here's how to fix there is a billing problem with a previous purchase now if you're on your iPhone or an iPad and there is an issue with a purchase on the App Store it might look something like this there's a billing problem with a previous purchase and it just has cancel or continue I'm going to walk you through some steps on why that might happen and how to get it fixed so there's actually a great Apple website that walks you through some solutions to this basically it says that basically Apple was not able to charge that car that you have on file whatever payment method you were using something like that there's an issue with that payment method so it says first you can change your payment method so let's walk through steps to do that so let's go into your settings tap on your name at the very top and now we'll tap on payment and shipping on here once we go into there let's once this actually loads tap on your payment method at the very top you might need to go in here and update this payment method update the address to the current country zip code uh address whatever you have and then make sure that card number is okay if that's not okay you can always just go back and hit add a new payment method so that's the first thing that you can do and then basically we'll go through the steps of billing that previous app that you purchase and then you can move forward with purchasing any future apps so let's go back again and I'm going to walk through the Second Step so another one is you can use an Apple gift card or an App Store gift card to pay any unpaid balances so what it says here is to just go into your settings medium purchases view account so let's go into at the very top tap on your name and then we will tap on subscriptions and you can see if there are any unpaid subscriptions in here they might show up as red or there might be an alert thing that you need to pay for any of these subscriptions that are in here so go through here and your app store and make sure that you paid for any subscriptions that have tried to bill you but are not able to bill you and then the last thing that we can do is if you're using Family Sharing potentially the organizer of that Family Sharing has turned that off so you can check that as well let's go back into settings here we'll go back and then let's just tap on Family Sharing Midway down and you can see purchase sharing at the very bottom so you can tap on that and potentially if purchase sharing was set up and somebody else's card was on there maybe they revoke that and you need to keep in mind maybe you need to add your own credit card on here or ask the person who's organizing who's in charge of the family to make sure that card is up to date hasn't expired all that stuff hope this helps you have any questions on that leave them in the comments down below and I'll catch you on the next one
