hi i'm david a product owner here at plugable we just launched a new usb graphics adapter line based off of silicon motion technology we released three graphics adapters our uga dps uga hdmi s and uga hdmi 2s the single and dual display graphics adapters are a simple and affordable solution for extending your laptop screen to an extra monitor or two they feature a hybrid two-in-one usb 3.0 type-a and usb-c cable for a quick and easy connection to your computer our new usb graphics adapters were made with a high productivity user in mind someone who may need microsoft office excel microsoft word email open on one screen graphs and charts for data analytics and maybe a chat window on another screen all pulled up at the same time on external displays so one common question we get asked by customers is how can i connect six seven or eight monitors to my laptop so i can have a different application on each screen and at plugable we like to push our products to the limits and evaluate them to really see what they can do today we'll demonstrate a proof of concept setup in order to connect eight 1920 by 1080 monitors a modern windows laptop using our graphics adapters and an external usb 3.0 hub like our usb 3 hub 7c that we'll be using in this video now we'd like to remind everyone that this is a proof of concept and if you decide to try a setup like this your experience may vary we only recommend our usb graphics adapters for use with office and productivity applications also some windows systems may limit the number of usb 3.0 devices that can be connected at one time finally each adapter connected will use more resources from the system's cpu and graphics processor so performance may vary depending on the specifications of the laptop so for this demonstration we'll be using two of our uga hdmis adapters two of our uga dps adapters and two of our uga hdmi 2s adapters so i'll go ahead and connect our first monitor with our uga hdmi s adapter and i'll connect the adapter to our usb 3.0 hub then connect the monitor to the adapter using the hdmi cable and it should display an image on the screen now i'll go ahead and just get everything else connected [Music] [Music] once everything is connected we now have eight individual displays that are unique and in extended mode this now allows us to have different applications on each display and allows us to drag applications to each display [Music] thanks for watching if you have any questions comment below you can email our support team at support plugable.com and don't forget to subscribe you
