do you have to show your face if you want to grow on social media no you don't whether you're camera shy or growing a business or product based account in this video I'm going to teach you a few strategies for how you can grow your online presentence whether you want to grow on Instagram Tik Tok or YouTube without needing to show your face hello everyone welcome or welcome back to my channel why you're here so let's get into it most of the strategies I teach are for people who want to grow their personal brand meaning they want to use their authentic self image and likeness to grow their social media presence and eventually make money so in this video the tips that I'm sharing are strategies that I've picked up from helping students who were camera shot and didn't want to show their faces and from studying other accounts who have had success by being faceless of course there are thousands of other strategies out there I know I'm not saying it's my way or the highway it's my way or the highway but these are just some tips that I've seen work tip number one I got to start with the obvious picking a niche but not just picking your Niche it it really goes a little bit beyond that really what's going to work well for you is diving into how you can make an entire brand make sense without showing your face let me give you a few Niche examples and then we'll dive into how to create a brand around that specific Niche a few industries that work well from not showing your face are gaming cooking drawing or art reshare or meme accounts we'll Circle back to that one cuz Instagram's recently changed their algorithm about that travel book Hobby and pet accounts when you have your Niche or your industry picked out it helps to create your image to be faceless or Focus your brand on the industry that you're in for example for people who went to grow grow their personal brand as a Creator I might encourage them to put their face in their profile image have their handles say something like fashion with Emily or Emily Marie shop I encourage them to make themselves part of their business using their business name photo and handle to all match their brand but when you're faceless what you can do instead is emphasize the focus on the topic or industry that you're in you can utilize a very clear photo or logo to represent the industry that you're in plus having a username like fortnite all night or Hidden Gem San Diego at something sweet at the tasty TBR all of these are handle examples that focus on the industry that it's in you have gaming travel baking and reading a few creators that implement this really well are at so yummy at allabout Vegas and at the Cozy Bookworm as you can see by their brand and profile photos it's not about themselves it's about the topic that they want to be well known in maybe you already have a name maybe you don't but for anyone who is looking to create a professional business online I want to take a second to with different styles of faceless content there are so many ways to be faceless in video content and in photo content obviously right now we're in an era where video is the now and every platform is pushing video hard so if you want to grow fast I recommend sticking to a video strategy which is what I'm going to focus on in this video here are seven different styles of video that you can create to remain faceless of course each of these styles are going to vary in difficulty depending on what Niche you're in the first one is by using stock video there are plenty of websites that you could go to to download videos that are already recorded and made for you you just get to piece them together and turn it into your own story a website that I use for this is story blocks they have stock photos and video options next option is to do a prop Style video so what you would do in this case is your recording but it's not your face it's objects your hands a common use of this is in the cooking industry where people have those overhead shots of their phones cooking making dishes even doing art so those are more prop focused videos next is screen recordings or screen shares this makes the most sense for gaming walkthrough tutorials where you're showing how to do something on a computer or on your phone or even celebrity gossip Pages you can have screenshots of Articles and simply using a voiceover talking about each thing the next option is by using Wave form if you're somebody who has a podcast you can share sound bites via short form video in hopes of it grow growing as a trending audio it doesn't even have to be a recorded face version of your podcast you can just use that audio bite have maybe stock video going behind it or a blank screen with the text popping up the next option is graphic options if you're someone who's pretty good at graphic design or you have a little spare change to invest into somebody on Fiverr to make graphic videos for you that's definitely an option I follow an account I think it's Lenny I might be wrong but I follow this account it is just the cutest little blob ever giving motivational speeches every day and I love him or her I love it I love it another option is voiceover styled videos maybe you don't have a podcast and you just have really banging quotes that you want to get out there it's a fun strategy that you could use to create potentially viral audios where people are coming back to your account to find audios or creative audios and then finally a reshare or meme account I love following meme accounts I think they're hilarious this is something that is not as successful on Instagram right now because recently Adam aeri did announce that they are dialing back on pushing out content that isn't original content they really want their creators to be creating original content to the platform so reshare accounts won't be very successful on Instagram but you might have more luck there on Tik Tok or YouTube shorts and then the same thing with memes memes can be really successful it's so easy to download a meme or GIF from like gy.com jiffy.com however you want to pronounce it go into canva turn it into like a 4-second video and that is your real or that is your Tik Tok easy peasy boom shakalaka those are a few different approaches that you can have when creating faceless styled content tip number three quality over quantity the thing that a lot of faceless creators have in common is the quality of their videos are topnotch and even if it's not the best quality in the world it is eye-catching they're not just pumping out content left and right five times a day they are taking their time to craft a really well-created solid video this ties into storytelling how are you going to keep your audience from continuing to watch your video Once you grab their attention you have your four value pillars you have educ ational entertaining inspirational and relatable how you going to use these value pillars to encourage somebody to continue to watch for example education this user right here brown coffee I think that's what he's called brown coffee he started out as a faceless Creator and he was just educating people on coffee using really great Coffee shots like if you like coffee these close-ups M made you crave coffee and that's what he did really well he created those educational styled videos that delivered on that promise you also have Lenny I hope it's Lenny you also have this account here great with storytelling that is the entertaining side of value which value pillar are you going to focus on when creating your content tip number four is to study what works specifically in your industry look at other accounts who are capturing attention without having a face attached to their account even as you're scrolling on the for you page when you are stopped like what makes you stop scrolling when it's not somebody's face check your own actions as you're scrolling on the forie page what gets you to stop scrolling take take note of that and try to implement those strategies when you're creating your content I will say if you're trying to like hide your face this is kind of like give andake don't make it too obvious I love book of the month if you know me if you follow me on Instagram I'm an Avid Reader I love reading book of the month I've been subscribed to book of the month for 2 years now love them love them their monthly subscription box not sponsored but when they first started creating Tik toks I noticed their Tik Tok videos were like maybe their employees but like always trying to like hide their face and like they would move and like cover their face awkwardly and it just felt disingenuine is that a word disingenuous disingenuous it just felt off so if you're trying to hide your face try not to make it too obvious like that of course what's interesting is with book of the month once they started showing their face their account really started to take off so you get to see that transition in their feed which I love to see the evolution of people's feeds but it's just something interesting to look at if you want to look at an example of not making hiding your face too obvious check out book of the month they have great stuff now but just in the beginning don't hate me now now if you're somebody who is starting number five for you is to always leave your call to action pinned in the comments actually before that always use a call to action and the comments if you're anything like me I go to the comments before I even finish the video I don't even know if I read the caption on Tik Tok ever I just go to the comment section see the community see what's happening there it's so important to pin your call to action in the comments I think there's some rules on Tik Tok right now where you can't say follow me for this comment below for this like you can't say certain phrases so you just have to get creative with your cult to actions instead of saying follow me for more content like this you can say something like if you like content like this check out our page if you like content like this you'll love our other videos something that encourages them to go to your profile and binge a little bit more now the fun part let's take a look and examine some fais profile examples in different Niche types so that you can get some more inspiration I already talked about book of the month but I'm going to use them as an example again of course book of the month it's not a personal brand they're a business a monthly subscription box for books maybe at first they didn't feel like they wanted to make it about the people they really wanted to focus on the books and that was their intention with their first couple dozen Tik Tok videos like I said it was a little obvious that they were hiding their face it didn't create any sort of mystery of oh who's behind the who's behind the camera it just felt awkward so there is a way to do it where you can create a mysterious aspect to it not like this but again it is really interesting that once they started using creators who were willing to show their face on their profile that's when their account really started to take off which makes me ask you why do you want to remain faceless why do you want your page to be faceless there's no right or wrong answer but just something to think about it does help create a potential deeper connection with your audience next we have golden brown coffee I love this channel this page started out faceless as well there was a big face reveal and everybody's like wait we saw your face it was great but originally this account grew completely faceless just educating the coffee Community or BDA Community anybody who wanted to learn how to create coffee really good coffee espresso from home this account is great at delivering on what we talked about earlier with quality styled videos even though they were faceless the quality was great and you had clear voiceover next we have lady and the blues lady sh lady get it oh it's funny next account we have is lady in the Blues lady is a pet account and this account has blown up it doesn't even use a human face but it uses an adorable puppy face or dog face I think what has helped this account blow up so much is adapting those trending audios and using it so specifically to your Niche that it just works really well there's story times everybody loves dogs so there's a great example next example is at so yummy I mean come on it's not about the person it is simply about making your stomach grow so yummy quality videos food born got to love it an example of a reshare account is get lost website if you are somebody who wants to grow a reshare account you can definitely look into them and their strategies a travel example is one called all about Vegas it's not about o look at me I'm traveling let me show you all the places in Vegas it's like no so I'm going to just show you the places in Vegas you don't even know who I am you don't know who's running the account but I'm going to show you all the places in Vegas and again I'm going to mention cozy Bookworm I know cozy Bookworm doesn't have the largest following right now but I'm expecting that page to do pretty darn well I wanted to catch a Channel or a page that was on the brink of growth it looks like she started this account this year and already has about 7,000 followers at the time of me recording this and does a great job with just nurturing her community in the book world I'm assuming it's run by a female so she has a great example of keeping it simple and not overthinking and just really catering to her audience and to her
