hello guys welcome to my channel my name is dk in this video i'm gonna show you how you can solve this problem right there on my desktop it's an error message and it says i read windows cannot find a particular file named filename.exe located in the c drive in dispatch so it went ahead to say make sure you type the name correctly and then try again this error message will pop up each time i reboot my system so by the end of this video we will be able to fix this problem and every other similar error messages like this one dig sticks or that they are all saying the same thing so without wasting much of your time legs die in well um before you can solve a problem is always advisable to know the root cause of the problem well you will kind of get this error message if maybe your antivirus in your system you know scans your system and may be deleted if i that and it's expected to be a virus so when this happens this file gets missing in the c drive and you will get this error message and sometimes if you're transferring data from maybe a device to your system and maybe along the line there was an entire option and you can maybe you didn't finish transferring the data this error message can still come up so um it doesn't really matter what led to this error message i think the hinting here is how to solve this problem looking at us so now the path is on c drive backward slash user user app data local temp subfolder then define name x file name dot e x e so let's try and visit this part and see what we have there i will use my file explorer i'll click on it it opens and it's covering the error message let me kind of reposition these things so i'll draw it down a little let me duck it down and the error message was i want to be seeing the error message and be navigating the part at the same time okay i think it's fine like this the error message there and this is my computer so i will um visit the c drive now click on pc and this is my c drive the local disk i click on it now i'm inside the c drive i need to visit users and you can see users here click on users now the capital letter user okay now i click on user now i need to visit the folder called app data and um if i search all through here i don't think i'm seeing any folder called app data let me maximize you see this all we have here go through it yourself there is no app data let me minimize again so this is where the problem lies the system is saying it couldn't find if i named filename.exe located in this part but when you try navigating this part you get stuck here you couldn't find app data it doesn't really matter your own folder can have different names but they are the same problem do you understand so the thing is if you're stuck here you need to do one more thing click on this view button here on the left top corner of this window so click on it and right here you will see this checkboard that says hidden items so you couldn't find this app data because it's hidden so all i'll do is i will check this checkbox here so check on it and when i check on it if i reverse it as you can see app data appears do you understand i go back to view i uncheck this the app data disappears so sometimes there are folders in the c drive that is hidden by default so if you are looking for a folder you couldn't find click on view then check this hidden items okay so now i can find my app data i can continue the navigation so i'll click on app data xd6 time directs me i'm looking for a file named filename.exe remember so i click on app data yx i can find a folder called locale then i click on local and um temp i'll go right down let me scroll right down here okay here i can see temp and after temp i need to visit a folder called subfolder so screw right down i'm looking for sub folder okay here so this is the subfolder right okay so we are on this subfolder but we couldn't find any file named filename.exe in fact this subfolder is empty i couldn't find even if i so what will i do i'll create that file and to do that i will just um go ahead and use my notepad i'll just create an empty file okay i'll just save it on the c drive okay i'm saving it at dix file this part temp subfolder and i'll name it filename dot exe all right so i'll go ahead and save all right so you can see that the file appears there filename dot e x e so um i think this solves this problem so i'll go ahead and close this now i have the file which is missing filename.exe right here so let's go ahead and click ok and i will try rebooting my time to see if that works thank you for watching and if this video was helpful try to subscribe like and hit the notification button so that you get notified when next we release a video like this in this channel
