How to Fix a Storm Door That Won't Shut - Adjust door closer

so here I'm having an issue with my door jam here and it won't let my door close all the way this piston here is all the way in and I can't adjust it here spinning this knob and so it still won't close so I've got a couple options here but first i'm just going to start by adjusting where it's screwed in so I'm going to loosen up the screws here and see if that fixes my issue okay now I can slide that and then pull it shut and then when it's shut I can go ahead and tighten these back up there we go so now my door should shut again perfect so I'll just test and see if I like like the speed on it perfect so that'll do it so that might be one issue that you're having so check that otherwise it might just be this dial here so if I spin it it's got a plus and a minus on it if I spin it towards the plus it'll close slower if I spin it towards the minus it will close faster so it's really up to you on how you want the door to shut and then you can go ahead and adjust it if you're having an issue where the door won't close completely hopefully that helps
