How to Free Roam Without Mods in NFS The Run

hello guys today i'll show you how to do free roam and need to speed the run so uh there's two ways of doing it first way is by uh reversing at the start and going offroad basically well the next the other way like the other method um allows you to explore pretty much the entire map let me show you the first way which is way way easier we'll go to stage three and we'll pick a car let's say oh i don't know it's gonna i don't know what to choose actually let's choose the z4 because it will be pretty funny in my opinion it will be pretty ironic to use the set for in this case so as i said the first way is when you start the race um or or whatever whatever race just stop and turn around and wait for and wait for the message that tells you that you're going the wrong way to disappear once you have stopped like when you turn around when the message appears you stop and then you uh wait for it to disappear then you continue again and keep doing this until the mini map says that you're not on the road and then just turn right and you'll be free so let's go okay okay that's a stop okay why did we do that you're not thinking the wrong way i stop send me wrong way i stop and i just do this okay that took a long time sometimes it takes a while for it to disappear sometimes it disappears almost immediately when it's after you stop it seems to vary constantly anyway uh this is gonna take a bit so uh i'll be back in a bit [Music] [Music] [Music] okay until we are getting towards the end of the mini map which means we are almost done with this we have just a little bit as can tell in in case you're wondering i discovered while just driving by myself there's a bit more road down in fact this area is the same area where you um where you see the beginning cutscene with a jack which is actually the reason why there's so much road behind the mini map in fact that's where you actually drive by that's where you drive by you cannot go back to this area anyway we are officially off of the minimap now we can just uh start turning to the right to go to the off-road okay now we should be free there we go now we can drive offroad in bmw z4 now in case you're wondering in this area it comes up to the like canyon the grand canyon and uh and actually i think it's impossible to actually go down this without uh wrecking your car i mean i could be wrong i could just be terrible at this game but i'm pretty sure it's impossible because i have tried this a few times i have tried going down without wrecking and it just doesn't seem to really work i mean look at that this center bro what the okay we're getting wrong way already again and we get reset okay that's about as far as you can get it doesn't matter though since you're gonna get wrecked anyway if you if you don't do it right so yeah that was the first way let's uh let's exit in fact actually if we could stop there i think you could actually remove that and continue but i don't think it's possible to stop so yeah you're not going down the grand canyon for the second method i will say one thing you can go to nevada dreams go to dry heat and if you do the method i'm gonna show now there you're actually gonna get to explore quite a bit [Music] right now i don't know which track to do though planes interstate let's say maybe i don't know i'm not sure uh i'll i'll be back when i have decided what i want to do i'm gonna do dirty drifter actually i'm gonna do it in the darius all right why the not really like the car so i'm just gonna do the thing in this so let's do this so for this one this one's much much harder to do what you're supposed to do is when you're at the finish line when you're like very uh way across it just press the reset button like while you're crossing the finish line like like when the end of your when the rear end of your car is starting to cross the finish line press reset that when you do that you notice the timer bugs and uh you can drive the slot anywhere you can go from the you can go back to the beginning well actually you can drive almost anywhere along the road you were on you cannot actually go off into other roads really you can do it in other tracks it seems to kind of vary it seems like in the last area in like what would be considered new york [Applause] um that's you can actually um go and uh you cannot drive around or like the race where you do where you race with uh with a calvin garrett you cannot go very very far like when you go there you kind of just stay on the road you cannot go too far anywhere thankfully there exists a pre-roll mod which helped out with this issue anyway um since we're talking about doing this at the of the finish line we are starting to know it so so let's just do that okay so we're basically the finish line we don't need to win we just need to be able to pull this off which is not as easy as as you may think like it sounds really easy just press the the reset button while you're finishing i don't know if i did it we'll see no i did not okay you would be able to tell if you did it because the timer will stop start skipping uh milliseconds you know the time will bug you will start skipping milliseconds and stuff yeah that's a mistake anyway we still have resets basically you just need to do this when you're crossing it if you do it right uh you will the time will bug out and you'll be able to drive in in the reverse direction without the game stopping you [Music] let's see will i be able to do it this time i think i did it i think i did it i did it okay okay this is it okay now you can just um not get wrecked by the opponents oh now you can turn around and drive in the opposite direction if you want to which is what we'll do unfortunately as you can tell pretty much everything is still blocked off which i am really angry about because look at how many areas there are still they're just completely blocked off by the game anyway you can go pretty far back actually also that's interesting is that as you can tell if you're driving this lane like this it does count as the oncoming line it shows that the game's gold was made specifically for this we'll just become at least in my opinion [Applause] let's just uh go all the way back yeah so in some scenarios we'll be driving on that road and but not in this one this one you're driving offroad unfortunately the battery there does not disappear so i cannot go there like in the in that dry heat race you can actually go on the actual roads as much as you want i think like there aren't any barriers to stop you so uh yep let me let me check something around here okay though there is a road here i think i'll get reset yeah that's what i thought you do get reset but we can drive surprisingly far what the that was surprisingly far i was able to drive for more than i thought i would be able to meh again if in some areas you'll be driving across this road but not this time uh that's gonna reset me as well isn't it we have to check though you know we cannot leave this without checking yeah it does reset me let's uh let's go back in this direction let's continue going in the opposite direction though another road which is gonna leads to like a little farm this is really fun to look at even though i really want to know but at the moment i go on there it resets me god damn it i really need a free role mod for this like i want to see what's there it's probably nothing but uh still i want to see how how much nothing there is because it's pretty fun as well there's a little thingy there leading to that area again it's going to reset me by the way in fact a lot of these things are really going straight up reset me like they're they're gonna let me go anywhere i find it very unfortunate uh anyway let's just uh let's just continue i won't be bothering with any more roles just kind of aren't oh wait we are past the start line and uh we have reached the end of this road pretty fun it's actually six kilometers this section that's pretty funny but it's pretty fun or actually pretty fun i mean actually let me show you let me see something doesn't just despawn yeah they just despawn where the was that road though there's actually so much road over here i think that's because uh again when you're driving is calvin garrett you actually drive throughout this area here so i think that's what it is i did not know that no this was this far back oh there's the mini map so this is where we start over here this is where we start interesting so yeah that's kind of it yeah i guess this is it for this year as i said go if you go go to nevada dreams and go to dry heat and you'll see something really fun yep okay anyway oh i cannot even pass the game oh yeah that's a thing you cannot actually pass the game so i can the only hope i have is resetting my car and then just crashing out like resetting my car twice and then just crashing out just control the plus button just straight up doesn't work actually not i wanna check out some more areas we just pull up on the side let's just slightly we cannot do anything there again we cannot go here but against calvin we can here they are they're kind of slow now let's see before the finish line we don't really have anything and after that we have so much more but we just cannot drive to it okay anyway this is pretty much it for this i don't plan on doing
