HOW TO FIND A GODLY MAN | Characteristics of a Godly Man

hey guys welcome to my channel where I want to encourage girls to grow in their faith and just talk about everything with you guys so today I want to talk about what to look for in a guy and more specifically what to look for in a good godly guy so I'm not dating anyone right now but I know it's something that I'll do in the future and recently God has been teaching me some really specific things to look for in a guy and I just felt led to make a video and share them with you so if you're wondering how do I know if the guy I'm talking to is a good guy and how do I look for a good godly guy then just keep on watching so I just first want to address that the world will tell you so many things about what to look for in a guy including like he has to look a certain way and be a certain height make a certain amount of money just like all these really shallow and surface level things but the Bible is clear if you are a follower of Jesus then you should be bearing fruit in your life and when thinking about like what to look for in a guy you should very clearly see the fruits of the Spirit in his life and the fruits that I'm talking about are the fruits of the Spirit and they are love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control and I feel like as Christians we should naturally be bearing fruit in our life as we walk out this life with God and allow Him to shape and develop us so the fruits of the spirit should be evident in this guy's life so for example let's start with love is he a loving guy like how does he treat other people how does he treat you how does he treat his mom and how does he treat the waiter does he have good relationships with the people around him love comes from God so does he love other people well and also is he joyful is he generally an uplifting guy whose joy is in the Lord or is he constantly negative and complaining and pessimistic I mean those are just things to think about and also P is he full of peace does he know that God is in control no matter what the situation is Jesus says over and over that he gives us peace and it's a peace that transcends all understanding in the face of tests trials and hard times and also patients is he a patient guy where does he lash out and go off on other people and also is he willing to wait for you in terms of like physical boundaries and relationships or does he pressure you to go farther than what you're comfortable with also kindness and goodness so these are pretty self-explanatory but is he just a good-hearted kind guy and do you see goodness in his life like through the activities he does and the friends that he keeps around him like do they bring goodness in his life or bad and destruction also is he faithful and this is like faithful not only to you and being like a trustworthy guy but does he follow through what he says with his actions and the gentleness is he a gentle guy and I'm not saying that he has to be like super soft all the time but is he gentle with like the way he resolves conflict or the way he is with children or is he always screaming and yelling and just harsh with his words so as God has been teaching me what to look for in a guy I want to read a passage that he's taken me back to many times and this isn't just like regarding a guy this is applicable to everyone but it's Luke 6 43 through 45 and it says no good tree Bears bad fruit nor does a bad tree bear good fruit each tree is recognized by its own fruit and then verse 45 a good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of so going back to verse 44 where it says each tree is recognized by its fruit so when discerning like is this guy good or bad for me you should be able to tell by the fruit on his tree you should clearly see that he has love joy peace patience all that in his life and if you have to look really really hard to see some fruit on his tree and make all these excuses for him then he's probably not the best guy to date because the Bible is clear so when telling if someone is good or bad the proof is in the pudding if he is a good guy you will see the fruits of the spirit show up in his life and his actions and in his speech whatever is in him will flow out of him so regardless of what the world and magazines tell you about what to look for in a guy it's all actually pretty simple if he's a good godly guy then you should see fruits of the Spirit in his life and make sure you guys have fruits of the Spirit in your own life too so that's just something that God put on my heart to share with you guys especially for girls who are my age or younger who may be dating around or just getting into relationships you don't want to get into a relationship with the wrong type of guy because a lot of times those just end in heartbreak and wasted time sometimes so I hope this helps someone with discernment and I also just want to say that I've come to learn that God is a God of peace not confusion so also if you're talking to a guy and you just don't feel peace about him and you've prayed about it and you just don't feel peace and you don't feel peace and there's a lot of confusion then maybe he's not the right guy for you because typically especially in my own life the
