How to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.17+ [Bedrock, Pocket Edition, Java]

hey guys welcome back to another minecraft tutorial video today i'll be showing you guys how to obtain diamonds in the new minecraft update now i have noticed that there has been some struggles by getting diamonds it's not really that easy anymore because of i think the the height i think just changed and like you gotta go beyond negative numbers but um i will show you guys that right now uh and um i guess let's get right into it then okay first things first you gotta make sure your uh coordinates are gonna be on obviously shown in the settings right there next thing what you wanna do is find pretty much find a cave um that makes you makes it easier or you can just obviously dick straight down what i'm about to do right now since i'm too lazy to find a cave and creative so yeah just keep mining down um now pretty much you will most likely find a cave like what i did right there if you want you can stop there and go down from there or you can just keep digging straight down what i'm just doing and you'll just probably find another cave um and pretty much the cave that i found uh the next one actually is of course there's like lava beds a lot of pools so you can actually just literally look around there um do not be discouraged that uh you won't be able to find any obviously i try to find some right now as you can tell i'm just looking around the lava pools because i highly wouldn't recommend you just wasting uh your pickaxes or your tools um on just like mining like for hours until end around these lava pools because it's just not really worth it i tried that already it's absolutely complete garbage along with the ways that i have actually uh been strip mining so now we're going to the tools that you need you're going to need obviously a stone and an iron shovel you're also going to need a pickaxe of any kind along with the iron pickaxe now i would recommend using pretty much almost all stone tools and um i also recommend being on coordinates y12 as obviously that's still the best place to find diamonds even though they say on online you can find it in strains the uh set y 16 and lower i actually just looked that up so uh it's not very specific but yeah y12 and y11 are the best spots to actually uh use this now obviously i go down to like uh 50 i guess um 50 blocks in as you can tell oh yeah i also forgot to recommend torches but obviously that's more common sense than uh actually just telling but for beginners yeah make sure you bring lots and lots of torches now on the way i was recording this i kind of lost track of how many blocks i was in because after i started just digging in i kind of lost track so you'll see me just going back into the beginning and just placing out torches now this is one way to actually keep track of where you are you can just tell that's one right there i could just put like one two three blah blah blah blah blah it just keeps going on and on and on uh i would recom i would recommend not doing this because it's actually a waste of material once again so i just recommend just like looking down the ground and then counting as you see the block actually like light up a little bit and you could just like just keep counting until you reached uh at 50 or either the current number you are on that you stopped at i stopped at number 49 so i only needed to take pretty much one like two more blocks well actually one more chunk but like there we go now what you want to do next is actually depending on where you are turn to left turn to the right whichever side you're on right turn to the left two times dig in and the third one you just start turning left and dig straight from there and then it's pretty much the same thing rinse and repeat throughout this entire thing um so yeah you just like keep taking um i was always in creative mode uh so yeah now don't be discouraged if you didn't find any diamonds yet that's kind of a whole part of the process because like of the past uh two worlds i've been one of my friends one of my own i found uh let's see two uh two ten strings of uh diamonds yeah that's pretty insane my i didn't realize it was rare until my friend showed me the possibilities of getting it and i was like oh dang i mean unless you have x-ray obviously i don't have hacks though my friend does though but um yeah so pretty much this is very it's very useful it's very helpful obviously there's quicker ways out there you could just always find youtube you'd be like oh yeah um i know there's the lapis technique and also that clay technique which everyone says oh it should be illegal or something or at least this is some thumbnail say that um but yeah those are the quicker techniques obviously uh i guess quicker more effective but you can just tell me you can just see right here i just sped up the video now just a heads up i did not find any diamonds but please don't be discouraged that you do not see any diamonds on screen as like i said before i did find like five strains eight strains 10 strains of diamonds a lot so this will obviously take patience just like strip mining um now if you guys want this to be more effective i recommend going instead of like 50 blocks i recommend going 100 to 200 blocks as you'll most likely increase your chance of finding diamonds that way obviously that's take some more material more torches more everything in every possible way so i'll just say just prepare to be uh getting into a lot of materials then again you'll probably get a lot called look at look at this i literally probably have like over 3 000 stacks of cobblestone i already have like a whole one whole chest of cobblestone in one of my worlds and it's like completely it's a double it's a double chest too so you can just tell you can always just like run through those uh those uh stone tools obviously and obviously if you run into redstone or like anything else like iron and stuff you could just use your uh iron pickaxe obviously just to uh quick at the pace i guess um but like i said before i did not find any more any diamonds on screen uh which is kind of disappointing i was really hoping i would be able to um but uh no i did not find any diamonds i'm kind of to my own disappointment but like i said before please do not be discouraged i did not find any diamonds on screen or like uh i didn't like get anything that oh this is useless no it's actually pretty much worth your time and uh most likely one my friends are gonna be hopping onto this video saying yeah i'm not lying so um yeah that's pretty much it for this mining technique i most likely will get to the lapis and the clay technique uh in other videos i only want to make one technique for this video um as you can see once again like i said before i did not find any diamonds on screen which i felt a little bit disappointed but uh yeah that's kind of it so um in the end i hope you enjoyed this video like i said before please do not be discouraged um by uh by this you will actually find diamonds and it will be very rewarding because like i said if i found like two strains of like 10 block diamonds i'm like damn but um yeah guys so uh i guess until next
