[Music] [Music] thank you today we're putting urea on our sweet corn urea is your nitrogen we've got as you can see here urea 46 percent that's your available nitrogen total nitrogen 46 percent there's nothing else in there's no potash there's no uh phosphorus dystria corns corn loves nitrogen it's a heavy feeder usually what we do when this corn is about knee-high we till up between our rows then we make a Furrow with our hoe down the middle of each row which I've already done you make a Furrow down each row right down the middle and then [Music] the urea in that burrow and then we're going to cover it up you do this when it's knee-high we've had a couple weeks of rain it's been hard to get in here couldn't get it filled up so you want to be able to till your soil because the reason we're making a Furrow is we're going to cover that up if you don't a lot of this will dissipate into the air covering up keeps it in the soil more and we just get a little cup here and then we'll just go down each row we got about halfway down this row a lot easier to do when your corn is a little bit like I said knee-highs about the time you want to do it but a little late Ain't Gonna Hurt nothing we just sprinkled in that Pearl so you see a nice white line going down your entire row just like that you only need to do this one time now we'll just go down the next row we'll just keep doing this now we just take our corn hole go back down the row again if the Corn's a little shorter it's easier but we're just we're just putting the dirt right back over top of that a lot of people the farmers they use liquid nitrogen um I don't think it makes any difference really but this is easier to get for me than liquid nitrogen so usually get this like uh your local grain Mill your uh some of your feed stores and stuff your agricultural stores have it we'll get through ours through uh new new nutrient neutrina nutrient and Attica 40 pound bags take a lot you're doing a small patch of corn a 40 pound bag that'll last you a few years you're not putting it down real heavy you just switch rows and just keep going down your roads covering them up and that's it you're done orange looking yellow it's not growing real good it's looking kind of yellow it needs nitrogen you put this on there you'll notice a huge difference within a within a couple weeks it'll green right up and it'll shoot right up like I said this is a good patch of corn the soil here been amended with some manure chicken manure so doing good but I still give it a shot of nitrogen hey [Music]
