi 0.9.2 & fix the "Cannot find Java 1.8" issue

hi it's me Jeremy and I am going to show you how to install Kaffee I am going to do that on Windows but the process is basically the same on Linux or on a Mac and the main issue we may have to deal with is related to Java let's just find giveus installer you can just search for Givi on google the first result should be the website where you have a big button to download the software your operating system should be already detected and then you can just download the Installer and install it the same way you would do with any application when it's finished you can launch giffy let's see what happens of course we didn't install Java so now we are going to install Java so that if he cannot properly work so what is Java basically Java is a software layer that's installed on your computer and gif is installed on top of Java and it's like that because this way we can develop TFE just once and we don't have to develop it for Macintosh for Windows and for Linux because the Java team is doing that for us they are developing a virtual machine that installs on different OSS and then we can start on top of Java so let's install Java 8 that's the proper version for Givi we can just go over Internet and search for Java 8 and once again the first result should be the good one and now we can download Java it's required to agree on these statements save the file and run the Installer okay Jeffy is now installed so it should work right let's try it so at this point for you either it works or it doesn't if you're lucky if you will just open now if you're unlucky you will see this error message it comes from the fact that even though Java is installed your computer doesn't know where its installed and we have to tell goofy where it's installed it's supposed to work but it doesn't and I don't know why so let's fix it to fix the Java issue we need a text editor and I don't mean word but a text editor that allows you to edit text in the raw format basically a developer text editor so we need to tell giffy where Java eNOS is installed it requires to just find where gif is installed and where Java is installed it may vary depending on your computer but I'm going to show you where it is online and it should probably be in the same place in yours on my computer and probably on yours too it's on the windows partition in Program Files and then give eo9 to within this folder you have a etc' folder that we are going to open here you should see two files Kaffee dot clusters and Kefi and actually this other file is defeated conf right now I don't have the extension of the file names displayed but I'm going to display them so that I'm sure it's the right file by clicking on add view on this window you can check filename extensions and now you can see it's give it Kampf I am going to open this file with notepad plus plus there is a lot of things going on here but we don't need to pay too much attention we need to know two things one of them is that these shops here are hashtags if you want at the beginning of lines means that they are commented and not taken into account and there is one line here that contains where Java is supposed to be and that's the line that we want to edit and we want to remove the hashtags so that we activate the line and then we want to copy-paste the right path to where Java is installed right here so let's delete the shop and let's find the path to paste here finding where Java is installed is basically the same as finding Jeffie it's in the Program Files but it's in a slightly different place on my computer at least there is one for learning program files and another one named Program Files x86 and x86 means the older system and it turns out that Java is in this one although giffy is in the other one inside the Java folder there is a sub folder containing the specific version this one is JRE one 802 51 let's open it and this is the path we need to copy/paste it we can just select in the address bar of the browser this copy and now let's switch to our notepad file I'm going to paste it here save close strike if you know it works
