How to Enable Cross Progression in Apex Legends (The Right Way)

cross progression is finally here in season 19 of Apex Legends and in this video we'll be going over the details about cross progression what not to do so you don't lose any of your progress when merging accounts and how to enable this feature so let's dive right into it cross progression has officially begun rolling out to select users across the Apex Legends Community with the first reports of it hitting players on November 2nd not too many people got it on this day unfortunately and some of those that did had severe issues where they kept getting errors when trying to load into the game or had lost their progress when merging other players though had worked smoothly where their information merged perfectly allowing them to play Apex on the platform of their choice for the people that have gotten cross progression it seems that the majority have been PC players and at least from people within my community those that have been Apex Legends players since the game released were in that first wave of accounts to be merged in response to the players who received errors and sinking issues related to cross progression respa tweeted this out we're aware some Apex Legends players are experiencing cross progression issues we're actively working on fixes and will continue roll out on Monday November 6th which is today so over this past weekend no users were able to get cross progression while bugs were being worked on now however a brand new wave of roll outs are being pushed by respawn so players can begin their account migrations also in this tweet respawn warned users to not unlink and relink your accounts from each other as it won't impact when you receive cross progression one really important note that respawn didn't mention is that if you unlink and relink your accounts it could actually cause some really bad issues where you could lose your progress when merging accounts on the EA help Forum website this user posted some incredibly helpful suggestions that you should follow they mention do not unlink your account from your original EA account this will remove all progress do you have two different EA accounts do not try to unlink or relink a different Xbox or PlayStation account this will remove all progress did Xbox make you use an Outlook account to sign up and you have a different EA account now do not unlink your progresses on your old EA account with the Outlook email you will lose all progress if you unlink if you're using the same EA account on All platforms this allows cross progression between platforms wait for the in-game prompt coming in the the next few days unfortunately some other users commented that they wish that they saw this sooner as they had went ahead and unlined and relin and are now experiencing issues in game I definitely advise not to try this method as you could severely hurt your account and lose some progress within the game in another post an EA staff member responded to this user's question they wrote on the blog post it is noted that accounts created after today will not be eligible for the merge I have had an Xbox for quite a while but I've had no desire to play Apex since I did not want to have to unlock all the Legends again hence I have not created an account to merge if I were to log into Apex today with my EA account would I not be able to pull over my progress from PlayStation to Xbox I guess my concern is that since I have not even downloaded Apex on my Xbox that I will not be able to use my progression from PlayStation do you have any answers for me on this the EA staff member responded with this is referring to the process of merging your content between accounts not the ability to use cross progression in your situation let's assume you just have a PlayStation account link to your EA account and haven't ever attached an Xbox account if you then connect a new Xbox account to that same EA account you'll have access to that content on both PlayStation and Xbox accounts going forward as well as any future platforms you may link what you need to worry about in relation to the warning above is that any content you unlock on that new Xbox account before the migration takes place will not be merged with your PlayStation content as the new account was created after the date in this example you're absolutely fine to link a new Xbox account to the same EA account afterwards and use your progression from PlayStation if you don't know what accounts are associated with your EA account you can actually log in to EA's website and in your settings you can view all of your connections regarding when you can expect to see cross progression and how to enable it users have been asking on the EA Forum site to get a better understanding of when they can expect their accounts to merge as confirmed by a Community member at EA they mentioned that cross progression will be rolling out to users In Waves over the coming weeks but we can't confirm the frequency of it as it depends on many factors another team member said that they haven't announced any specific time frames for the waves as this may vary slightly depending on how smoothly this transition takes place to allow for any issues to be addressed when your account is migrated ever you will see a notification pop up similar to the one below for you to get cross progression on your own account the best thing you can do is sit back and patiently wait definitely do not try to unlink and relink your accounts as you might lose progress we've waited 19 seasons for cross progression to release So within the next few weeks or so you can expect to receive this in-game notification letting you know that cross progression is enabled on your account let me know down below if you guys
