hello everyone my name is Oludayo  in this video i will be showing you   how to address the following  error when your PC or your laptop   starts with PXE 61 Media Test Failure check  cable PXE-MOF: existing no boot device found So PXE errors are Preboot eXecution Environment  is a boot environment that allows the motherboard   to boot from using the network interface card  instead of using the PC's internal hard drive.   Basically the problem is your PC is not booting  from the hard drive so it's trying to use the   network interface card to boot the PC so how do we  fix this error the first thing we want to do is to   make sure the windows is booting from the internal  hard drive now i'm going to go ahead and press   any key to reboot the machine then immediately the  dell logo display i will press F12 to access the   boot order from here i can see the settings in the  BIOS showing the boot order of the machine this   shows that the machine is actually booting from  the internal hard drive and if the machine cannot   boot from the hard drive it will can attempt  to boot from the CD drive and after which if   that is not successful it's going to attempt to  boot from the onboard network interface card and   also you can use up and down arrow key to move  the pointer to the desired boot device since i   want to boot from the internal drive i'll go ahead  and press enter now selected boot device failed   press any key to reboot your system so we are not  sure if the hard drive has failed but i will start   this system immediately the dell logo comes up  i'll press F2 to enter into the BIOS settings once   you have access to the BIOS settings there are  two things we are going to do here the first is to   check the date and time if it has reset itself and  also do some settings in boot sequence i'm going   to use the up and down arrow key to scroll down to  the date and time as displayed and i had observed   that the time on this system has reset itself so  i'm going to change it to the present time so the   present time and date um 11/18/20 and 12 24 35 am  this one is completed i'm going to scroll up then   go to the boot sequence then it is very important  to set your internal hard drive as the main device   in which the system would want to boot from by  default because this is where your operating   system and other installation files are kept then  click on the internal hard drive use the arrow key   to move it up as the preferred device now  the last setting will be on the boot list   option the legacy option has been selected as  the legacy boot mode now i'm going to select   UEFI as my new boot mode and apply all the  changes i had made in the BIOS settings then   we have this apply settings confirmation are you  sure you want to apply your changes click on save   as customer user setting then okay then click  okay again and this system is going to reboot   the system is going to reboot to windows it might  take some few minutes that is it for this video if   you have any question drop it down below i hope  this is helpful thank you for watching please   give me a thumbs up subscribe to my channel and  follow me on social media thank you bye for now
