How to get get your banana plant to fruit & grow HUGE BANANAS 🍌🍌🍌

everybody live I'm a 73 here it's early in the morning and I got a couple of emails asking me a couple questions that I do really want to address because I need to handle how do you get your banana trees to fruit I've had a lot of fruiting video for my banana trees number one before I get started is let me let me sit down for a hot tick okay okay now how do you get your banana tree to start fruiting number one and first and foremost you got to make sure you have a fruiting banana tree if you do not know if you have a fruiting banana tree there to me I mean I'm not a professional at bananas but there is no way to tell um some of the bananas like I know a rajapuri how red the trunk is and a grand name you know how big it gets and how big the leaves get uh uh I have an ice cream banana they got a like a powdery bluish green tint to them I I really can't tell you how but I'm telling you what you need to do is get a banana tree from a reputable banana tree dealer somebody that sells fruiting banana trees I usually sell them when I got tons of them but I don't right now because I'm all sold out as usual you know that so what I'm gonna do I'm gonna show you when you get a fruiting banana or even this if you not if you're not sure if you have a fruiting banana or not you can still take these same steps because eventually either the banana is gonna fruit or it ain't okay and then you get to taste the fruit all the banana all the banana trees are let me back that up all the banana trees are going to fruit but the the more uh decorative banana trees like the Musa it's not the bananas taste horrible you know what I'm saying it's just like that a patio bonfire peach tree it's a peach tree and it's gonna have Peaches on it with the red leaves and it's ornamental but when you bite into that peach it's like biting into a tennis ball no matter how long you leave them on a tree or whatever they taste horrible so the bananas are pretty much the same thing so what you want to get you want to get a fruiting banana tree and I have some of my favorite that I can let you know about um just let me know if you enter this and I can tell you all my favors that I have here on my land uh but this is what we're gonna do I'm gonna get you right now how do you get bananas on your tree how do you make your banana tree bigger let's get at it okay so we're gonna head out here to this banana tree and I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you something I don't even think I released that video but this banana all the bananas that I'm gonna show you today were um the results of me cutting them all the way down to the ground y'all saw me do that last fall cut them down to the ground and what they look like now if you live in a southern region states I mean in the southern regions you don't have to take your banana in the house it helps if you want fruit but the longer you leave them in the ground what I'm seeing is the root the actual bulb gets bigger and stronger and it produces a bigger tree faster which will produce fruit taking it digging it out the ground what I used to do dig it out the ground and put it in the garage or in the crawl space and put it back in the ground Every Spring that's unnecessary if you just let the bulb grow okay if the Quorum as they call it if you just let that grow it's going to do this now watch this now this is the tree it was nothing here y'all saw me chop this down in that old video this is it now I've sold five pups off of this tree and now it's taller than me there's another pup right there now that I'm looking at it right there see it that's another one right there this is how you make your tree grow bigger number one let me flip the script number one let me uh this is some organic fertilizers or Citrus tone I don't care if you use compost chicken crap 10 10 10 I don't care it's up to you but you have to feed it I mean feed it hard beat it a lot I don't care kitchen scraps everything you can think to put under your banana put under it chop and drop you name it so I'ma show you exactly what I do right now okay number one here's that organic fertilizer you just put that it's a hole right there where I dug a pup up and I'm just gonna dump all of that in it and see this Quorum is so big that this is this was the old tree from last year I dug up two or three pups around here two or three around the back and one is coming up so this Quorum is is the circumference is probably all of this Greenery you see here so I just leave this here every year now here's the part that's going to hurt your feelings okay number two because what we're trying to do is get this get this plant as big as possible as fast as possible because once it reaches a certain size and height it's ready to have babies dig up all your pups from around from around the base right here dig all of those pups up because what they're doing is sucking all the energy from the mother plant that wants to produce uh bananas and pups so dig all your pups up from there so all the energy can go into your banana tree now here's the part gonna hurt your feelings all right hold on okay this department gonna hurt your feeling get your knife time to make it happen okay so what we doing now is see all these beautiful leaves big beautiful leaves this is one of the parts where you don't really want to do it because it's so beautiful look I'm gonna stand back here don't want to step on my Peppers see all how it's it's perfect those little leaves at the bottom are sopping up energy that it could be using to grow and produce um bananas take them off it's gonna look weird at first but trust and believe watch this you get this on camera make sure it's on it this one gotta go whop this little one around the back gotta go and even I'ma even take this little guy here where he a little bigger but I'm gonna take him too wow now that's it now I left two leaves on this tree right here I'ma go throughout my yard and do all my bananas like that but all of that energy is going to go into this one tree this one plant no leaves no none of that so I'm gonna chop these leaves up and leave them around the base I'm not gonna leave them big but I'm gonna chop them up real fine and leave them around the base now here's the other thing tons and tons and tons of water tons of water you can't water these things enough they can actually survive in just water when they're dormant like over the winter you don't want to leave them in water but during the summer hot months they could live in water just water so drown them with water if you got a wet spot in your yard put them over there for the summer dig a hole and just leave them there for the summer but you want to drown them with water water and food water greedy they freaking fiends so that's how you do it now this tree as you can see it's a little bit taller than me right now watch what happened I promise you watch what happened in about 30 days I'm gonna show you how big it is and what it's doing now whether I get fruit or not this year because I'm starting this really late you should you should be doing this early when it's still this little like that pup you should be clipping those leaves constantly because they sop up too much energy okay so what we gonna do I'm gonna head back over here let me get my cow oh come on leg we'll head back over here and I'm gonna chop one more plant for you okay okay here's another tip uh when you cut those baby plants off the pups from around the base of the tree you can do anything you want with those you can repot them you can plant them somewhere else in your yard you can sell them make a little extra income because that's what I do now here you go remember this is where the blood the blood Peach was right here right by the chicken coop it hated it for some reason it was failing right here so I dug one of the pups off of that one over there that we just came from and I stuck it right here and it just took right off every now and then you know it get a little limp and look a little dead you want to cut that Pup off let it dry for a few hours you want that Quorum the root boil to dry a little bit and then stick it in the ground and Bam here you go that has tripled in size in just a couple of weeks so there you go now what I'm gonna do same thing I'm getting the chance to start this one early take that little leaf off let's come up with it bam and I'm gonna leave these three on there but I'ma continuously take those leaves every time every chance I get I'm gonna take those leaves because I want this tree y'all see how little it is give me 30 days watch what happened I'm gonna grow this little baby pup into a monster because under the ground under that ground down there is a quorum growing and it's getting huge because that's some good soil down there to stay moist that's probably why that peach didn't like it so trust and believe that works and that's how I get Peach I mean not peaches them and it just works you gotta feed them you got a water you gotta drown them and you gotta Gorge them with feed trust and believe anything you got kitchen scraps organic soil 10 10 I mean organic fertilizer 10 10 Dead Squirrels anything you can think to throw under that tree is gonna make it grow like a beast so I hope this helped you out because I'm gonna go out here and I'm a chop and trim
