hello, welcome to NETVN channel In this video I show how to dual boot macOS 13 and Windows 11 Here I have a computer running Windows 11 To install macOS Ventura, you need to prepare a USB stick of at least 2 GB in size To install macOS Ventura, you need to prepare a USB stick of at least 2 GB in size First you check the name of the processor you are using You use software called CPU Z to know the computer's hardware information The name of the processor I am using is Coffee Lake CPU Z tells you more about your computer, but you only need to know the processor name to install macOS on a Windows computer. CPU Z tells you more about your computer, but you only need to know the processor name to install macOS on a Windows computer. Next you download the files corresponding to your processor Next you download a folder called EFI Here I have a list of files corresponding to different processors Hope this list has the right file for your computer If you find the right file for your computer, don't forget to leave a like for this video I download the file corresponding to the processor named Coffee Lake You download and unzip it These are the files contained in the downloaded folder These files help you start macOS on your Windows 11 computer Next you download the installer for macOS 13 I put the link in the description This file is called Recovery This file is about 600 MB in size After downloading you extract it After extracting you have a folder named recovery.boot As mentioned in the previous step you need a USB drive to install macOS And here is my USB drive, it's being formatted as NTFS To create a bootable installer format it as FAT32 If your USB drive is larger than 32GB, create a new partition less than 32GB to format FAT32. If your USB drive is larger than 32GB, create a new partition less than 32GB to format FAT32. After formatting and naming you copy the necessary files to create a bootable installer You copy the files downloaded and unzipped in the previous step To make the USB drive bootable macOS you copy the folder named EFI Then you copy the folder named recovery.boot This folder helps you to install macOS 13 And here is the bootable macOS installer, there are two folders named EFI and recovery.boot They have subfolders and files as above To install dual boot on this computer I create a new partition for macOS Here I shrink the Windows 11 installation partition The new partition is 80 GB in size I created a new partition and named it macOS 13 I recommend that you name the partitions to avoid confusion in the next step The macOS installation partition I named macOS 13 The Windows installation partition I named Windows 11 The preparation steps have been completed, now you restart your computer and start installing the operating system You are not using a USB 3.0 port to install macOS My computer has 4 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports I use one of the two USB 2.0 ports to plug in a USB stick to install macOS I use one of the two USB 2.0 ports to plug in a USB stick to install macOS You need to make sure your computer is connected to the internet to download the necessary files when installing the operating system You need to make sure your computer is connected to the internet to download the necessary files when installing the operating system Next you go to UEFI BIOS and set the boot order For each motherboard model, there will be different boot settings, please refer to how to do it on Google I set up my computer to boot from the USB drive created in the previous step Here you choose macOS Recovery In the previous part I prepared a partition called macOS and now I format it This is the partition named Windows 11 and the other is called macOS 13 Thanks to the partition naming you will not be confused when choosing which partition to format I chose the partition named macOS 13 and formatted it to suit the macOS operating system I chose the partition named macOS 13 and formatted it to suit the macOS operating system You format this partition as APFS, which is a macOS-specific format After finishing formatting the target partition you install macOS on it You choose the partition named macOS 13 to install the operating system It will take about 1 hour to download the installer and install macOS 13 on the target partition It will take about 1 hour to download the installer and install macOS 13 on the target partition And here are the settings for the first time starting up macOS Ventura You set up the language, Apple ID, and more Also you are required to create an admin account for macOS Ventura After you finish creating an admin account, set up light mode or dark mode Next, follow the instructions to make macOS 13 detect the keyboard you use You press the keys next to the left Shift key and the right Shift key, respectively At this point you have completed the installation of macOS 13 but to boot it you need a USB drive But by default you cannot access the boot partition of the computer, so you use it to mount the partition named EFI But by default you cannot access the boot partition of the computer, so you use it to mount the partition named EFI Before doing that I installed Google Chrome for macOS 13 After completing the installation of Google Chrome you can delete the installer Next you download the tool called Mount EFI You double-click the downloaded file to extract it This tool requires macOS with Python installed, you just need to press the y key to download install Python This tool requires macOS with Python installed, you just need to press the y key to download install Python In this folder you have to right click the file named MountEFI.command and open it You choose the partition named macOS 13 to mount the boot partition After completing the mount, a new partition will appear named NO NAME This is the partition where the computer's boot files are stored Now you copy the boot files from the USB drive to the hard drive You copy two folders named BOOT and OC from the USB drive to the partition named EFI of the hard drive You copy two folders named BOOT and OC from the USB drive to the partition named EFI of the hard drive You replace the folder named original BOOT with the new folder Once the copy is done, unmount and remove the USB drive from your computer and reboot Once the copy is done, unmount and remove the USB drive from your computer and reboot By default, your computer will start Windows 11 and cannot start macOS Ventura On Windows 11 you use the following command to dual boot You open a command window with administrative rights To check the boot path you use the command bcdedit This is the default boot path on Windows 11 Next you change the boot path using the command bcdedit set bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\BOOT\Bootx64.efi Finished updating the new path, you use the bcdedit command to check the result As you can see the path has been changed The installation and setup steps have been completed, now I restart the computer and check the results Here you select ResetNVRAM then restart the computer and access UEFI BIOS In the UEFI BIOS you will see a new boot option called OpenCore You set up your computer to start using OpenCore. You will see your computer will dual boot I test macOS Ventura first Above are the steps to dual boot macOS 13 and Windows 11 on the same computer Thank you for watching don't forget to like and help me 600,000 subscribers You customize as above to fix audio on macOS Next I restarted the computer and checked Windows 11 Here you can choose to start either macOS Ventura or Windows 11 Different from last time here I choose to start Windows 11 Good luck, see you in the next video
